Tips For Taking The Best Care Of Your Dog

Tips For Taking The Best Care Of Your Dog

Welcoming an extra furry member to your family can be such a rewarding experience, as a dog can provide you with comfort and entertainment to no end. Learning how to provide the best care for your pup should always be a priority whenever you invest in a new pet, as the responsibility is on you to look after them to the best of your ability. Luckily it needn’t be difficult to ensure they can lead a happy, healthy life, as there are a few key areas in which you can focus your efforts to make them feel comfortable and content for as long as possible. Like the following:

Eating Well:

One of the most important parts of your dog’s day is dinner time, and it’s vital that you make an effort to keep them on a healthy, balanced diet. Unfortunately, it’s so easy to just grab the cheapest canned food option from the supermarket shelf, but it’s more than likely that this choice will be made up of the lowest quality ingredients that provide little benefit whatsoever. Taking your dog’s diet seriously will mean that they have a much better chance of leading a long and comfortable life, as avoiding artificial foods can reduce the risk of illnesses like cancer occurring. There are so many fresh pet food options on the market today, even those which are kept inside the fridge, so take some time to research each choice and make an informed decision on which one is most suited to your pup.

If you want to take it one step further, you may wish to consider making your own dog food from scratch at home. There are hundreds of recipes online that you can utilize, most of which are based around grains, meat, fruit, and vegetables. Making your own dog food at home will be really beneficial for your pup if they have any allergies or sensitivities, as you can track the ingredients to make sure every dish is gentle on their tummy. Providing your dog with a healthy dinner each and every day will give them the energy they need to thrive, as well as all of the vitamins and minerals that their mind and body needs to function at optimum levels.

Regular Exercise & Play:

Making sure that your pup gets regular exercise is key to maintaining proper health, as they need a chance to stretch their legs, move their muscles, and work their heart harder. Aim to take them on a walk at least once a day, more if you can, as this will provide them with the exercise they need to stay fit. Taking them on a walk will also give them the opportunity to meet with other dogs, allowing them to stay social and improve their interaction skills at the same time. Regular play is a key feature of a calm and happy temperament, as a dog that’s bored is often much more unruly.

The duration of your pups daily exercise session should depend on their breed and age, as smaller or older dogs will want to walk far less than larger or younger dogs. Make your walks interesting by taking them on a route that includes a little nature such as a field or a forest, as they will get the chance to be a real animal and use their senses as they were destined to in the ‘wild’. You may also wish to take a few play items with you on your walk, such as a tennis ball or rope so you can play games like fetch to get them moving.

Keep Them Clean:

It’s absolutely essential that you keep your dog as clean as possible, otherwise they will experience discomfort, distress, and potentially even disease. Depending on the breed of your dog, you should aim to wash them at least once a month, possibly more, to keep them clean and fresh. If you aren’t able to wash your dog yourself, don’t simply skip over your responsibilities – take them to a groomer! If you do wish to clean your dog by yourself, then start off by finding a quality shampoo that suits their fur type. You can find shed control blends, sensitive products for dry skin, and so much more. It’s a good idea to read up on reviews left by previous customers to get a better view of the quality of the product you wish to buy before you invest, as there’s nothing worse than finding yourself in the bathroom with your dog covered in water and a shampoo that simply won’t lather.

Always remember to rinse their fur well and follow up with a conditioner for a touch of luxury. Make sure they are as dry as possible once you’ve finished bathing them, as wet dogs often smell quite foul. In addition to bathing, you should also perform other hygiene related tasks such as clipping their nails and you can even find dog teeth cleaning centers which can help to maintain their pearly whites. Making sure that your pup is clean will aid them in feeling comfortable and calm, and they’ll surely repay you with endless affection for the effort that you put in. Keeping your dog clean will also help you to keep your house clean, so it’s a win win situation!

Learning how to take great care of your dog has never been so simple with the tips above! Start off by sourcing the best quality food for your pup to devour and make sure you allow them to take part in regular exercise and play to stay physically and socially active. And also, please pet them for me! 🙂

2020 Writing Tips

Standard
2020 Writing Tips

Hello! lifewithlilred is known for having fresh new content every day and, other than a few rare occasions, I can say that I have posted something daily for the past six plus years of my blog’s existence. Mind you, this is no easy task and even I suffer from writer’s block – especially in 2020.

I’ll be the first to admit that it’s hard to come up with content when there really isn’t anything to do safely, compliments of COVID. That hasn’t stopped me, though, and it shouldn’t prevent you from creating, either. If you’re struggling to post new content, take a look at some of the tricks that I use daily for a little inspiration:

Your posts do not have to be “groundbreaking”:

Just because it feels like you have nothing to write about doesn’t mean you don’t have anything to write about. Your posts don’t always have to be deep or profound. They can be goofy, short, and simple and people will still like it just the same. I find that my readers are happy to hear from me daily even if some of my posts are just a couple of paragraphs long.

Don’t drive yourself crazy trying to come up with content that could go viral or spark a huge discussion. All this will do is make you second guess the ideas that you have that aren’t as grand. We are all struggling through 2020 together and your readers aren’t going to like you any less if your content isn’t up to your usual standards. I promise, we all get it. ❤

Find inspiration in small things:

Johnny and I have been pretty much confined to our small apartment since March. Of course, it’s difficult to come up with posts when we are no longer going here, there, and everywhere. However, this has taught me to find inspiration in all of the little things to write about.

Did you watch a great new series on Netflix? How was your Zoom game night with your friends? Did you wrap any holiday presents recently? I promise that your small victories, struggles, or hilarious mishaps are all post-worthy. Big or small, your readers want to know what you’re up to. Don’t be so hard on yourself!

Have FUN:

I know this sounds lame but writing should be fun so have a ball with it! I love writing to music and once I’m jamming and getting into a good groove, I feel like I can’t stop writing even if I want to. Being a blogger is as fun as you make it and that should be encouraged on your page.

Host a question and answer session. Try a holiday giveaway. Do a top ten countdown of your favorite posts. There are plenty of ways to get feel good vibes on your blog but it starts with you. Don’t get discouraged – just put on your favorite songs and see what you can come up with. 🙂

I have been asked countless times throughout the COVID pandemic how I am still writing every day and I tend to answer with a combination of the tips above. I can’t wait to see what all of you come up with on the blogosphere!

How do you find inspiration for your posts? What do you do when you have writer’s block? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Three Hobbies To Take Up In 2021

The year is slowly coming to an end, bringing with it a time for reflection and looking to the new year. If you are starting to think about some new hobbies to take up, there is no better time to do so. It could be that you have always wanted to learn to dive or that there is a budding artist in you just waiting to get out. No matter what it is, there are a plethora of new skills out there just waiting to be discovered. Have a think about what you want to do and then consider how you are going to do it. Is it a course that you can do online? Or do you have to travel to do it? Will you need any equipment like a camera? How much will it cost? These are all important things to consider. Here are three new habits that you can take up in 2021:

Horse riding:

Horse riding is a great hobby to take up. It has a whole host of benefits as well as being a ton of fun too! By riding a horse, you will soon find that your posture has improved and that your coordination and balance has got better. It is also a brilliant way to get close to the beautiful animals, and you can help out with everything from grooming them to training them if you wish. Once you have been riding for a while, you could take your horse riding up a level and enter competitions or showjumping. You can teach your horse to jump over hay bales and other obstacles and compete against others.

Can all horse riders learn how to jump? The answer is yes, and if you are a confident rider, you may even be able to join local competitions. Remember, however, professional jockeys are a completely different kettle of fish. That being said, if you feel inspired reading Freddie Vasquez Equestrian reviews, you could also start jump courses and see where this takes you. It can be a super fun activity as long as you feel confident. It may look easy but it is hard work for the rider too! In short, it can be a great way to get those thigh muscles working!

Photography:

When it comes to learning a new skill, photography is an exciting choice. Not only will you learn something new, but you can also get some photos printed out that you can put up on the wall. It is a great way to remember good times and memories, as well as get images of people and places that you love. There is always something new to experiment with in photography and you have the possibility of turning your hobby into a career.

Crocheting:

Crocheting is a valuable skill to have, and it is relatively easy to learn and cheap to do. Once you have bought the wool and needles, you have the tools to create a whole host of beautiful crochet items to wear and for your home. Whether you decide to make a blanket, cardigan, or a scarf, the options are endless. One of the best things about crocheting is that it can be done anywhere at any time, and you will soon find the number of items you can create getting bigger and bigger.

These are just a few ideas of hobbies to take up in 2021 that are sure to pique your interest. No matter if you start it and love it or do it for a few weeks and realize it’s not quite for you, the most important thing is that you have taken on a challenge, pushed yourself out of your comfort zone, and tried something new. Don’t be afraid to try something else if your first option doesn’t work out!

4 Steps To More Success: Helping Your Children Learn From Home

4 Steps To More Success: Helping Your Children Learn From Home

As a parent, tutoring is automatically an additional responsibility once your kids are school age. Whether you are helping with homework or teaching them how to do basic research, you are engaging in some form of tutoring. With the COVID-19 pandemic still a real threat, many parents have taken on tutoring their kids full-time to keep up with the schoolwork they may be missing. Other parents have decided to co-tutor with teachers online using the various available technologies. This is the best time for you to step up your game as a tutor so keep on reading for our tips to help you improve:

Incorporate technology:

Technology is driving education, and you must find ways to incorporate it into your teaching. Students of all ages now have access to at least a mobile phone or a laptop – even if it belongs to their parents. There are tons of apps out there that can help you to deliver any conceivable topic from history, science, math, and English tutoring, the choice is yours. You can use these apps for your professional development or you may be able to introduce these apps to your kids as a fun way to learn and explore the subject area.

Prior to teaching your child, you should hop on the computer yourself. You can’t expect your student to get a grasp on the information if you don’t! You can look up everything from teaching methods and lesson plans to American history books for high school. There are plenty of resources to help you in your new role of assisting in at home learning.

There are tons of apps out there that can help you to deliver any conceivable topic from history, science, math, and English tutoring, the choice is yours. For example, innovative educational tools like Age of Learning ride on the back of technology to deliver comprehensive and engaging content for kids no matter where they are. These helpful online resources provide a wealth of information you can use to support your child’s education at home. Indeed, technology has transformed the face of education, providing several benefits. If you are determined to provide the best learning tools, consider exploring beyond physical books and assignments.

Be adaptable:

No two students are the same, so you must be adaptable and quick to realize your child’s learning style. Find a method that he or she identifies with and use that to teach them to increase their participation. Some students prefer to know the subject matter and prepare before the actual class. Others learn best when the teaching is interlaced with some activities that improve their retention. Another thing to improve upon is speaking in terms that will be understood and always encouraging questions when things aren’t clear.

Be patient:

Patience is key to understanding your child and finding ways to make learning easier and more fun for them. While some students are quick to understand certain concepts, others are not. Do not get flustered or impatient. Instead, take your time to explain and break down the idea so that they can grasp it. Other students have problems with retention, and this is quite common. If you do have a student that struggles with information retention, employ the use of memory retention techniques such as mind maps and acronyms, which can be helpful in such a situation.

Remember that at home learning is new for both yourself and your children. Take some time during the day for much needed breaks if you find your patience wearing thin. Break up the day with a snack, free time so your child can read some educational books for teens, or cell phone time to keep things running smoothly.

Seek your child’s feedback:

If your child is struggling, ask for their feedback on what you can do to make things easier. It could be that he or she is not learning in a style that best suits them. Ask them how they feel about your teaching style or approach to a topic when you are helping with homework. You can also ask them how you can make the lessons more exciting or beneficial to them. This will help you improve your teaching methods while giving your kids the opportunity to voice their feelings and have a hands on experience with their education.

The Best & Easiest Ways To Go Green In 2021

The Best & Easiest Ways To Go Green In 2021

The challenges faced in 2020 have given us all a new sense of perspective. As such, living a more eco-friendly lifestyle is likely to be one of the most common New Year’s Resolutions in 2021. Even if it’s not your main target for the year, you will probably want to implement change. The first step to success is to build a winning strategy.

Going green should be convenient and deliver noticeable benefits. Otherwise, you will struggle to find the motivation needed to maintain the improvements. Focus on the following ideas, and you can’t go wrong:

Become a green homeowner:

Given that you will spend more time at home than any other location, it makes sense to start the process here. Renewal by Andersen window replacement services can combat the threat of wasted heat energy. When added to the fact that this will boost the property value, you cannot ignore the benefits.

Further improvements can be made by adding efficient appliances to reduce water waste as well as learning to switch items off. Adding Smart tech to control various aspects of the property will allow you to stay on top of the situation in the immediate and long-term future. Better still, the positive moves should boost your financial health in the long run. Perfect.

Become a green beautician:

Unlocking a better appearance is a goal shared by millions. While plenty of lifestyle changes can be implemented to boost your look, we all need a little help to achieve the best results. My guide to eco-friendly beauty will put you on the path to success. It’s great for your health, looks, and environment.

Eco-friendly products and habits will spark improvements on a daily basis. Meanwhile, your choice of salon or spa for professional care can take the rewards to another level. Alongside beauty, you should also consider fashion choices. Backing brands that manufacture goods in a sustainable way will give you an extra source of smiles. The indirect impact on your carbon footprint is huge.

Become a green socialite:

In addition to personal upgrades, your desire to lead a greener lifestyle can actively influence your friends and family. It is undoubtedly the best way to maximize the impact of your efforts, as well as the sense of satisfaction. Transparent discussions with those people will create a stronger message.

However, the key is to lead by example. This is something you can think about when planning your next vacation. Meanwhile, simply creating less waste in daily leisure activities can work wonders. With a little creativity, you can repurpose old clothes into unique fashion pieces. Living an eco-friendly lifestyle needn’t cause an impact on your sense of style and general aura. In fact, it could make you look better than ever.

Green living and healthy living are very closely linked. Southern Living’s easy Crock Pot recipes offer a great starting point. The stats show that food waste is one of the worst sources of environmental damage. Cooking and freezing extra portions reduces the threats while also saving valuable time.

Nutrition is one aspect, but you must also consider physical exercise. Running and cycling are among the best cardio aspects while free weights are ideal. Sure, you may still use machinery from time to time, but the use of electricity is unnecessary energy consumption. Travel to the gym or fitness club could increase your carbon footprint. Healthy lifestyles are great, but conscious decisions bring even better rewards.

greenn2

Become a green driver:

We make hundreds of decisions that impact our output each day. But some are more significant than others. Driving is the biggest cause of emissions by most. Switching to electric vehicles or hybrid cars will quickly reduce the damage you cause. If you drive a lot, it’s the single greatest upgrade you’ll make.

The right choice of vehicle is the biggest step towards greener driving by far. Still, you can support the process further by embracing new habits behind the wheel. Combining multiple journeys into one, organizing a car pool, and improving your usage of the brakes are all key steps.

If you genuinely have the motivation to lead a greener lifestyle, 2021 is the perfect time to make it happen. Now that you know how, there’s no excuse to ignore the process any longer. Ease yourself into the process throughout December, and you’ll never look back!

Equipment You Will Need To Start Your Restaurant

Equipment You Will Need To Start Your Restaurant

If you’ve dreamed of opening a restaurant, you know it will take lots of preparation. As you work to carve your niche in the local selection of eateries, you want to know what kinds of things you need to have to be successful. Here are some of the most important types of restaurant equipment you will need:

Equipment for cooking:

No matter what you are making, you likely need all kinds of kitchen tools and gadgets to help you whip it all together. You may need an industrial mixer or blender if you are starting a bakery and need a way to mix the ingredients for your dough. If a restaurant is your business venture, you could get away with a light duty mixer for sauces and soups. You will likely need pots, pans, spoons, whisks, bowls, the list goes on. Be sure to get enough so you don’t have to wash your equipment between each batch before you can start the next one in case you are extra busy.

Making Beverages:

Your restaurant is going to need to have drinks to serve to compliment all of your tasty dishes. This can include alcohol, soda, caffeinated beverages, and smoothies. Your equipment will need to include blenders, soda fountains, and ice machines. If your main selling point is your coffee drinks, you might want to look into options like a bean to cup coffee machines sale to find an excellent machine that won’t break the bank. These systems grind fresh beans and brew automatically, offering the convenience and quality that busy restaurants need. Any time you are purchasing new equipment, it’s always a good idea to do your research and seek recommendations first so you can get the best use out of your investment.

Indeed, coffee drinks as well as specialty teas can be a huge selling point for your restaurant as it encourages people to spend more for something to sip on. It is becoming an increasingly popular trend for restaurants to offer a wide variety of cups of caffeinated delight! Wholesale options for coffee shop supplies are certainly worth looking into so you can keep your ingredients well stocked at a better price. You might also be able to save more money through auto orders too.

Refrigerator or freezer:

If you are preparing food, you will want to keep many of the raw ingredients cold or frozen until you are ready to prepare them. If you are starting a large establishment, you will want walk-in freezers and fridges. Be certain to look at all of your options, especially if you are purchasing an existing restaurant and making some changes. Adding new and better cooling equipment may be necessary.

Furniture:

The furniture of your restaurant all depends on the establishment and what kind of food is being sold. Laid back diners or places for a quick bite could certainly get away with quality fast food furniture including simple chairs, tables, and stools. High end dining, on the other hand, demands rich fabrics, leather, and ultimate comfort to satisfy guests who stay for longer durations.

Stove or oven:

You may need an industrial stove top, convection ovens, or perhaps a brick oven if you are starting a pizza place. Be sure to think through the kinds of equipment you need to cook your masterpieces properly.

Basic equipment:

You need to have plenty of tables or counters, a dishwasher, and one or more sinks. Don’t forget about storage containers and lids, flatware, and serving ware. The list is nearly endless so be thorough when you’re checking through your equipment for things you may have missed.

Starting a restaurant is going to take work and dedication, but with careful planning, you will soon be serving your signature dish to your favorite customers!

Protecting Your Dogs In Winter Weather

Standard
Protecting Your Dogs In Winter Weather

When winter comes around, every good pet owner will want to make sure their pooch is happy and safe. We can put on layers, while they cannot. We can avoid puddles and slippery ice on the sidewalk, just by knowing what would entail if we stood in them. Dogs don’t seem to realize their paws will get stuck to the ice and this can be incredibly dangerous and painful. Not to mention, they tend to bring in half the snowfall, as they come inside our homes from walks. We can help our dogs remain safe, not lose our minds with all of the cleanup duties, and enjoy winter together as good pet owners:

Frostbite danger:

Many people will still try to take their restless dog outside in the cold for his morning and evening walks. However, no matter what kind of dog you have, always make him or her wear some shoes. In the wild, dogs are not just roaming around in the cold. They avoid harsh conditions but we have domesticated dogs that want to stick to a routine and need to be outside at a particular time of day. That’s fine, but dogs will start to shiver and their paws become numb if they have prolonged contact with the frozen pavement. So make sure that they are wearing winter shoes or they might suffer from frostbite which is extremely painful.

He wants to snuggle:

If your pup isn’t allowed on the furniture, give him an elevated bed so it’s not touching the cold floor. If your dog’s bed is on tiles or hardwood floors, then it will lose warmth. But if you keep it off the ground this won’t be an issue. Nevertheless, give your dog an extra blanket or a thicker blanket for the winter. It is equally as important to move the dog’s bed away from draft-prone areas such as close to windows and doors.

Messy paw prints:

When your dog has been outside in the garden to do his business, he will have muddy paws. You can bet that during winter, in the rain and melting ice, the garden will become a muddy mess and that mess will be brought inside. Your furry friend doesn’t know any better, but thanks to a good reliable carpet cleaning service you won’t need to stay upset for too long. The paw prints won’t be permanent and your nice area rug won’t be scarred for life. They use a special patented Hot Carbonating Extraction service which does a very hot deep cleansing clean of any carpet. The carbonation doesn’t harm the carpet fibers and they don’t need to use any undue pressure to get the mud and muck out.

A need for more:

Just like you, during the winter your dog is going to want more food. It’s natural, as we need more energy to shiver, keep warm, and regulate our metabolism during winter. However, do not use this as your only method of helping your dog get through winter. Although he might beg for more food, you should be wary of feeding him too much. Instead, you should only add an extra 10-15% calories more than he would normally have. Give him a jumper or inside top to wear and this way he will not need to burn as many calories to stay warm.

Brush his paws:

If you go for walks on the pavement instead of on the grass in the park, then beware of grit salt getting stuck in between his paws. This can lead to the skin splitting and becoming raw if left alone. Just use a simple toothbrush to wipe your dog’s paws clean as he gets inside. It will make sure little pieces of grit do not remain lodged in your dog’s paws. Again, as we have recommended earlier, just buy him some winter shoes and all of this will be avoided.

Your dog is counting on you to stick to his routine so he doesn’t feel anxious and become restless. But he also needs protection from the icy gritty pavement. These are just some of the things you can do to keep your pet safer this winter.

Picking The Perfect Pet For Your Family

Standard
Picking The Perfect Pet For Your Family

Animals are an amazing addition to your life. They offer companionship and give you a reason to be more active. There are many different pets you can add to your family like a cat, dog, fish, hamster, bird, or guinea pig. The important thing is to make an informed decision, so you end up with a good fit for your family:

Narrow it down:

Before you start looking at pets, you need to ask yourself some questions to try to narrow down your search for the perfect pet. You need to think about your lifestyle and how a pet will fit into it. If you are not at home very often, then you shouldn’t get a dog that will need a lot of attention and walks every day.

You should also consider your personality. If you are extroverted, then a dog may be a good fit because they tend to be extroverted, as well. Quieter personalities may prefer the companionship of a cat, hamster, or reptile. You should also consider if you have any allergies that pet dander will make worse. If you do have pet allergies, then you may want to welcome a reptile or amphibian into your home. You can go here for more information.

Always keep in mind where you live and the level of care that you are capable of providing. If you live in an apartment, then you will want an animal that can thrive without a lot of space. If you are not able to take a dog on regular walks or change a cage often, then you need to consider that in your decision.

Dogs:

If you think a dog will be a good fit for your family, then you need to think about the breed that would be best. Some dogs are much higher energy than others so it is important to find a dog that is the best fit for your expectations. If you have small children, you want to make sure that the kind of dog you get will coexist happily with them.

According to Devin Harris Joplin, MO, Great Danes are the perfect family pet because they have a gentle nature, love children, and don’t need much exercise. They can be calm inside while still having enough energy to play in the yard or go for a walk when you want them to. Consider other breeds as well, like retrievers, schnauzers, and bulldogs, that also make great family pets.

Cats:

Cats are great low-maintenance pets once they are fully grown. If you want a cat that is a little more affectionate, then you need to consider the breeds when you are searching for the right fit. Long hair cats may also be a little higher maintenance to keep groomed and clean up after.

Birds:

Some types of birds are better suited for human companionship than others, so be sure to do your research before finding a bird to have as a pet. Different kinds of birds will all prove to be extremely different for handling, teaching to talk, or performing tricks.

Fish:

Fish have the lowest care needs of any of the pets, so they are ideal for people who want minimal effort. They do not provide any affection or tricks, but they do provide some companionship and beautify any space. Be sure that you understand the needs of the kind of fish you get to make sure it is comfortable and safe in the tank.

Pets will make a wonderful addition to any home but they are a huge responsibility. Consider the care you are able to best provide before making any decisions!

How To Enjoy A Calm Winter

Standard
How To Enjoy A Calm Winter

Winter is well and truly on its way. In fact, it’s pretty much here. And with what’s going on in the world right now, you may find that you really don’t want to be spending too much time on anything that’s strenuous or that takes your energy away. And if that’s the case, you will be reaping as many of the benefits that a winter hibernation can offer you. At this time of the year, we don’t always want to spend too much outside or on hard activities. Instead, we want to be able to slow down and make sure that we can get through to spring feeling fantastic. To help you to do that, you may find that the ideas below will inspire you:

Before shifting into hibernation mode, is everything on your winter checklist tended to? Garden furniture put away? Winter tires installed? Has an inspection of your heating system been completed? As the temperatures drop it is so important to get your HVAC or boiler system inspected to ensure it is in working order for the season. A company like https://heatsafeheatingltd.co.uk/ (or something similar in your local area) can inspect your boilers and repair any issues to keep your home warm and cozy all winter long. All that will be left to do is relax!

To start with, one of the best things that you can do here is to make sure that you’re letting yourself switch off as much as possible. If you’re always on the go or your mind is always racing, your time won’t be calm. So try to switch off from work or the online world for a little bit if you can.

From here, you might want to try and think about keeping your distance from negativity. This may seem like a strange thing to add in as a winter practice, however, it can be really beneficial for your mind. If you know that you have a lot of toxic people in your life as you’re choosing to enjoy a few calming months, it’s good to try and keep them at arm’s length. That way, you know that your tranquillity won’t be threatened.

The next thing that you might want to do is make sure that you are welcoming more calming practices into your life. You may find that you are able to feel a lot calmer throughout the colder months when you actively look to make this happen. Maybe you want to read instead of watch TV? Turn to something like Bloom Farms CBD instead of alcohol? Or quiet games nights with family rather than something rowdier? It all helps.

Treat yourself better:

Even if you think you already do this, you may not be treating yourself as well as you’d think. Are you resting? Are you looking after your body? Are you prioritizing your needs? If not, then you’re going to want to make sure that you change this. You’ll find it helps you to be a lot calmer and feel much better about yourself.

Enjoy the downtime:

Finally, you may find that it’s actually really nice for you to just enjoy more of the downtime. Winter isn’t always as fun, busy, and outgoing as summer – and it needn’t be. With winter comes the cold and dark and it’s not always the time of year that you want to be active. So just let yourself enjoy the calm and the slower pace. Do less. Relax. Be slow. Lap up all of the things you can do in hibernation before a glorious springtime comes back once again.

Ready, set, relax with the tips above and have a calm and safe winter!
