Professional Skills That Can Elevate Your Everyday Life

Professional Skills That Can Elevate Your Everyday Life

Nowadays, it seems as if the boundaries between our personal and professional lives are becoming increasingly blurred. While we often focus on honing skills for career advancement, it’s essential to recognize that many of these same skills can also enrich our personal lives. This isn’t just for people who work in corporate or who are aspiring to be influencers; this goes for all industries, and that even includes those who want to go into the medical field, trade school, and beyond.

Today, we are going to talk about some professional skills that could be fantastic in your personal life, especially when it comes to building up your personal brand. Here are a few that you might want to start perfecting:

Effective Communication:

Is this low-hanging fruit? Probably, but this is still some pretty important advice! Everyone knows the importance of effective communication, but many don’t quite grasp that this is the cornerstone of healthy relationships. Solid communication is so important, and it’s more than just hearing the other party; it’s listening to them and understanding what they’re saying.

The ability to express thoughts and feelings clearly, listen actively, and empathize with others fosters deeper connections and reduces misunderstandings. Just by honing your communication skills in professional settings, you can enhance your relationships, resolve conflicts more constructively, and become a better partner, parent, friend, and colleague.

Time Management:

It’s probably easily agreed by everyone that time is a precious commodity. This is why learning to prioritize tasks, set goals, and manage your time efficiently not only boosts productivity in the workplace but also allows you to make the most of your leisure time. Again, this might be one of those obvious skills; it’s something that children usually learn at a young age, but to this day, people whether in their professional or personal lives still struggle with time management. Learning how to mitigate all of this just makes life so much easier and less stressful.

Being Adaptable:

Life tends to throw curveballs at us every once in a while, and we need to manage it and try to overcome it (or catch it). Since it’s inevitable and can happen at any time, it’s important to understand that the ability to adapt to change and bounce back from setbacks is invaluable both professionally and personally. No matter who you are, you need to understand that life is full of unexpected twists and turns, from job transitions and financial challenges to health crises and personal losses. This is exactly why developing resilience equips you with the mental fortitude to navigate adversity with grace, learn from setbacks, and emerge stronger than before.

Basic Life Support:

This one might be a little dark, but if you were to take a BLS class, there might always be the chance that you could one day literally save someone’s life. This is one of those skills that’s mixed. Some industries (like medical) just expect this, while other industries will think it’s an important skill to have in case an emergency happens to a team member.

This can potentially help someone in case of an emergency professional-wise, but it can be just as valuable when it comes to your personal life, too. In everyday life, unexpected emergencies can arise, such as cardiac arrest, choking, or drowning. If you have BLS training, you’re gaining the knowledge and confidence to intervene effectively in such critical situations, potentially saving the life of a loved one, friend, or stranger.

Negotiations:

Negotiating can be a very uncomfortable situation. But you need to keep in mind that negotiation skills are invaluable in navigating professional relationships, whether it’s securing a deal, resolving disputes, or collaborating with colleagues. These same skills are equally essential in personal interactions, from negotiating household responsibilities to resolving conflicts with loved ones (or even just trying to buy a high-ticket item like a house or car).

Emotional Regulation:

When it comes to a professional setting, sometimes you need to swallow your pride and take what’s being thrown at you. It can be so hard not to explode and it might be seen as unprofessional if you show negative emotions when someone is mistreating you. In your personal life, you might be more tempted to talk back if someone mistreats you. Being able to control your emotions no matter how unpleasant the situation may be is an excellent tool. Lacking that emotional regulation and control can get you into serious trouble. This is a valuable skill that takes time to learn, but it’s so worth it.

No one is saying to bring work home with you, but some skills you use in the workplace can be most helpful in your every day life!

Writing Prompts For 2024

Writing Prompts For 2024

Howdy everyone!! Is it just me or does January feel like an entire year in itself? Lol, it has been rainy and so freaking cold in good old Akron, Ohio and every day has felt like an eternity. I literally just said yesterday that one of my blogging goals was to try lots of new activities and hit up restaurants and stores that are outside of the norm for me. However, I think I will do all of that when I can leave the apartment without getting drenched or frostbite lol. If you are hibernating like me this month, it might be hard to create content so I thought I would share some writing prompts to help the cause. Let’s get to it:

  • What are you most looking forward to in 2024?
  • If you are rocking a “new year, new me” vibe, what is going to be new about you?
  • What is a goal or resolution that you have achieved?
  • What is a goal or resolution that you gave up on?
  • What is something new that you want to try this year?
  • What is something that you are leaving behind in 2023?
  • How would you recap 2023? Did anything amazing happen?
  • Is there anything you really hope to accomplish this year?
  • What does a new year mean to you? Is it inspiring or daunting?
  • Do you plan on making any major changes this year? What are they?

The beginning of a new year is a time for reflection and that can be reflected in your content! This is the perfect time to start planning what you want 2024 to look like for you and figuring out the steps you need to take to make it happen. You might find that these prompts will be able to help with that, which is the whole point! This time of the year can be inspiring or it can be writer’s block central. It’s up to you, so make the most of it. 🙂

If you use any of the above prompts, please tag me in the post or shoot me a comment so I can check it out. I would love to see it! ❤

What helps you when you have writer’s block? Does the weather tend to affect your mood or motivation? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Hobbies That Are Guaranteed To Beat Stress

Hobbies That Are Guaranteed To Beat Stress

Stress is a normal part of life, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t be doing things to help to let it go. We need to have healthy methods for coping with anxiety and stress. One of the best ways to do this is to have a hobby. Whether you are crafting with friends or you are choosing to go to the movies, you need a hobby that’s going to make you feel happy. Let’s take a look at the hobbies that are guaranteed to beat your stress for a healthier lifestyle:

Start a collection:

One of the hobbies, as old as time itself, is collecting. When most people think of a collection, they envision someone collecting expensive antiques. But it doesn’t have to be the case. In fact, you could start a very simple collection, especially if you love to travel. You could pick up a key ring at every city you visit and eventually build up a whole world’s worth of key rings on a pegboard. It doesn’t matter what you choose to collect but pick something that you’re passionate and excited about.

Do more with music:

Whether you’re playing an instrument or just listening to more music, it is one of the best hobbies that is going to guarantee that your stress will be beaten. You can pop on some noise canceling headphones and let your favorite songs play through them or you could decide to start some lessons so that you can learn how to play an instrument. There is plenty of music in the world that’s just waiting for you to pay attention to it!

Work on puzzles:

An amazing way to unwind is to start puzzling. Even if you haven’t put together a puzzle in years, you’ll find that working through the challenge of one can be incredibly relaxing. Playing by yourself is a good way to enjoy some solo downtime, but you can grab a friend to do the puzzle with you and still have just as much fun. The best part is, there are so many beautiful puzzles out there and when you’re done, you can either frame them for your house or box them back up again to enjoy another time.

Start baking:

Whether you like to bake cakes or biscuits, it doesn’t really matter. Baking is an amazing way for you to beat your stress. You’ll be able to have easy access to delicious treats, but you’ll be able to watch the pile of ingredients become something beautiful. You can decide to sell them and make a business out of it, or you can just continue to bake at home for your own fun.

Work with your hands:

Sometimes, putting your hands to work can make a massive difference. Whether you are rebuilding a car or you are crafting, you’ll find that your mental health improves when you can put your mind and concentration into something amazing. Building something from the ground up is a huge achievement and it helps to promote patience at the same time!

Learn a new language:

It doesn’t matter whether you only know one language right now, you can still Learn a new language. Everybody has the capacity to learn something new. So start with the basic vocabulary and take your time to understand the history and the culture behind each language you choose to learn.

Not only is having a hobby great fun, but it is a wonderful stress reliever. Try any of the above and shake that stress away!

Why You Should Embrace Your Inner Child

Standard
Why You Should Embrace Your Inner Child

Adulthood was once considered the time to ‘put away childish things’ as a famous poet once wrote. But why? There are so many benefits to embracing your inner child that we should all be making more time to get back into the kid headspace more often. Let’s discuss:

Laughter is the Best Medicine (and It’s Free!):

Remember when you used to laugh so hard that milk would shoot out of your nose? Okay, maybe don’t aim for the nose-milk part, but laughter really is good for you, and science says so, so there (see I’m getting childish already). It relieves stress, boosts your mood, and even burns calories. So go ahead, watch that cartoon, giggle at silly jokes, and let your laugh be as loud and unapologetic as a child’s.

Playtime Isn’t Just for Kids:

Play isn’t just for the under-10s; it’s a crucial part of being a happy, well-rounded adult too. Yes, really! Okay, so what does this play look like? This could mean anything from board games and sports to arts and crafts, or maybe even building up an army of your favorite collectible toys and letting them battle it out whenever you need to de-stress. Speaking of stress, ever tried adult coloring books? They’re like therapy, but with more crayons and less awkward silences.

Curiosity Didn’t Kill the Cat; It Made Life More Interesting:

Kids are curious about everything, and somehow, as adults, we lose that. Well, now it’s time to reignite your curiosity. Ask questions, explore, and try new things. It keeps life interesting and your brain engaged. Remember, it’s never too late to learn how to play the guitar or speak another language. Unless it’s Klingon. Maybe draw the line at Klingon. This will keep you feeling young, but more importantly, it will keep your brain healthy as you get older, too.

Emotions: Feel Them All:

Kids feel their emotions deeply and aren’t afraid to show them. As adults, we often bottle things up, and this is not, for the most part, a good thing. It’s okay to be vulnerable, to feel sad, happy, or even throw a good old-fashioned tantrum (preferably not in the middle of a supermarket, though).

Imagination: More Valuable Than You Think:

Our imagination seems to shrink as we age, but it’s one of our most powerful tools. Use it! Dream big, think creatively in your job, or just daydream about being a pirate. Imagination adds color to the mundane grayness of adult life.

Say Yes to Adventure:

Remember when a simple trip to the park felt like an adventure? Bring that feeling back. Be spontaneous, say yes to new experiences, and see where life takes you. It’s about making memories, not just to-do lists.

Your hair might be grey and your knees might ache like never before, but that doesn’t mean you can’t embrace the child within every day!

A Lil Red Update

A Lil Red Update

Helloooo darlings! Is it just me or have these past few months been crazy? I feel like I have been going nonstop and am so looking forward to Christmas break even though I literally just took time off for Thanksgiving lol. Even though I have been on the move between all of my jobs and I am exhausted, it hasn’t been bad at all! In fact, I have made quite a few changes to my work schedule and have been enjoying it – even though this change requires me to get up at three AM a few mornings during the work week. 😮 So early, I know but so worth it!

Since October I have been providing transportation to one of my old clients to take him to work. I pick him up at seven thirty in the morning, but that doesn’t mean that I can sleep in until I have to leave. After lots of mental math, I realized that I would need to get up at three for my morning to go like usual. Get up, work out, take care of the bunnies, shower, take the buns out to play, write, and work from home for my other job for two hours. After all of this, it takes me to seven o’clock when I have to leave.

The mornings are a doozy, for sure, but I have so loved seeing my old client again that I don’t even care. What’s even better is that our day together doesn’t end once we get to his job because I have recently became his job coach too! I got my job coaching certification a few years ago for another client and, unfortunately, it fell through. I never sought out another client for that particular aspect of my job so it was most exciting for the opportunity to give it a shot. I like to think I’m rocking it, but my client takes the cake and it has been a great experience for both of us. 🙂

My work in the field isn’t the only thing that has been keeping me busy busy because online work has been nuts too. Gotta love peak advertising season! Between lifewithlilred, my job as an in house writer for a tech entrepreneur, and potentially creating a podcast with a local celebrity, it’s safe to say that I have had a lot of quality time with my computer. It’s a lot, yes, but once again it is extremely fulfilling and I am thrilled with all of the ways that my different jobs have been taking off. I feel so proud of myself and it keeps me motivated to keep working hard to achieve even more of my goals.

With all of these changes to my work schedule, I am patting myself on the back and giving myself an “attagirl” for being all done with my holiday shopping! I knew there was a reason that I started around August because it’s one less thing I have to worry about now. Well… Except for wrapping everything lol but, otherwise, it’s a wrap. I can’t wait to keep working my hardest until my holiday break and hope the new year starts just as strong!

What has been going on in your wonderful world? How has work been going for you? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

How To Explore Your Career Options In The Medical Field

Standard
How To Explore Your Career Options In The Medical Field

Statistics show that about 44% of people are planning to make a career switch. If you are in this group, career exploration can help you figure out your next steps, whether you are a recent graduate looking for a job or a seasoned professional considering a change. The purpose of this process is to understand more about your alternatives and limit your selections to one path that best suits you. Career exploration can also help you gain confidence that will impress a hiring manager and connect you with people in various sectors. This post will highlight how to explore your career options in the medical field:

Start with yourself:

Consider what piques your interest, what you like doing, and what inspires you. If you are a recent graduate from medical school, consider the roles you played in school projects, groups, or part-time work that you excelled at or enjoyed. If you are thinking about changing careers, evaluate what you have always wanted to accomplish or what you liked and disliked about your past jobs. Make a list of what is essential to you in a profession, as well as specializations or issues that can inspire you.

Look at possible careers:

After you have developed a list of places and roles that interest you the most, begin studying occupations that meet most of, if not all, of your requirements. Learn about job descriptions, typical earnings, job outlook, education and training requirements, and everyday tasks. Now, make a list of your top alternatives. This stage allows you to make an informed decision, so keep this in mind. As a tip, consider completing a free online assessment as part of your study to determine what occupations would suit your interests, experience, and skills. For instance, if you wish to work as an emergency medical technician, you can schedule a paramedic ride along to get hands-on experience.

Get rid of any jobs that do not interest you:

Some job paths may not be in your best interest as you continue to research them. Some may demand more knowledge and hard skills than you presently have or wish to obtain, others may pay less than you want to make, and still, others may not have a good employment outlook, which might lead to job instability later on. Be as picky as you need to be during this phase so that you end up with feasible prospects. Not only does this set you up for success, but you can avoid wasting your time.

Get interactive with people in the field:

You may conduct a lot of study on your final job alternatives, but the finest insights into your selection will likely come from individuals who are currently working in the field. Contact people in your professional network or instructors if you are in college and ask if they know anyone you can contact who would be willing to chat with you about their experience. Ask questions, get information, and build future connections.

Doing your research and the good old fashioned process of elimination will help you better explore careers in the medical field!

New Piercing, Who Dis?

New Piercing, Who Dis?

Hello! Last weekend was full of changes and I felt nothing short of inspired after getting my hair done. So much so, that a new hairdo was simply not enough and I needed something more. I have been wanting a double septum piercing for literal years now and I decided that there was no better time than the present. Rather than thinking about wanting it for the millionth time, I finally walked the walk on top of the talk and scheduled an appointment to get it done last Saturday. I went to Lucid, which is an amazing piercing shop down the street from me. Alex, the owner, took exceptional care and gave me an end result that I am thrilled with:

image_50381313(3)image_50442753(12)

^^^ Don’t mind these terrible pictures lol you will see my new piercing soon enough in my Thanksgiving OOTDs! 🙂

I have been to Lucid several times to change out my nose jewelry, but have never been pierced by Alex before. As soon as Johnny and I walked into the store, he armed me with knowledge about the procedure of the piercing and assisted in the jewelry selection. For my original septum piercing, I chose a new close fitting hoop with black gem detailing – it is gorgeous! I still loved the shape of the horseshoe jewelry for my original piercing and chose a slightly smaller version for the piercing that Alex would be doing. Once my jewelry was chosen, he went to work on sterilizing the jewelry and piercing room. I would be a liar if I said I wasn’t a bit nervous because it has been over half a decade at least since I have gotten a new piercing!

After the room was prepped, it was time to get this thing over with. I definitely had some butterflies in my basket and Alex was most skilled at putting me at ease. Throughout the entire process, he talked me through every step of what he was doing as he did it. His voice was so soothing and calm and it made me feel infinitely better to hear him explain things since I couldn’t really see it. Alex swapped out my original jewelry, marked where my new piercing would go, pierced my double septum, and…

It wasn’t so bad!! Lol, it was honestly exactly how it felt when I got my septum pierced the first time and that was minimally painful. Then again, I have a really high pain tolerance so my opinion might not be the best one if you are considering something similar! After my jewelry was in, I was blown away by Alex’s expertise. He placed the new piercing perfectly and I couldn’t stop looking at myself in the mirror. This new piercing is fun and different and I can’t believe it took me this long to finally get it done!

I am loving my new look and am considering a Medusa piercing in the future. Hey, I’m not getting any younger and I know exactly where I’ll go if I get it done!

Have you gotten a new body modification recently? Do you have any plans to get one soon? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Embrace Green Beauty With Washable Skincare Essentials

Standard
Embrace Green Beauty With Washable Skincare Essentials

Imagine a world where your beauty routine aligns perfectly with your values of protecting the planet. This world isn’t a distant dream; it’s a reality you can start living now. As you explore sustainable beauty, you’ll discover an array of washable skincare essentials that care for your skin and cherish our planet. This guide will unveil the secrets of transitioning to a sustainable beauty regimen, focusing on a critical element revolutionizing skincare: washable skincare essentials:

Understanding Sustainable Skincare:

As you delve into the world of sustainable beauty, you might wonder what exactly makes a beauty routine ‘sustainable.’ At its core, sustainable skincare is about choices that respect the earth and its resources. It’s a commitment to products and practices that minimize environmental impact and support ethical, responsible sourcing.

What is Sustainable Beauty?

Sustainable beauty, for you, means embracing products and practices that have a lesser environmental footprint. It’s about saying ‘no’ to single-use plastics and unnecessary waste and ‘yes’ to reusable, recyclable, and biodegradable options. When you choose a sustainable beauty path, you’re not just deciding for yourself; you’re making a statement about the kind of world you want to live in.

The Environmental Impact of Traditional Skincare Products:

Recognizing the impact traditional skincare products have on our environment is crucial. Countless disposable wipes, cotton pads, and plastic-packaged products end up in landfills and oceans, contributing to pollution and harming wildlife. You might feel that your choices are just a drop in the bucket, but remember, every drop counts. By shifting your focus to sustainable options, you’re part of a growing wave of conscious consumers driving a positive change for our planet.

Benefits of Switching to Washable Products:

Switching to washable skincare products comes with many benefits beyond just being kind to the planet. These reusable items can be more cost-effective in the long run. Think about how often you buy disposable wipes or cotton pads. With washable alternatives, you invest once and reuse many times, saving money and reducing waste. Additionally, many of these washable options are made with gentler, more natural materials, which can be kinder to your skin.

Washable Makeup Remover Pads: A Game Changer:

Among the various washable skincare products, one stands out for its simplicity and effectiveness: washable makeup remover pads. These pads are a game changer in your skincare routine. They work just like the disposable ones but without the guilt of adding to landfill waste. Soft, gentle, and practical, these pads can be used with your favorite cleanser or micellar water to remove makeup and be easily washed and reused. By incorporating washable makeup remover pads into your routine, you’re taking care of your skin and doing your part in reducing environmental waste.

Incorporating Washable Essentials into Your Routine:

Choosing the Right Products:

First, pick washable products that suit your skin. If you have sensitive skin, look for soft materials like organic cotton. There are also options with a bit of texture for gentle exfoliation. The goal is to find eco-friendly products that meet your skincare needs.

Caring for Your Washable Skincare Products:

To keep your washable products in good shape, rinse them after use and wash them with your regular laundry. Put them in a mesh bag to keep them together. Avoid fabric softeners to maintain their absorbency. Air-drying is best to keep them soft and effective for a long time.

Embracing sustainable beauty routines is more than just a trend; it’s a commitment to a healthier planet and a more conscious lifestyle. By incorporating washable skincare essentials into your routine, you’re taking a significant step towards reducing your environmental impact. These simple changes in your daily beauty regimen can have a profound effect not only on the environment but also on your well-being and finances!

Sleeping Good, Feeling Great

Sleeping Good, Feeling Great

Hello!! I have had a few appointments with my new therapist and it has been most helpful! She is seriously the best and is so much fun to talk to – it’s almost like I’m venting to a friend and I really like that. I have noticed a significant difference in my mood already just by being able to vocalize some of the things that have been weighing on my mind. Another big change that I made other than therapy is finding someone new to handle my medication management and that has been a HUGE success!

It’s incredibly important to get professional help for your well-being when you’re struggling mentally. There are some great services out there, like this website, that you can look into when it comes to improving your mental health and well-being in general.

Prior to the new person I have been going to for med management, I was just seeing a general practitioner. He was fine, but our appointments literally only lasted like two minutes and it was expensive as all get out. So, I decided to make an appointment with a nurse practitioner who works in the same office as my therapist. My only regret? That I didn’t do it sooner because she is awesome and prescribed me a new medication that has seriously changed my life.

This past summer, I was diagnosed with PTSD. I have always suffered from night terrors, but it was getting to be SO extreme. There was a point when I was only having a handful of night terrors per week and it turned into an every single night affair. For months, I was waking up every night screaming and it was horrible for both me and Johnny. It was so hard to fall back asleep after I jarred us awake from screaming bloody murder and we were going through life exhausted.

I had no idea that there was a medication that could help with my night terrors, so I never brought it up. You could have knocked me over with a feather when my nurse practitioner told me that there was something that she could prescribe! Since taking this new medication, I have not had one single night terror. None. Nada. Zip. Zero. I don’t think I realized how sleep deprived I was until I was actually getting a good night’s sleep for the first time in months.

Now that I am sleeping better, I feel energized, my mood has improved, and my work days don’t feel anywhere near as daunting. Normally, I would be too fatigued by the time the weekend rolled around to do anything. Now, Johnny and I have had outings with friends, family, and ourselves every weekend. It’s fun! I feel more like myself than I have in months and I am so thankful that I am finally sleeping through the night. The power of being well rested is a real thing!

If you feel like you are struggling, I can’t encourage you enough to seek help. It might feel scary, but you are going to feel so much better and I am proof of that. I know you can do it! ❤

What is something that helps you sleep well? Do you dream a lot when you sleep? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Reduce Your Stress In 5 Steps

Standard
Reduce Your Stress In 5 Steps

In life, we all deal with stress for various reasons. However, we do not need to live life feeling stressed. We should live life feeling happy and calm. If you feel that you are overly stressed and do not know how to reduce it and regain your quality of life and happiness, follow these steps:

Consult a chiropractor:

Many people assume that a chiropractor can only help with back pain and neck aches. But they are capable of so much more. If you are feeling stressed out, they are a great person to talk to. You will be shocked at how much assistance they can provide. Reducing stress and improving your daily well-being can be achieved by making minor adjustments to your joints and muscles. If you are interested in visiting a chiropractor, simply enter a search for “Chiropractor Near Me“. Seek a practice that has excellent reviews and customer testimonials.

Strive for a harmonious work-life balance.

It is essential that you achieve a healthy work-life balance; otherwise, you can risk experiencing a lot of stress for no reason. For example, you are doing nothing but working if you are not taking enough breaks during the workday and taking your holidays. Taking pauses can help your mind clear and concentrate, keeping you composed and preventing unneeded tension.

Make every effort to enhance your work-life balance if you believe that your job is giving you a lot of stress. You will discover the mental and physical benefits of an exercise class after work, as well as the mental benefits of a ten minute break. And, be sure to pamper yourself during your downtime too. Whether that be taking a long soak in the tub or even booking an appointment for acupuncture to soothe stress. To begin finding a practitioner near you, simply enter a search for “acupuncture clinic London” (or your local area) and explore the different services available.

Breathe deeply and meditate:

Some people do not realize the amazing effects and benefits of managing stress through meditation and deep breathing techniques. People can stay calm and in the present moment by engaging in these mindful practices. All it takes to control your cortisol levels and ensure that you do not experience needless stress during the day is a few minutes of deep breathing or meditation each morning.

For some people, vape devices may offer them a complementary means to supplement their deep breathing practices. When they choose vape liquid with soothing flavors or aromas, they may find it easier to relax and focus on their breathing exercises. While meditation and deep breathing alone are powerful practices, when combined with tools that enhance relaxation, it can create an even more enjoyable and tailored experience. It’s important that you are mindful of both the quality and composition of the vape liquid to make sure that it aligns with your overall health and well-being goals.

Cut down on screen time:

Cutting back on your screen time will be very beneficial for stress management and relief. The extent to which screen time can negatively impact your stress levels and mental health will astound you. You will undoubtedly feel more at ease and content when you go to bed and throughout the evening if you cut down on your screen time each night.

Get more rest:

When it comes to lowering your stress levels, one of the best things you can do is to get more sleep. Your body and mind may feel extremely stressed and exhausted if you are not getting enough sleep. Setting a daily goal of 7 to 9 hours is crucial. That is okay if you can not get this much sleep or if you need less. On the other hand, you will worsen your health and experience more stress if you do not prioritize getting enough sleep. You will undoubtedly feel more at ease and be able to sleep for a longer period of time if you go to bed earlier and put down your phone a few hours before.

These simple steps can be incorporated in your life immediately to help start reducing your stress!
