Why Is Building A Strong Brand Important?

When it comes to branding, there are quite a few reasons why it makes sense to devote resources toward a strong portrayal of operations. Good branding will make your business more profitable, collaterally remunerating you for the cost of implementation. The following are five considerable points that can help put this reality into perspective:

  • Reputation Expansion
  • Investment
  • Conversion
  • Employee Satisfaction
  • Advertisement Stimulation

Reputation Expansion Is Facilitated Via Brand:

When you’ve got a strong brand, that’s going to give you a strong reputation. Think of common brands that you’re familiar with presently. Starbucks. McDonald’s. Nike. Apple. Windows. Google. Amazon. Each of these companies has a solid brand with recognizable logos, slogans, marketing, and products. They have solid reputations.

Your brand can be a “name-brand”, or a “household name” in terms of reputation with the right marketing, PR, and service delivery over time. Design a solid brand that is recognizable, likable, and dependable. This is one of the best ways to build reliable reputation.

A Good Brand Is More Likely To Be Invested In:

Investors are trying to grow their money. If your brand is fledgling and unknown, that doesn’t inspire confidence. You’re a lot less likely to acquire the investment you desire. One solid investor can totally overcome the cost of appropriate branding, so allocate resources toward the deliberate establishment of your brand.

Strong Brands Convert More New Customers:

When you’re a highly visible, reputed, strong brand with investors, you’re likely to convert more new customers. They will have heard about your brand beforehand, and sometimes will simply be visiting you to see if what they’ve heard is true. A strong brand acts in a marketing capacity.

Employees Are More Satisfied With A Trusted Brand:

When you’ve got a solid brand, those working for your company are more likely to have a respectful attitude, and consider themselves lucky to be a part of your enterprise. A solid brand actually inspires employees to deliver better work, and to themselves be more dependable. A weak brand is much less likely to inspire that kind of confidence.

Branding Stimulates Advertising:

The right kind of brand will act like an advertisement lightning rod, if you will. This is because successful branding has a definite PR/marketing element to it. You’ve got to attend social events, you’ve got to design materials with your logo and slogan prominently portrayed thereon, and you’ve got to push yourself across the worldwide web.

There are a great deal of diverse techniques characterizing today’s marketing world, and though the web, and particularly social media, is one of the best ways to advertise. However, there’s still a lot to be said for things like merchandise, baubles, trinkets; you get the idea.

If you’ve got your logo and slogan printed on a variety of free merchandise, this can organically help to spread your brand. Certainly you want to build your brand’s online reputation as securely as you build its non-digital persona; but there are things worth doing which affect the real world, and can also be quite lucrative for your business.

There are more options than you might expect out there in the mainstream, and you can even acquire branded marketing goods from non-traditional providers — the Teehive prints your logo on tablecloths, for example; as the site says: “Whether you have a design ready, an idea in mind, or have absolutely no clue what you are envisioning for your custom merchandise[,] our expert designers are here to help you every step of the way.”

A Strong Brand:

The stronger your brand, the more visible it will be. Provided your operation runs with the requisite integrity, professionalism, and output, you’re likely to see your brand attain the strength it needs to survive in a complex, transitioning, unpredictable business environment.

What It Takes To Take The Perfect Instagram Photo

What It Takes To Take The Perfect Instagram Photo

If you’re all about spreading the love online and sharing your lifestyle with carefully chosen friends and followers, it’s likely that you’ve been trying to launch your Instagram profile already. Instagram offers a new perspective on social media content, as it’s a purely visual platform. In other words, it’s you’ve got something to share, show it instead of writing it. For anybody who believes that a picture can speak a thousand words, it’s the ideal place to build up a successful presence. Here are some tips on how to make that possible:

Social media is a platform of inspiration:

The main obstacle that you’re going to face when trying to develop your Instagram presence is yourself. Indeed, there is a constant and valuable discussion on whether social media enhances or hinders your life. The truth is somewhere in between. An engaging Instagram presence can be a form of lifestyle motivation or inspiration if the profile displays quality photos. However, you need to stay focused on your message and not lose yourself in the depth of a connection string or confuse a number of followers with your personal value.

Be patient and build a stunning feed:

Once you’ve got your head around the philosophical debate about social media and social value, it’s crucial to build your feed. Unless you’re especially lucky, you won’t gather a lot of attention with your first picture. Therefore you need to build your feed with 15 to 20 of your best images first. If you’re looking for a stunning visual, you may want to check this backdrop store to find the perfect backdrop for your portraits and fashion snaps. There’s nothing better to give your photos a professional finish. You will need to create a comfortable posting schedule, either weekly or twice a week, to accumulate visuals and build up a presence.

Embrace new stylish trends:

Instagram is a world of images. What this means is that only the best and most stylish images can get noticed. Don’t waste any more time and learn about the latest photo trends to create dazzling portraits. The color palette for this year gravitates around rosy, peachy, and golden tones, so make sure to update your makeup and wardrobe to create on-trend photos. If you work with a camera instead of a smartphone, you can be playful with the light presence to create a delicate mood around the main character.

Oh snap!

Don’t click and post:

Finally, a winning Instagram presence is not measured by the number of photos you share, but by their quality. Take the time to develop your style and to find an angle you like. If, like Tilly and the Buttons, you prefer pastel colors, you need to create a decor that will reflect your palette. This can take a lot of time but, ultimately only the most stunning images get noticed. So it’s worth working on your visual personality before posting!

Becoming an Instagram sensation doesn’t happen overnight. Thankfully, it’s a fun process that enables you to define and perfect your online brand and style. You are what they see, so make every flash count!

Fitting Self-Improvement Into A Hectic Lifestyle

Fitting Self-Improvement Into A Hectic Lifestyle

The new year provides us with the opportunity for a new start. This is perhaps why so many of us make vows and resolutions to change and become better people. We get to start a completely clean page of our diaries and calendars, moving on from the past events of the previous year and heading into a brighter future. But if, like many of us, you have a relatively hectic and chaotic day to day routine, how are you supposed to fit grand ventures of self-improvement into the equation? Well, the good news is that with a little organization and forward thinking, the world is your oyster and endless opportunities abound! Here are just a few ways to become a more rounded being without throwing your already busy lifestyle into disarray:

Education:

Increasing numbers of people are returning to education at a later point in their lives. There are various reasons for this. Perhaps they want to boost their resume. Maybe they want to explore subject areas that they don’t have much previous experience in. They might even want to specialize their existing knowledge. Regardless of the reason, a return to education doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to commute to campuses, sit in extensive lectures, or attend group seminars. The increasing efficiency of the internet means that you can now engage in distance learning, AKA taking courses online. Take online msc in international accounting and finance, as an example. This course offers everything that a standard degree course would, but you can complete it from the comfort of your own home. This allows you to schedule your education around your existing responsibilities. Perfect!

 Study up!

Exercise:

While it may seem like you’re run off your feet all day, chances are that you haven’t managed to schedule a proper workout for a little while. Though an exercise class at the gym or a quick circuit of the machines may only take half an hour or so, showering and changing afterwards and the commute back and forth to the gym itself can mean that you’re out of the house for hours at a time. Instead, why not try to exercise at home?

This means that you don’t have to spend time getting to the gym and you can work out before you’d usually shower in the morning or go to bed at night. While you may not have the same equipment or professional trainers at hand, there are several things you can do to ensure that you get your heart beating and energy flowing. Consider exercise apps with tutorials in yoga and Pilates, squats, planks, push ups, and sit ups. They will monitor your progress and give you a basic understanding of how to achieve certain positions or poses all straight from your phone.

While education and exercise are just two methods of self-improvement, you can see that they can easily be incorporated into already busy lifestyles. Take the same reasoning and thinking to whatever it may be that you want to improve about yourself. You will see positive changes taking place in next to no time!

Monday Update: Early Holiday Shopping Edition

Monday Update: Early Holiday Shopping Edition

Hi everyone and happy Monday! I hope that all of you had a fabulous weekend. One thing that Lil Red loves almost as much as shopping for herself, is shopping for other people. I live for birthdays, anniversaries, and Christmas so that I can spoil my friends and family rotten with well thought out presents. I revel in making my holiday shopping list, mulling over the hobbies and favorite things of my loved ones, and coming up with the perfect presents under the tree for each of them.

Even though it is a bit early to start holiday shopping, I am pretty happy to have knocked out a solid chunk of gift buying this month. It was admittedly hard to spend the extra dough, especially because of my New York trip, BUT I was going to be buying the presents anyways so I figured that I would start getting it over with now. And since my preferred method for present shopping is doing it online, the earlier the better, in case any of the gifts are broken, take long to ship, etc.

Amazon has always been a godsend when it comes to gift giving occasions for me. What I usually do is buy a majority of my presents from there and then go to the mall (Yikes!), TJMaxx, or Target for the rest of the random odds and ends. Quite a few of my purchases have already arrived to chez moi, and I have to say that Amazon has really stepped up their shipping game. All of my packages arrived in about three days and all of the contents seemed to be handled and packed really well. When I opened the boxes and saw a solid amount of packing foam, I was confident that all of the items were going to be in one piece and ready to be given as a gift. And they were.

I’ve only had a handful of bad experiences while shopping on Amazon in the years that I’ve been a customer of theirs. But the success of my recent early bout of holiday shopping has made me feel safe in my decision to leave a majority of my purchasing in Amazon’s hands, once again. I’m glad to have gotten a head start on my Christmas shopping and am looking forward to checking off the rest of my list in November!

So there you have it, this week’s Monday Update: Early Holiday Shopping Edition! Who is done with their Christmas shopping already? Who is a last minute gift buyer? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Education You Might Not Have Considered

Education You Might Not Have Considered

It’s a competitive world out there and even if you’re more than qualified for the position that you’re interviewing for, you can lose out to someone equally qualified who has that little bit extra. No matter how old you are, it never hurts to learn new skills or earn new qualifications to boost your career. You don’t have to quit your job and go back to school full time to get a Masters. Nowadays, there is more than one way to develop desirable skills to revamp your resume:

Short Courses/Workshops: If you’re not too sure that you’re ready to get back into learning right away, you can test the waters by checking out short courses or one-day workshops. Short courses may cover any area from soft skills such as communication and leadership to industry-specific skills like accounting, web design, or photography – so you’re guaranteed to find something that will be useful for your career. If you’re not sure which courses might be useful for your current job, then you can still learn something by taking a short cooking course or signing up for a series of yoga classes to better understand the teachings.

Online Education: Some of the most prestigious universities in the world now offer college courses through the Internet to anyone who wants to take them. Additionally, you’re more likely to find a specialized qualification such as lean manufacturing courses online than you are through your local college class listings. Not only do online courses save you on the cost of commuting, but they give you far more options.

Volunteer: Taking time out of your busy schedule to help others can boost your career for several reasons. First, volunteering gets you out of your comfort zone and teaches you how to communicate with empathy. Second, it gives you valuable experience in a field that you hope to enter, which will make it easier for you to gain experience or a full-time job in the future. Finally, it shows potential employers that you are willing to go beyond what is required of you and that you are passionate enough to go for what you want in your own time.

Enroll in Your Community College: You need a certain motivation to complete online courses or learn skills in your spare time. If you feel that you could do better in a more structured environment, you can take a course at your local college for a term or even go for a full degree if you are ready to commit to it. Any credits that you earn at the end will have real value when hunting for jobs or eventually pursuing your formal education even further.

Group Language Clubs: Knowing a second language is invaluable in any job, but some people might not do well learning by themselves with an app. You should try finding a club that meets in your area and practice with a real teacher and other hopeful learners. Even a basic understanding of another language is better than nothing!

Ready, get set, and learn yourself to the finish line of a better job or further in your education!

5 Important Considerations Before You Sign Up For That Online Course

5 Important Considerations Before You Sign Up For That Online Course

Are you thinking of signing up for an online course? Maybe you have your eye on one already, or you just think that this would be a good option for you instead of going to night school or taking a part time course. Online courses can be a brilliant option for certain people, but they aren’t right for everybody. Here are 5 important considerations you need to make before you sign up:

Will You Get Support?

You don’t want to sign up for an online course only to be left completely in the lurch when it comes to asking questions. You don’t necessarily need direct contact with the person who created the course. A simple forum, speaking with other students could be a great way to clear up any confusion that you have about the work ahead of you. In some cases, you may get direct support with the course creator to ensure that you get the most out of the course. Make sure that you know what the support is like before you sign up.

Do You Get A Real Qualification?

Some online courses can give you great information, but you don’t actually get a real qualification at the end of it. Consider whether you need a real qualification. If it isn’t important, then it won’t matter so much. However, if it is, you need to make sure that the qualification is legitimate and that you can do something with it afterwards. Doing an online hospitality degree is a popular option, as you get a real qualification once the course is over.

Will This Bring Value That You Can’t Find Elsewhere Online?

The internet is vast and full of resources that just about anybody can use to learn to do anything. Some resources are more in depth than others. Once you’ve found a course, you need to consider whether this will bring value that you can’t find elsewhere online. For instance, if you want to learn how to build websites, this isn’t information you necessarily need to pay for. You can learn this using YouYube videos and other resources, and by practicing yourself. It’s not something that you need a qualification for to be good at, although you will need to make sure you’re good at it to make money from it!

How Well Do You Learn In Your Own Time?

Some people just aren’t good at learning in their own time. They like to watch TV, read a book, relax…they just can’t find the time to sit down and do the course they’ve bought. If they have the course forever, it often gets put off until they realize that they bought it years ago. If you’re a person who can motivate yourself, then this could be a great option. If not, you may be better off signing up for a night course!

Is It Good Value For Money?

Courses can vary wildly in price all over the internet. A cheap course doesn’t mean it’s bad and an expensive course doesn’t mean it’s good. You need to be sure you’re getting value for money, whatever your budget is!

Ready, get set, learn…online!

How Much Money Can You Really Make In Your Spare Time?

Standard
How Much Money Can You Really Make In Your Spare Time?

It is only the very privileged few among us who are able to say that they are happy with their income. For most of us, we can be happy enough – but that doesn’t mean that we wouldn’t accept an additional boost or two if it were to come along. As a result, the industry for providing people with a means of making money “in their spare time” is a booming one. It always has been, to an extent, with catalog sales and the ability to sell products to friends and family. However, there is no doubt that this is an industry that has found its home amidst the wild west of the internet.

Have a quick browse for money making ideas online and your first impression will probably be sheer horror. How can you possibly figure out which one of these is going to work for you? The methods may vary, but many of the options are versions of the same thing. Sites offer points for simple tasks such as completing surveys, watching videos, or playing games. When these points (different sites may call their ‘points’ different names) accrue to a certain level, then you can redeem them for either gift card vouchers or money.

Upon viewing the sums available, a lot of people will wonder if it’s worth it. So maybe it’s time to examine this closer and see if it’s a viable way of bringing in extra cash for you – by examining the pros and cons. Because who doesn’t love a good pros and cons list?!

PRO: You Can Do It When You Want, For As Long As You Want

There’s no boss, there’s no management, there’s no scheduled hours that you have to be present for. You have got complete control of what you do and when you do it. If you don’t need as much extra cash one month, you can give yourself the month off. If you need more, then you can knuckle down that little bit harder. The flexibility makes these sites incredibly attractive.

CON: You Have To Control Your Expectations

The key to making money from these sites is, according to this review, managing your expectations. Don’t think that you’re going to be able to quit your job and work from home in your pajamas all day – it’s not going to happen. You have to have a robust grip on what’s happening and how much money you’re going to earn, or you could find yourself bitterly disappointed. Super bitterly disappointed. Ugh, I love that word.

PRO: You Don’t Have To Qualify

If you wanted to, you could head on over to your computer and start working right now. There’s no interview, no qualification process, nothing of that nature at all. In fact, just being you is all that’s required, especially when it comes to filling out surveys about your opinions.

Taking a survey, perhaps?

CON: The Returns May Not Be Worth It

If you calculate the amount of time you spend on these sites and then factor in your hourly rate, it might not be pleasant reading…Seriously, I have spent a half hour doing a survey that claims to take ten minutes and received a meager fifty cents from it. It was a BITTER disappointment!!

PRO: It’s (Almost) Passive Income

However, you can keep in mind that these tasks can be done while you’re occupied with something else. For sites that allow you to earn points from watching videos, you can just play the videos in the background while you are making your evening meal. The surveys may take more attention, but you can do them from your phone while you’re waiting for the bus. Being able to pick and choose when you participate can be really helpful.

CON: Sites Can Shut Down Unexpectedly

Let’s say you join a site and accrue a huge amount of points. You’re waiting to reach a certain cash out threshold, which will allow you to obtain a voucher to a certain financial value. This is a dangerous way of doing it. These sites don’t owe you anything; if they suddenly fold or go offline, then all of your hard-earned points are going to vanish with them. There’s not a chance that you’ll get them back.

So, be safe and smart with how you use your points. Cash out as soon as you meet the minimum payment threshold, even if you’d get more for your points by hanging on to reach a higher voucher target. It’s better to actually have the money in your hand than relying on the site to keep it safe for you!

PRO: The “Big” Sites Are Well Established, With Users You Can Talk To

If you’re confused about anything that you find regarding the website, you can talk to other users. Most sites will have some kind of forum system or their social media pages will allow users to connect with one another. And, more often than not, there will be someone to explain things further on any questions that you might have.

So online money making websites might not be the best way to earn some extra cash BUT if you control your expectations and manage your time wisely, you could end up with some gift cards and money for the movies in your pocket!
