How To Increase Your Body Confidence This Year

Feeling confident in your own skin is something that we all deserve to experience, yet so many of us don’t. If you know that you’d really like to take control of your body confidence this year, it’s time to do something about it! Here’s how to get started:

When you’re done with feeling down and you know you want to feel more confident, the best way to start is by making sure that you’re kind to yourself. It’s counterintuitive to want to feel more confident, yet constantly be self-deprecating. When you aim to make a big change in life, it can feel overwhelming, and you can resist it. Start off small, be kind to yourself mentally and physically, and let yourself embrace the change as it comes.

The next thing for you to focus on is movement. This isn’t to change your body type unless it’s something that you want to do. The whole idea here is that exercise is going to bring you endorphins, and they’re going to make you feel good. Alongside that, as you start to gain more energy and you build more muscle in your body, it’s going to make you feel much more confident in your own skin. What’s not to love about that?

If you do have insecurities, it’s important to make sure that you’re tackling them rather than letting yourself worry about parts of your body that you don’t like. Looking to change them or transform them can make a difference. For example, if you’ve spent years trying to lose stubborn belly fat and it’s not shifting, opting for a tummy tuck could be the perfect thing for you. Turning to surgery used to be such a taboo topic but there is absolutely no shame in it. You can learn to love your insecurities, but sometimes changing them is exactly what you need. If you are opting for surgery, more power to you! Just be sure you are going to an excellent surgeon that comes highly recommended with completely satisfied patients. To begin researching a good fit for you, simply enter a search for “Plastic Surgeon in Brentwood, Los Angeles” (or your local area). You might want to schedule a few different consultations so you can find the surgeon that you are most comfortable working with.

One really easy trick to make sure that you feel more body confident is to make sure that you’re dressing for your body shape. It’s easy to look at the different trends and want to adopt them, but if they don’t work for your figure, you may not feel good. Instead, when you focus on wearing clothes that work with your body shape and make you feel more confident, it’s going to really impact how you feel on a daily basis.

Ultimately, it’s all about empowering yourself. This is something that you need to curate and you need to drive. When you feel more empowered, you naturally feel more confident. It’s not just about working on the way that you look, it’s working on your mind too. Adopting a more positive, self-supportive, and encouraging mindset is the best gift you can give yourself. When you start to speak to yourself better and treat yourself better, you’ll feel a lot more empowered. Empowerment is a state of being that can create more confidence, and it is exactly what you need this year.

Boosting your confidence is all about talking the talk and walking the walk too. Set small goals to start with and you will keep feeling better and better!

The Everyday Mistakes That Are Damaging Your Skin

The Everyday Mistakes That Are Damaging Your Skin

Everyone wants radiant, healthy skin. But sometimes there are barriers in the way of achieving the glow you want or are working towards, and no matter what you do, your efforts aren’t rewarded with the results you want. Chances are, you’re making mistakes that are hampering your progress, stopping you from achieving that fresh-faced look. Let’s look at a few of the most common mistakes so you can step up your skin care game even more:

Nothing beats that fresh, clean skin feel, but cleansing too often or using too harsh a cleanser for your skin can strip it of its oils and can upset the protective barrier. The result? Redness, irritation, and more breakouts and dry patches than you started with. The trick is to cleanse gently using an appropriate cleanser for your skin type once or twice per day.

Or not using it at all. And those UV rays that damage your skin? They’re present even on cloudy days, too, and in the winter. The damage can be done all year round, not just in the height of summer. Skipping sunscreen speeds up visible aging and increases your risk of skin cancer, too. Try adding a lightweight SPF 30 to your skincare routine for maximum protection benefits. You can also include skin care in your routine that offers SPF as well. There are countless beauty brands that include SPF in their formula for better protection so a new moisturizer or serum will not be hard to find! You might even want to explore brands like https://sajicskin.com as they have a SPF 50 sunscreen that offers protection from UVA/UVB to keep your skin safe, young, and healthy.

There is no quick fix for good skin. Good skin is the culmination of religious skincare routines that are consistent every single day. While those hydrating and glowing face masks can give you the moisture boost and healthy look you need before a night out, the effects will only be temporary. The same principles apply to co-harmonizing and harmonizing products. You need to find the right products for your skin and use them consistently to get the benefits and glowing skin you want.

The importance of using ingredients that will directly benefit your skin type cannot be understated. For example, a teenager using retinol products will experience dryness and irritation. A thirty something will benefit from enhanced elasticity. When you shop for skin care products on www.skindeepprofessional.com (or your favorite skin care brand), pay close attention to the ingredients listed and take note of the changes you see as you use it. If your skin has never looked better, you’re on the right path. If you notice irritation, discontinue use immediately.

Sidestepping visiting a dermatologist for skin concerns can end up making matters worse than they were. A dermatologist can enlighten you as to the health of your skin and what you need to do and products or ingredients you need to use to achieve the skin of your dreams. From here, you can implement the perfect skincare routine, choose appropriate products, and even discover skincare treatments that can boost your skin health, such as laser skin resurfacing or acne laser treatment.

Yes, what you put on your skin matters, but also how you live your life matters too. Dehydration, a poor diet, increased stress levels, and a lack of sleep all impact your skin. And before you know it, you’re showing the signs of your lifestyle habits in your skin. Drink plenty of water, eat a nutritious, balanced diet, prioritize sleep, and work on reducing stress levels to help you work on your skin from the inside out. If you’re not addressing the fundamentals of good health, even the best skincare products and routine in the world won’t have any impact.

Healthy skin isn’t about chasing perfection; it’s about avoiding the habits that damage your skin and hold you back. By focusing on the points above and removing everyday skincare mistakes in your life, you can start to reap the benefits of great skin!

Selecting The Perfect Wedding Ring

Selecting The Perfect Wedding Ring

Your wedding ring is one of the most meaningful pieces of jewelry you’ll ever own. It’s not just a symbol of love and commitment, but it’s also something that becomes part of your look every single day. This is why choosing the right wedding ring is so important. It doesn’t matter whether you’re drawn to something modern or something timeless. Your ring should reflect both your personal style as well as your relationship. But no matter what you pick, the ring you choose will play a special role in your life and here’s why finding the right one truly matters:

Unlike your wedding dress or your suit which is worn just for a day, your wedding ring is something you’re going to wear every single day. This makes it one of the most personal style choices you’ll ever make. Trends like baguette wedding bands offer a fresh take on tradition, combining vintage elegance with modern minimalism. They have geometric cuts and clean silhouettes which give them a contemporary edge while still feeling classic. Whether one solo or paired with an engagement ring, they add a touch of sparkle that feels subtle and yet intentional.

Beyond the aesthetics, your wedding ring holds deep emotional value. It’s a physical representation of your commitment and your love. Many couples choose designs or custom details that hold personal meaning, from engraved messaging to birthstones or unique settings. When you take the time to find the right ring together, it becomes so much more than just a piece of jewelry, but it becomes a symbol of the promises that you’ve made and the journey that you’re beginning together.

The perfect ring is not just about looks, it has to work for your lifestyle too. Your ring should be designed to fit seamlessly into your daily routine. You need to choose something that’s appealing as an active wearer. A ring that has a low profile setting and smooth, clean lines is not just beautiful, but it’s practical. This makes it a great option for those who want a bit of glamour without sacrificing their comfort.

Your wedding ring is likely going to be one of the few accessories that remains constant throughout your life. It’s with you during milestones, quiet moments, celebrations and challenges, and over time, it becomes enmeshed in your story. It’s worth investing the time and thought into choosing a ring that resonates with you, something you’ll love just as much in thirty years as you do right now.

No matter the type of wedding band that you pick, the right ring will be a reflection of your love, your style, and your life. Pick something with care, wear it with pride, and let it tell your story every day!

New Manna Tumbler

New Manna Tumbler

Howdy!! Once upon a time, I had a Stanley mug that my niece used for strawberry milk during one of our slumber parties. Johnny never washed said mug, it became riddled with mold, he threw it out, and that was the end of my Stanley experience. Since then, I have used many a different random tumblers I have to sip on water throughout the day and began using a Halloween mug exclusively. Whether at home or out and about, I had my mug in hand… Until I dropped it and it broke lol. I had been using the broken mug despite its cap no longer screwing on and it has been pretty annoying. Thankfully, I had a surprise TJMaxx shopping trip this past week and was able to replace my broken tumbler with this pretty little number:

On Tuesday, my mom and I decided to go on an impromptu TJs adventure during my break to spend some gift cards. Unfortunately, my sweet mom struck out but, as per ushe, I ended up with a haul. Lol, no surprise there! As we made our way throughout the store, we ended up in the home goods department and I thought that now would be a perfect time to snag a new tumbler. There were so many options to choose from and they even had Stanley mugs there. Of course, they were significantly more expensive than the other tumblers on the shelf and I wanted something on the cheaper end as my shopping cart was bursting at the seams!

A couple of tumblers caught my eye, but my new pastel pink and blue mug by Manna was the winner. It was huge, on clearance for twelve bucks, looked similar to a Stanley, and was just so cute! I love the colors and those little flowers at the bottom added a unique and adorable pop. As darling as the appearance of this mug is, the size was also a deciding factor. In the case of travel mugs, bigger is always better and I feel like I was refilling my old one constantly. This mug will also keep my water ice cold and that is exactly what I need. The temperatures here have skyrocketed into the nineties and your girl is dying lol. -_- This will definitely help keep me cool and hydrated this summer!

My fallen Stanley and broken Halloween mug have finally been replaced and it couldn’t have happened a moment too soon. Stay tuned for more from my haul and a surprise gift for the bunnies!

Do you have a favorite tumbler? What is your favorite thing to drink throughout the day? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Could Multigenerational Living Work For Your Family?

Standard
Could Multigenerational Living Work For Your Family?

For a long time, multigenerational living carried a bit of a stigma. People assumed you’d only move back in with family if something had gone wrong like a job had been lost or relationship ended. But now it’s more common to see grown up children living with their parents while saving for a home, and in many cases, ageing parents are moving in with adult children too (sometimes both).

What’s changed is the way families are doing it, it’s no longer just a temporary fix. It’s a setup that people are actually planning for, and in many cases, choosing. It usually starts with a practical reason like childcare, housing costs, or the price of care homes. But for some families, once the arrangement settles, it starts to work on other levels too. Grandparents and grandchildren spend more time together, meals are shared more often, and there’s always someone around. People begin to appreciate the overlap of different generations under one roof.

Not every home is built for this kind of life, and not every family dynamic suits it either. But the physical layout matters more than most people realize. It’s easier when there’s a bit of separation. Not necessarily an annex or separate floor (although that helps) but enough room for people to spend time apart. A spare bedroom can become a small sitting room, a garage converted makes more space. Even just having an extra bathroom can make things more manageable. The smallest change can take pressure off if it gives someone a bit more autonomy.

Multigenerational living really can improve the way life runs for everyone involved. From school pickups to dentist appointments, someone to keep an eye on the baby while the dinner’s on all become easier when you have a household with more people in. If you have an elderly family member who needs care, more people around to help with this can make things a lot easier for everyone. And you still have the option of using a home care agency too if you need extra help. It feels busier when you live with your multi generation family but it often works out to be more efficient too. There’s no need for constant favors or negotiations, it all just becomes part of life. That sense of support matters more than people expect, especially during the early years with small children or when someone’s health isn’t great.

There’s a balance to find with this kind of lifestyle and it doesn’t always go smoothly. Some families fall into old patterns, and it takes effort to reset those roles. Not everyone wants parenting advice from their own parents while they’re trying to raise kids of their own, and some older relatives struggle to let go of routines they’ve had for decades. But it tends to get easier when people talk openly about what’s bothering them before it builds up. It helps when there’s a clear understanding of what each person is responsible for. Not strict rules, just enough clarity so nobody feels walked over.

Multigenerational setups look different in every home. Some feel more communal, with shared meals and group outings. Others are quieter, with people mostly doing their own thing. Neither is right or wrong. What makes it work is usually a mix of space, patience, and a bit of flexibility. It’s not something everyone sets out to do, but for more families now, it’s becoming the option that feels most natural.

TikTok Talk

TikTok Talk

Hello!! As you all know, I am a word girl through and through. I have always preferred blogging as my main outlet which is why I was never particularly interested in incorporating video content too. However, after making a big life change, I had more free time on my hands, said “why not?”, and started my TikTok in mid March. This was not to take the place of my blog, but to enhance it with footage of OOTDs, bloopers, cooking, and whatever else strikes my fancy. After one day on the social media platform, I finally got what all the fuss is about because it is kind of fun!

I have no delusions of becoming a TikTok star, even though it would be awesome. I’m just proud of the fact that people are actually watching my content. Even if it was just one person, I would be proud because video content isn’t in my comfort zone and I decided to go for it anyways. And, I’ve got to say, after two months I feel pretty awesome about my amount of likes and almost ONE HUNDRED followers!

Slow and steady wins the race and even if my page’s progress isn’t astronomical, it’s there, and that’s good enough for me. And, as another old cliche goes, if you never try, you never know. While video content isn’t my forte, you don’t need to be Spielberg to create a video and post it on TikTok. Had I didn’t give it the old college try, I wouldn’t have realized how much fun it is to create in a new medium. Whether you’re thinking about starting a blog, going to the gym, growing a garden, or making a profile on a different social media platform – go for it! If you end up not liking it, it’s okay. The most important thing is that you gave it a shot and you know one way or the other. I definitely expected to fall off of my TikTok a few days in but I have posted daily content since its creation. Your new favorite thing could be just one try away!

As always, give me a follow on TikTok @lilred6794 and keep pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone. You never know what opportunities will come from it!

Have you tried something new recently? How did it go? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

An Update For You

An Update For You

Hello!! I have been eluding to a big life change for the past few weeks and am finally ready to spill. While I am not going to go into detail, I will say that I have stepped down from my previous job in social media. This honestly wasn’t a difficult decision to make because my mental health was on a shockingly fast downward spiral and I kid you not everyone close to me noticed. As is my way, I tried to put on a brave face and power through but I literally couldn’t do it anymore and I have no shame in admitting that.

Since making the best choice for me, I feel absolutely spectacular and I don’t think I realized how depressed I actually was. The following day, I felt like me for the first time in a long while and it was so nice to be reunited with my old self. In fact, I almost forgot that I used to be smiling nonstop, happy go lucky, and living my best life every single day. I’m not going to lie, it felt incredibly foreign to be flooded with joy to simply start my day and I needed to shake the cobwebs off. Rather than shy away from this intense sensation of happiness, I embraced it like an old friend. I cannot describe to all of you how good it feels to feel good again.

The moral of the story is that you do know what’s best for you and it’s up to you and you alone to make the best decisions for yourself. In my situation, I listened to everyone but me and I regret that wholeheartedly. I knew I wasn’t happy, I ignored it, and followed the encouragement to keep going. All that did was put myself in a horrible position that could have been completely avoided had I went with my gut. The OTHER moral of the story is that your instincts are spot on so don’t sweep them under the rug like I did. This isn’t me throwing myself a pity party, rather, sharing a cautionary tale. And, I am pleased to report that this tale did have a happy ending!

Shameless Plug but hit me up if you are looking for a Social Media Manager!!

Have you ever had a situation similar to mine? How did it turn out? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

How To Find Your Home Decor Style

Standard
How To Find Your Home Decor Style

Everyone knows this, but trends are loud. They’re everywhere, always changing, and incredibly convincing. One minute, everything is earth tones and arches. The next, it’s glossy black furniture and checkerboard rugs. Suddenly, your saved folder is full of images that all look like they belong in someone else’s house. Sure, even if you want that hotel feel for your home, some things just still seem to feel off, right? You buy a vase shaped like a face because everyone else is doing it. But does it even go with your vibe? Or do you just feel like it should? That’s the tricky part about decor trends. They have a way of tricking people into thinking they love something when really, they just saw it enough times to believe it.

But really, the goal is not just to decorate, but to find your taste. The stuff you actually love. The colors that make you feel calm, the textures that make you feel cozy, and the styles that make you want to invite people over, just to show them around. And that doesn’t come from copying what’s trending. It comes from tuning into your own preferences, your lifestyle, and your version of comfort:

Okay, just go ahead and forget interiors for a second. What books, clothes, or even random objects are you drawn to? If your wardrobe is full of flowy neutrals, your house probably doesn’t want to be neon and glossy. If you collect vintage postcards or have a thing for quirky ceramics, that tells you something, too. Style isn’t always obvious in your home, yet it’s already showing up in your life. Pay attention to the colors you wear the most. The patterns you gravitate toward. The restaurants or coffee shops you like spending time in. These all reflect your taste in more honest ways than scrolling through decor hashtags for three hours.

There’s a version of your dream space that probably lives rent-free in your mind. But there’s also your real life. If your house is full of kids, pets, or activity, that white linen sofa is not going to love you back. If you hate cleaning, high-shine surfaces that show every fingerprint are going to make you resent your own choices. Your decor taste isn’t just what looks pretty. It’s also what feels manageable, inviting, and livable. Lifestyle matters. Your home should feel like a place you can exist in, not just pose in.

Trying to stick to one exact style often backfires. You buy one modern chair, then panic and fill the whole room with mid-century pieces until it starts looking like a showroom. Then suddenly you realize you don’t even like mid-century furniture that much, you just thought you had to commit once you bought that first chair. Think of it like this: the best spaces have layers. Something vintage next to something sleek. A rug that doesn’t match the sofa, but still works somehow. Your taste doesn’t need to live in one lane. It can pull from different places, as long as it feels cohesive in a way that makes sense to you.

Even something as structured as a bathroom can reflect that. For example, bathroom suites are a great way to give the space a cohesive, polished look, where the tub, toilet, and sink actually belong together, without feeling overly matchy or sterile. It’s usually the fixtures and the shapes that match (which is already standard for most bathrooms anyway), but the decor and flooring (and the tile work) don’t usually match the fixtures and you can get creative.

Color can be intimidating. It feels permanent, even when it’s just paint. But it’s one of the fastest ways to figure out what actually feels good in your space. Try a pillow, a throw, or even a cheap piece of art in a bold color you think you might love and see how it feels over time. Do you keep looking at it? Or are you starting to avoid it like an ex at the grocery store? That reaction tells you a lot. Color doesn’t have to be loud to make a statement. It just has to feel like something you want more of, not something you’re trying to get used to. And if it turns out you hate it? That’s still progress. Just knowing what you don’t like is just as helpful as knowing what you do.

Timeless is one of those buzzwords that sounds safe but says almost nothing. What’s timeless now probably won’t be in five years. What’s really timeless is a space that’s personal. One that reflects its people, not just its moment. Instead of trying to lock in a style that will never go out of fashion, build something that grows with you. Your taste is allowed to evolve. That’s not failure. That’s just being human. Your home isn’t a time capsule. It’s a work in progress.

There’s always that moment. You open a decor site, click on a style quiz, and suddenly you’re being told you’re 70% Scandinavian with a splash of mid-century modern and… coastal grandma? Now, everything in your cart feels like it has to match that label, or it’s going to throw off the whole “aesthetic.” But real homes don’t work like that. Most people don’t live in a perfectly curated theme. They live with hand-me-downs, impulse buys, and furniture that was supposed to be temporary six years ago. It’s okay if your dining table doesn’t match your bookshelf, or if your couch is more “comfortable nap zone” than “editorial spread.” What matters is that the space feels right when you’re in it, not that it fits some internet-approved style category.

Once you’ve honed in on your personal style, the next step might be bringing that vision to life on a larger scale. This is where working with professionals who offer custom home renovation services can truly make a difference. A skilled renovation team can help you translate your unique tastes into functional, beautiful spaces that reflect your personality while enhancing your home’s value. If you want to reimagine your kitchen layout, add a cozy reading area, or redesign multiple rooms for better flow, experts can guide you through every stage of the process. They’ll ensure that structural changes, material choices, and finishes all align with the look and feel you love, while also considering durability and long-term usability. Collaborating with the right renovation specialists means you can focus on the creative aspects of your project, knowing that the technical side is being handled with precision.

Finding your home decor style shouldn’t be stressful but fun! Go with your instincts, be creative, and your space will soon feel perfectly you.

Are You Ready For A Big Change?

Are You Ready For A Big Change?

Hello!! Whether it is a change that is expected or not, change can be really hard. However, change is necessary and, more often than not, the risk is worth the reward. I have some big changes coming up in the next few months and despite feeling a little stressed, I am mainly excited! After spending a lot of time mulling over my decision, I was able to reach a conclusion that was best for me. Here are the approaches that I took that I found to be the most helpful and maybe they will help you too for your next big adventure:

Are you currently feeling unhappy with where you’re at? Then, I invite you to time travel! Go back and think about the last point in your life when you were feeling fully content. What was your situation back then? What changed between then and now? Can you make the changes to get those feel good feelings back? When you can pinpoint that moment in time, you can really start to evaluate what was working for and against you. Even if you can’t make a huge change immediately to get your life on a more positive trajectory, you will have a place to start when the time comes.

Of course, making major life changes requires a lot of planning. In my situation, I made my perfect world plan as well as several backup options that I would be happy with too. When you have a Plan A, a backup plan, and a backup to your backup plan, you are well set to implement them anyway you see fit. It could be a combination of the three or you might find that one plan has everything and you are going for it. Putting all of your eggs in one basket definitely means betting on yourself but, remember, sometimes compromises will need to be made to get you to where you want to be!

Does simply the thought of making a change make you happy? Or maybe you have a gut feeling that a shift in your life needs to be made? Don’t ignore that! No one but you can tell you what’s right for you so listen to yourself. What’s best for you might not be the decision a partner or loved one would make and that’s okay because it’s your life. Only you can direct where it’s going to take you so if you are experiencing that desire for change, work with it.

A big life change can sometimes feel like a grieving process. You are switching up the norm and that can be difficult to wrap your head around. However, implementing a necessary change is going to be a lot harder if you are constantly going back and forth about it in your head. Be firm and confident in the decision you arrived at and challenge those wishy washy thoughts. This is why it is so important to plan, plan, plan because solid next steps can allow you to go forth knowing without a doubt that you made the right choice.

If you feel ready for a big change – go for it full steam ahead. You never know where it will take you but the chances are high that you’re going to feel a lot better!

Have you had a big change in your life recently? What helped you during that process? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Something Silly

Something Silly

Hello!! There is honestly never a dull moment in the apartment community that Johnny and I reside in. Crazy things are always happening and after living here for so long, you just eventually get used to it lol. This past Thursday, I had a difficult time falling asleep and was treated to something that I don’t hear very often: The apartment community at night. Johnny and I go to bed insanely early because we both get up for work insanely early. So, as I attempted to fall asleep, I was hearing ALL of the things that I would normally be sleeping through. There was a heated argument in the apartment beside ours (So juicy!), a car alarm incessantly blaring, and something that made me laugh hysterically and quietly as to not wake Johnny up!

As I was just laying there, I could hear a car zooming through the property. That’s totally normal, but what made this occurrence different was the music being played. Whomever was in the car was straight up BLASTING Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen and I wasn’t even mad about it. They had great taste! And, of course, it was impossible not to immediately think of this iconic scene from Wayne’s World:

^^^ I have no rights to this song or video!

I like to think that the passengers in the car were recreating this video together and it was one of those goofy things that I felt compelled to share. That’s apartment life for you!

Have you ever lived in an apartment? Do you have any stories about your time there? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah
