Man Crush Monday: Zahn McClarnon Edition

Hello everyone and happy Monday! Lifewithlilred has lacked a new Man Crush Monday for a while now because I thought I had all of my celebrity crushes covered…but after seeing Zahn McClarnon on FX’s Fargo, I knew that I thought wrong. My dad and I are big Fargo fans so when we finally got around to watching season two and McClarnon’s character, Hanzee Dent, was introduced I was completely dumbstruck. Dear Zahn McClarnon,

If there’s one thing that I love in a man, it’s cheekbones that you can cut glass with. If there’s another thing that I love in a man, it’s long, luscious, flowing locks. So needless to say, when you made your debut on Fargo as Hanzee, my jaw dropped to the floor. You are literally the most gorgeous man that I have seen on TV in years and I am not just saying that. Not only are you incredibly good looking BUT you’re incredibly talented! You were hands down one of the best parts of Fargo Season Two and I loved watching you every time your character appeared. I was just as impressed by your strong and stoic demeanor as I was by your striking features and that really says something about you as an actor! I hope to see a lot more of you in the future and if you read this then please marry me.

What a guy, what a guy, what a heck of a guy. For those of you who haven’t hopped on the Fargo train, then I cannot recommend it highly enough. Both seasons are excellent and you have some fantastic eye candy to ogle at, too! Obviously.

Oh Larry, you beautiful bald headed Jewish man, you. Thank you for creating the brilliance that is Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm. Television as we know it would be nothing today without you, NOTHING. You were the brains behind the literal best sitcom of all time and your sense of humor is completely unmatched by the comedians of 2015. Thank you for creating TV shows that I can sit down with my parents and enjoy. Thank you for creating TV shows that I can quote to my wits end with people who are in on the Seinfeld and Curb jokes. Because let’s be honest, people who haven’t seen the shows just wouldn’t get it. Your infamous tongue in cheek openness about subjects ranging from people parking outside of the lines to absolutely nothing at all have earned you the tip of my cap. Hubba hubba, sir. Do I find you hella attractive? Not at all…Openness, right? But do I find your amazing creativity enviable and incredible – Yes, I do. Larry David, you are a genius and I LOVE YOU!!!

I loved Mr. Arnett as Stranz Van Waldenberg in Blades Of Glory and now he bursts my buttons every night as the sleazy but hysterical Gob in Arrested Development. Oh Will, you big ol’ funny guy, you! My mom and I began watching Arrested Development on our drive to Orlando, Florida this past summer for our vacation and your character, Gob, quickly became one of our favorites. We are just wrapping up season two and the clip that I chose to honor you with literally had my mom and I rolling around on the floor while laughing our heads off. KOKA KOH KOKA KOH!! I would give anything to do the chicken dance with you! You play Gob’s pretentious and ridiculous self to sheer perfection which leaves me wanting to binge watch entire seasons of Arrested Development after every episode. You are a fantastic character actor and you are also quite the looker! Hubba hubba to you! Your unconventional good looks and tall lanky bod revs my engine. Not only are you a handsome son of a gun but you have the personality to match which makes me lust after you even more. I LOVE YOU!!!!!

Since the buzz on American Horror Story: Hotel is in full swing it only seems appropriate to dedicate a #MCM post to the AHS star that everyone swoons over! Dear Evan Peters,

Oh sweet sweet Evan, you darling boy, you. Saying that I love you is an understatement…because I really freakin love you. Your performances season after season on American Horror Story are beyond impressive. I stand firm in the belief that the show would be nothing without you and Sarah Paulson especially now that Jessica Lange is no longer the AHS queen bee. Every role you’ve played on American Horror Story has been dynamite but I think my forever favorite would have to be Tate Langdon on Murder House. Your debut as the disturbed but charming as hell Tate made me as well as probably every person viewing the show fall head over heels in love with you. Another favorite of mine is when you played Kit Walker in Asylum – hubba hubba!! Unfortunately, I wasn’t too fond of when you played Kyle in Coven because all I wanted to do was hear your sweet voice instead of Frankenstein style grunting every episode. And of course I wouldn’t mind you putting your lobster claws all over me as Jimmy Darling in Freak Show! I’m so excited for your character to be introduced in Hotel so I can stare longingly at the television every time you appear on screen! I LOVE YOU!!!!

Mr. Scott has made me swoon as douchebag brother, Derek, in Step Brothers and sweetheart soulmate to Leslie Knope on Parks and Recreation, Ben Wyatt. Oh Adam, you darling sensitive man, you! I was introduced to your cuteness and Vanilla Ice lip syncing self in Step Brothers and I have been so fond of you ever since. It was such a treat to see you in Hot Tub Time Machine 2, which my boyfriend and I watched recently – we replayed the scene of you majorly tripping so many times! And please, PLEASE don’t even get me started on my deep love for you on Parks & Rec. My mom and I freaking adore your character, Ben Wyatt. His adorable picture perfect relationship with Leslie Knope is the most precious thing on the planet. You play his sweet and incredibly nerdy character so well and you and Amy Poehler were absolute gold together. Not only are you an amazingly talented actor but you’re also amazingly handsome! Hubba hubba, sir. Your staggering good looks are unmatched and I can totally see why Leslie Knope has a strong yearning for your butt on Parks & Rec!! As the front man for some of my favorite bands such as Wolf Parade, Sunset Rubdown, and Swan Lake as well as being in association with Frog Eyes, it only seemed appropriate to finally show some love to this multi talented artist. Oh Spencer, sweet sweet Spencer. I’ll never forget the first time my older brother introduced me to your music by playing Wolf Parade’s “I’ll Believe In Anything”. I was so blown away by your unique voice and your incredible ability to invoke emotion in all of your songs. The way that you can go from soft crooning to rocker howls at the drop of a hat keeps me on my toes and makes me feel firey passion deep in my loins. I would give anything to see one of your many bands in concert and I’ll forever be jealous of my brother for seeing Wolf Parade perform when they opened for Arcade Fire during their “Us Kids Know” tour. Your unmistakable voice and thought provoking lyrics are well matched to your staggering good looks. Hubba hubba, sir. If there’s one thing mama loves, it’s a good looking man who has musical talent – which basically sums you up in a nut shell. Whether your hair is long or short and no matter what band you’re currently repping, you are a stud and a half. The day that I can see you perform live is the day I can die happy. I LOVE YOU!!!!!!

The front man of one of my favorite bands, The Vines, has been one of my celebrity crushes since I was ten years old. His eccentric antics and quirky looks stole my heart and I don’t think I’ll be getting it back anytime soon! Take a listen to one of my favorite songs by The Vines and then let’s discuss:

Dear Craig Nicholls,

Oh, Craig. Sweet and a tiny bit over the top Craig. “Ride”, the track I chose to honor you with will always be one of my go to jams. My brother introduced the song to me along with the super cool music video and I was hooked ever since. I have all of the albums by The Vines safely stored on my iPod and I play them frequently to get me hyped for school, auditions, or just running around doing errands. What instantly made me attracted to you was your wild personality. Usually I’m more of a fan of the sensitive, brooding types of guys but there was something special about you. Your blatant “who gives a fuck” lifestyle wasn’t something that you put on for publicity – it was who you are and I really liked that. It was and still is refreshing to see someone in the public eye who refuses to change despite the posh and pristine Hollywood image that’s constantly shoved down everyone’s throats. There are so many things that I love about The Vines but I think my favorite thing about them is your voice! Your slightly stoned and surfer boy vocals are seriously perfect and I can’t get enough! Not only are you amazingly talented but you’re also amazingly handsome! Hubba hubba to you, sir. Your disheveled hair, extreme facial expressions, and pursed mouth that’s constantly dragging on a cigarette rev my engine. You are truly one of my dream men and I LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!

My #MCM this week is one that I’m quite shocked I haven’t wrote about sooner because I’ve had a crush on him since I was nine years old! Davey Havok will always hold a special place in my heart as one of my first love interests so it only seems appropriate to finally feature him! Oh, Davey. Davey, Davey, Davey. My older brother introduced me to the song I chose to honor you with when I was nine years old. After that fateful introduction, I became a hardcore AFI fan. In fact, AFI’s album, “Sing The Sorrow”, was the first CD I ever purchased. I still have it to this day, twelve years later, and I still love it just the same. Your music has gotten me through some of the darkest times of my life and for that I thank you. Your music has also helped me see the joy that can come out of dark situations and for that I also thank you. To put it lightly Davey, I am insanely infatuated with you. Your voice, your perfect face, your gorgeous hair! Hubba hubba, sir. But seriously, you have the most incredible voice no matter what you do with it – somber crooning, screaming, or that slightly high pitched singing that you do so well…It’s all nothing short of amazing. And can we please talk about your hair?! Please?! Black, blue, long, short, or angular which was stunning with your striking features – I love it all equally. Dear Kevin Bacon,

Alright K-Bakes, I’m not gonna lie – I’m not too familiar with a lot of your work. SUE ME FOR IT, because I was a faithful follower to The Following from the beginning. That show was and still is one of my healthy obsessions and saying that I’m devastated that it’s over is a big fat understatement. Your performance as Ryan Hardy in The Following gave me a new found appreciation for the good guy and the show in general also made me develop a crush on serial killer, Joe Carroll…But that’s neither here nor there. You’ve been in the Hollywood game a while now, Kevs, and I must say, you’ve aged amazingly well – one might almost call it godlike. I am so shamelessly, hopelessly, and helplessly infatuated with you that maybe I should dig into the library archives and borrow Footloose. Until that day comes, allow me to say that you are SO handsome. I mean, really handsome. Hubba hubba to you, sir. Your chiseled features and sultry voice sure know how to make a bitch swoon. And those eyes?! Jesus. I LOVE YOU!!!!
