Careers For Anyone With A Driving License

The beauty of having a driving license is that you become opened up to a lot more jobs and many companies might even pick you first for a job because if it. Here are some of the ways you can make a living by being a driver:

Delivery Driver:

If you are looking for a way to make some extra money this month, then you can give up a couple of hours in the evening to be a delivery driver. You can become an uber eats driver, a deliveroo driver, or even ask at your local takeaway if they need some extra help. It won’t necessarily be a huge wage for you to live off of, but it will be a good start.

Formula One Driver:

If you really love to drive and you want a career where you get to live your ultimate dream, then becoming a racing driver could be the perfect career path for you. It will, of course, be a difficult journey for you to take on, but as long as you have the passion and drive to success you can make this into a wonderful career for yourself.

Tank Driver:

If you have ever wondered who mans the tanks in the army, you could be one of these people. Tank drivers are not just average soldiers and they have to be trained heavily to be able to man such a monstrous machine. If you always loved playing army as a child, then this could be your chance to live the dream and play with the real thing for yourself.

Bus Driver:

If you love your local area and you also enjoy talking to new people every day, then becoming a bus driver could be the perfect job for you. You will get free travel around the country when you aren’t working and you can enjoy driving around your local city every day. You will, of course, need the patience to not get road rage!

Chauffeur:

Chauffeurs aren’t just for characters off of Downton Abbey, you know. Many high profile people will use a chauffeur to drive them around every day, and it means that you will have the chance to drive the most luxurious cars as you tend to your employer. You will need several years of driving experience and you will also need to have some basic car maintenance skills in case you ever get stuck out on the road.

Driving Instructor:

Last but not least is becoming a driving instructor for children and other people in your local area. You can either join an agency and work on their behalf or go out independently and make a name for yourself like that. You will need special training and lots of driving experience, as well as a license to say that you are allowed to teach. Of course, qualifications might vary depending on your location. To begin exploring career opportunities in this field, simply enter a search for “driving lessons ponteland” (or your local area). From there, you can gain more information for each agency to better determine if it’s a fitting environment for you.

If you love to drive and have a lot of, well… drive, then a career that gets you behind the wheel of a car could be an amazing option for you!

Upgrade Your Evenings In With These Netflix Hacks

Upgrade Your Evenings In With These Netflix Hacks

Thanks to Netflix, nights in have gotten so much better. We now have a lot more options when it comes to finding TV shows and movies to watch. What’s even better is that it doesn’t cost anywhere near as much as a Sky TV package. Viewing some of the best movies and shows has never been so cheap! But did you know that your streaming could be so much better by using just a few simple hacks? Read on to find out more!

Upgrade Your Internet:

First things first, it is worth taking a look at your current internet package. If you are paying for just the basic package, it really is worth upgrading. That’s because your internet probably won’t be fast enough for top-quality streaming. It could make everything that you try and watch freeze or load really slowly. Not only that, but the picture quality probably won’t be fantastic.

So, buy some faster broadband, and you will notice a big difference in the quality of your streaming. You could even treat yourself to the best vpn for torrenting while you’re at it! If you do decide to look at some different internet service plans, make sure you shop around. Most companies tend to offer new customer discounts or special promotions for loyal customers. That way, you can be sure you are getting the best value for your money.

Once you have a fast and stable internet connection, you can start to research how to access Netflix titles from other countries. With surf shark and Netflix combined, you can set your VPN to your desired location, and find even more content at your fingertips. This is a great tip, if you find yourself watching the same movies often, and need a new catalog of films to browse.

Download Movies And Shows For Offline Viewing:

Power cuts might be very rare these days, but it’s always better to be safe than sorry! After all, you never know when the next big storm might hit your home. And you don’t want to be left without power and things to watch on TV! So, download some shows and movies onto your tablet devices for those times tht you need to watch something offline. This is also a great idea for long journeys, too. Just give your kids your smartphone with a film downloaded onto it and you won’t hear a peep from them throughout the entire trip!

Add Another Subscription For Even More Choice:

Netflix has some really great choices, but let’s face it. It doesn’t have everything, does it? For instance, there are still a few of last year’s Oscar-nominated films that still aren’t on the streaming platform. So, it could be worth adding an extra subscription service, such as Amazon Prime or Now TV. That way, you can improve your choices and you will never run out of things to watch.

Remove Your Guilty Pleasures From Your History:

Your viewing history will help the Netflix algorithm figure out suggestions for you. Unfortunately, one badly chosen movie or TV show will ruin your algorithm and it could start recommending you a load of old rubbish! Thankfully, you can delete your history. And that also comes in handy if you have a fondness for watching guilty pleasures, such as romcoms. You can remove them so no one else will know what you’ve been watching!

Ready to take your Netflix viewing to a whole new level? Well, you can do just that with all of the great hacks above. Movie night, anyone?

Treats That Won’t Throw The Diet Out The Window

Treats That Won’t Throw The Diet Out The Window

We all need a treat from time to time. The opportunity to indulge. For most people, that opportunity is all about sitting down with something delicious. However, if you’re dieting, it might feel like you’re forever cut off from those treats. But that might not be the case. In fact, there are some treats that might not be as bad for you as you think, and even have their own benefits, like the following:

Chocolate:

This one might have alarm bells ringing for some as, indeed, it can be one of the most tempting treats of them all. But chocolate isn’t something that you have to avoid entirely. In fact, dark chocolate, in particular, can be quite good for you. Not only does it have some benefits when it comes to fighting aging and cancer, but the flavanols in dark chocolate have been proven to improve heart health, improving circulation and helping you control your cholesterol levels. This doesn’t mean that you should have a huge bar every day, but when you’re craving a sweet treat, it’s not as bad for you as you may have been led to believe.

snacks

 YUM!

Butter:

It gets a bad rap, often considered to be one of the worst fats you can put in your body. But the truth is, that butter isn’t as bad for you as previously thought. Butter is a saturated fat, but now studies from places like the World Health Organization are saying that saturated fats can make up to 10% of your calorie intake without too much danger. What’s more, livingthenourishedlife.com shows that butter has plenty of benefits of its own, improving your gut health and boosting your metabolic system. That means that a little helping of butter on your baked potato can actually help you burn calories better. Who would have thought?!

snacks1

Lol, that butter looks so picture perfect.

Popcorn:

When you think of butter, your thoughts might immediately go to what it’s best served with. There’s no competition there, of course: it has to be popcorn. Popcorn is fast becoming one of the favorite treats of those trying to control their weight, especially those with stronger cravings. As healthline.com shows, popcorn is a high-volume, low-calorie food, meaning that you can eat more of it without increasing your calorie intake too much. Toffee popcorn doesn’t quite have the same benefit, unfortunately, so you have to be selective.

snacks2

 Love me some popcorn!

Wine

Too much alcohol consumption can drastically increase weight gain, there’s no doubt about that. However, a glass of wine with dinner can do you a world of good. Moderate consumption, i.e. a small glass, can boost your body’s calorie burning processes for up to 90 minutes after you drink it. Wine has also been shown to have some benefits in cognitive health, improving long-term memory, as well as preventing the clots associated with heart disease. How awesome is that?!

snacks3

#bottomsup

Set aside a treat for yourself every now and then but, as with everything, do it in moderation. Schedule it in as part of your regular routine, keeping it under control so that you don’t end up slipping into the deep end with your diet.

4 Career Paths In Public Administration

4 Career Paths In Public Administration

If you are currently in search of a career path that is fitting of your vocational calling, earning a degree in public administration might be one that you will want to consider. This is a noble calling where you can service your local, national, or global community. It is a way to put your gifts to use, in conjunction with the education that you receive, to make the world a better place. With that in mind, take a look at four possible career paths in public administration that you might find appealing:

Education Administration: We all know that schools are one of the most important social institutions that we have. Without them, we cannot adequately prepare young people to become productive members of society themselves. That being said, schools depend on professional and qualified administrators in order to run smoothly. Without that, chaos can quickly descend on the institution itself. If you enjoy the field of education, and you have the capacity to lead and supervise, a career in educational administration might be right up your alley.

Elected Official: City, state, and county jurisdictions across the country are in need of qualified officials to take over the helm. Managing items of the public interest is serious business, and it requires a specialized knowledge that not just anyone possesses. When you have a degree in public administration, you will be well positioned to run for public office and have members of the community take you seriously. You will also learn the skills necessary for public crisis management, and that is something that is becoming more and more important today.

Policy Advisor: Society is constantly evolving and changing. Along with that comes the need to create new policies and regulations in order to properly manage and organize the people within any given community. A policy advisor is able to read what is happening and propose new ideas that will better reflect the changing face of society. It is, once again, a specialized field that requires a unique knowledge base and set of skills. This is how society will adapt and change with the times. Policies that are rooted in the past are often doomed to fail today. In exchange, policy advisors look for ways to anticipate the future and make sure that the local community is prepared when the time comes.

Civil Service Jobs: There are a host of civil service jobs designed to support and uphold the ideals of the local community. Not everyone aspires, or is qualified, to be an elected official. That does not mean that you do not want to serve in a professional capacity. If that is you, then a civil service job is what you are looking for. These are typically support role positions that follow a set career path. Job security is high, but so is the competition.

While there are many more jobs awaiting a person with a degree in public administration, these four should give you the motivation that you need to pursue a higher education. Giving yourself to help others, and making a career out of it at the same time, is extremely rewarding. You owe it to yourself to at least consider such a career option, so contact a school near you today.

What It Takes To Join The Army

Standard
What It Takes To Join The Army

If we are honest, all countries need their military at present, although it is not the case that everyone is suitable for military service. But if you are thinking about joining your army, you might well be wondering whether or not you actually have what is required to make that happen. It’s no secret that it takes plenty of training and a lot of time before you can get fully admitted into the army – but in the first place, you need to work out whether you are made of the right stuff. You might be surprised at just how many people probably are, and if you read on you will see some strong arguments that you might be able to do this as your career – if you so choose to follow that particular line in your life:

A Sense Of Pride:

Something that tends to set apart those who want to be in the army from the rest of the civilians is that they have a deep pride in their country, their homeland, and what it stands for. If you feel that you are particularly proud of your own nation, then you will probably find it easier to become a soldier, or employ another role within the army of your country (see below). Of course, this is not something you can fake, and you either are proud of your country or you are not. But as long as you are, and you are keen to serve that country in the manner of your choosing, you might find that joining the army is a great way to do so. If you are particularly proud, you might even choose to have your time in the army commemorated later on with a coin from MilitaryCoinsUSA or somewhere similar.

A Special Skill:

It’s important to remember that not everyone in the army is a soldier. You have a number of different roles which you might be able to fulfill, and that’s why one of the first things to do is to make sure that you have a certain skill which you can be proud of, and which nobody else necessarily has as well as you. It might be that you are a particularly good chef, in which case you could occupy that position in the army. Or maybe you are an engineer, and you want to do that, instead. Whatever it is, you can be sure that there is some way in which you can make it a part of your life by joining the army of your country. So don’t feel that you have to do some of the less savory acts you might associate with being in the army – there are a whole range of things to do.

Commitment:

Once you have made the decision, however, it’s vital that you stick to it. You need to be fully committed to your decision to be in the army if you are to make the most of it, and you might even suffer some poor consequences if you don’t manage to follow through with this. If you don’t know whether you will have the commitment or not, it can mean that you find it much harder to achieve what you want to with your career, so this is an important part of the whole.

Making any major choices in your career path is something that should be thought about very carefully, especially if you are considering a role in your nation’s army.

How Your Sleeping Position Can Impact Your Health

Standard
How Your Sleeping Position Can Impact Your Health

We all know that getting a good night’s sleep is a vital component of health — but did you know the position you sleep in can also be important? On the surface, this sounds like junk science. After all, if you’re sleeping, that’s the bit that counts, surely? Why does it matter how you sleep, so long as you’re doing it?

Numerous studies have concluded that your sleeping position can indeed influence your health. The downside of this is that many people have a preferred sleeping position, and the idea of trying to sleep differently is very difficult to imagine. It therefore makes sense to know the potential downsides of your preferred sleeping position, so you can take action to mitigate the effects:

Side Sleepers:

The bad news…

  • Side sleepers are the most at-risk group for neck complaints. If you find that you frequently wake up with a sore neck or headache, it’s likely that the body alignment you adopt while sleeping on your side is to blame. Invest in a pillow that is specifically designed to adapt to the curve of your neck, so you are thoroughly supported throughout the night.
  • Side sleepers are also at risk of back and hip problems, again due to the alignment of your body while sleeping. As you can see on this Lull Bed review, side sleepers have been found to enjoy mattresses that conform to their body shape, so keep this in mind when you’re purchasing a mattress.

The good news…

  • Studies have shown that sleeping on your left side can reduce acid reflux for those suffering from GERD.

Back Sleepers:

The bad news…

  • Sleeping on your back does not mean you will necessarily develop a condition called sleep apnea, but sleep apnea sufferers who sleep on their back will definitely exacerbate the condition. Sleep apnea is a sleep disorder that causes people to stop breathing during sleep; this is usually only momentary and happens without conscious awareness in most cases. If you do have sleep apnea, avoid sleeping on your back to help prevent attacks. You should also be utilizing cpap cleaning machines to keep your cpap sanitary and keeping your doctor updated on any changes to your condition.
  • Back sleepers are also more likely to snore than those who sleep in other positions, which can cause issues with dry mouth and throat pain.

The good news

  • Sleeping on your back ensures your spine is always in alignment with the rest of your body, so back sleepers are the least likely to experience aches and pains caused by their sleep habits.

Front Sleepers:

The bad news…

  • Lower back pain is a real risk for front sleepers, as your body is forced to flatten unnaturally. Try sleeping with a pillow under your abdomen to mitigate this.
  • Neck pain is also common for front sleepers. Most specialists recommend using pillows to train yourself to sleep on your side, as front sleeping is generally considered to be the worst sleeping position.

The good news

  • Snoring is less common in front sleepers.

In conclusion:

Now that you know how to prevent any issues caused by your sleeping position, you can make a few changes and ensure that your sleep is always as beneficial and restorative as it should be.

What Does The Future Look Like If You Don’t Tackle Your Health Today?

Standard
What Does The Future Look Like If You Don’t Tackle Your Health Today?

None of us are stupid when it comes to health. There’s enough information out there to tell us we should live well today to avoid illness tomorrow. Heck, even without that, this is common sense stuff. You don’t have to be a genius to work out that neglecting your body will catch up with you down the line. Even some of us in our twenties are starting to feel the impact of teenage bad habits catching up. And, this karmic retribution can only get worse. We all know it.

The good news is, it doesn’t have to be like that. If you can really open your eyes to the future that awaits if you don’t change, there’s no chance you’ll carry on this way. This does involve facing up to hard truths. Sometimes, though, the hard realities teach us the most important lessons. So, buckle up for a trip into your future if you carry on ignoring your health:

Confinement: In many ways, the worst thing about neglecting your body is how trapped you’ll be in the future. The worse you treat your body, the less able you’ll be to stay mobile in your later years. If you don’t exercise or use your muscles often, they’ll begin to weaken and waste. And, when that happens, walking for extended periods will become increasingly difficult.

Given that your joints stiffen with ageing anyway, issues like these can leave you unable to leave the house. And, when that happens, you’ll find yourself confined in the worst way. You’ll rely on family or carers to do even simple tasks for you, and no one wants that.

Hours spent in waiting rooms: You may get away with neglecting your health for now, but it isn’t going to last. At some stage, things will start to fail. When that happens, you’ll be spending large portions of your time in waiting rooms for one appointment or another. It’s not unusual for neglectful people to face two or three weekly appointments down the line. And, that’s no way to spend your retirement.

What’s more, your decreased mobility will leave you unable to make your way to appointments. Walking won’t be an option, and neither will driving once your vision and hearing start to fail. As such, you’ll have to rely on taxis or public transport to get you where you need to be. Which means that even a five-minute appointment could take up a large chunk of your day. Is this what you dreamt of when you thought about your golden years?

futuree1

Costs: The majority of us put money into a pension pot throughout our lives. As we do so, we imagine the blissful years that pension could afford us. Oh, the holidays abroad without a care in the world. Only, if you don’t look after yourself, that money will be tied up before you even receive it. Even if you have insurance, long-term and extreme medical costs can often be hard to come by. When you reach 65, you will be eligible for additions like these Medigap insurance options, which can make things a little easier to afford. But, even these measures cost a monthly sum.

So what can you do to prevent such poor health as you age? You can start with some of the following:

Exercise: You know this was coming, right? Exercise, exercise, exercise. If we say it enough, perhaps you’ll pay attention. Moving your body is the best way to ensure your mobility stays with you into your later years. The less you move, the less chance you’ll be able to down the line.

Of course, we’re thinking about this with the above future in mind. So, that means that you should focus on exercise to strengthen your muscles above all. Focus on gentle exercise techniques, such as yoga. It doesn’t get much better than this for helping to build muscle strength. Even better, you’ll likely find this routine is much easier to get into. With less focus on high-energy sessions, yoga isn’t as awful a concept as some exercises. All you need to do is grab your mat, and get to know your body a little better. Then, you can wave hello to a future of flexibility. Keep it up, and you’ll likely be more flexible in your sixties than ever before!

Eat right: If you eat poorly, your health WILL suffer. This applies in a variety of ways. Eating sugary foods on a regular basis could lead to issues such as diabetes. You’ll definitely fall foul to constant doctor’s visits if you suffer from this. And, the possibilities don’t end there. Eating processed foods which are high in fat can also lead to increased blood pressure and heart disease. Not to mention that excess weight can also cause issues with your mobility. That’s not to say, of course, that you have to eat like a rabbit. Instead, practice moderation and ensure that you’re eating plenty of fresh foods.

Cut bad habits: Habits such as smoking and drinking can cause significant issues for you down the line. As well as increased susceptibility to illnesses, smoking reduces blood circulation. Again, this is a mobility issue, which can even lead to loss of limbs in extreme cases. In which case, you would be even more confined than you would have otherwise. Drinking gets less attention, but this, too, can do damage. We all know alcohol can affect the liver. But, it also poses a risk to healthy brain functioning and leaves you open to some cancers. So, drop the habit before it drops you into the future we’ve spoken about!

Being in the best health possible is important, not just now – but for down the line, as well. If you want a future unlike the one we mentioned above, follow our tips to improve your health today.

Blog Post Ideas For When You’re Out Of Blog Post Ideas Finale

Blog Post Ideas For When You’re Out Of Blog Post Ideas Finale

Howdy! I decided to make my Blog Post Ideas For When You’re Out Of Blog Post Ideas post a series, so today we are going to wrap things up with the grand finale! Writer’s block and blogs with no content will be a thing of the past, because after this post yours truly will have provided FIFTEEN prompts to help get you started. We will conclude with these ideas:

You could write about…

Your Pets:

Who doesn’t love animals? Whether it be your dog or cat or maybe you have more exotic pets like a snake or parrot, animal posts are always fun. I, myself, have written about my two beloved rescue pups, Gem and Ollie, many a time. You could share pictures of your furry, feathery, or scaly friends, which is sure to bring a smile to your reader’s faces. Or you could write about the rescue organization that you adopted your forever friend from. No matter how you go about it, pet posts are sure to please!

Your Job:

Being in the working force is something that almost all of us are familiar with. No matter if it’s the dream job or a dead end deal that you’re ready to move on from, chances are that your readers can relate. Of course, don’t spill details that you’re not comfortable with like your coworker’s names or the company that you’re employed by. But, do share humorous work stories like that time that your boss had toilet paper stuck to his or her shoe or when you accidentally asked for “one sex” instead of “one sec” while getting out your resume in a job interview. Or, perhaps you just need to vent about a bad day on the job. We all get it, so share away.

Your BFF:

With #friendshipgoals always being a relevant trending topic, why not write about your bestie? Maybe you have been best friends with your number one for over a decade, like mine. Or you might have met your A1 in an unconventional way. Your readers will be inspired by your loyalty to your ride or die AND your best friend will love being featured on your page – it’s a win/win. With friendship in mind, you could also write about tips for making new friends, which is especially beneficial to those that are shy or have some social anxiety. So, take a seat at your laptop and spread the friendship love!

Your Dreams:

What was the craziest/scariest/funniest/weirdest dream that you’ve ever had? Do you wake up with feelings of “wtf?” every morning from your vivid dreams during your snoozefest? Then, creating a dream log on your blog might be a great and interesting way to create content. We share our crazy dreams with people sometimes as soon as we wake up, so why not do the same on your page? Or, if you forget your dreams pretty easily, then you could always write about your daydreams, instead. A shopping spree or a trip to Europe, anyone?

Food & Drinks:

We all have to eat and drink, it’s a fact of life. And, because of that, us lucky bloggers will always have something to write about. Are you an adventurous eater? Or maybe you are a bit picky and are trying to branch out some more. Perhaps you love to host dinner parties. A meal brings people together in every walk of life, so food related posts can really help to bring a sense of community to your page. Share your favorite recipes, tell us your cooking disasters, and dish on your kitchen hacks that will make cooking and cleanup afterwards easier. Us foodies want to know!

I hope that this brainstorming series was beneficial to all of my blogging friends that tune into lifewithlilred. Thank you for checking it out! Which ideas are you going to incorporate into your blog? How do you go about creating content on your page? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Blog Post Ideas For When You’re Out Of Blog Post Ideas

Blog Post Ideas For When You’re Out Of Blog Post Ideas

As writers, we all have those days where we can’t seem to come up with anything. Whether that be writing a novel in pen or typing away on your blog, when nothing seems to click, it can be nothing short of ripping your hair out frustrating. We’ve all had writer’s block in some way shape or form as far as creating content goes. And today, I am here to help you get unstuck when you need some ideas for posts on your blog. Take a look:

You can write about…

Your Favorite Travel Location:

Whether it be your favorite family vaca or just your local coffee shop around the block, shine some spotlight on it. Everyone daydreams about travel, so give the people something to wanderlust about. Perhaps you visited Harry Potter World in Florida or California. Maybe that cute little smoothie shack in town makes the best strawberry banana treat that you’ve ever tasted. Giving people an escape from their own world is what blogging is all about, so literally let them escape and transport them to your favorite place.

All Things Beauty:

Do you have a cupboard full of makeup products or nail polishes? Do you dye your own hair? Perhaps you’re a cosmetologist, hair stylist, or nail tech. Tell us more! Beauty tips and tricks will always be popular, but it’s seriously such a hot topic right now. From YouTube influencers to celebrities spilling their secret hacks, everyone seems to be enthralled in learning more about the world of makeup. Dish about your favorite products, tricks, or your profession in the industry and watch your stats skyrocket.

Passion For Fashion:

Are you a shopaholic like myself? Are you a shoe hoarder? Do you love styling OOTDs? Similar to beauty, fashion is a hot trending topic right now. Whether you’re a full blown fashionista or just starting to develop your personal style, fashion posts will always be in demand. Tell us where you score the best deals for designer looks. Write about your tips on finding amazing steals at the thrift shop. Teach us how to style a wardrobe staple, like a blazer, two or three different ways. Or, maybe you have some crazy stories about working fashion retail. No matter the topic, those with a passion for fashion will certainly appreciate it.

Snap Some Pics:

Are you a budding photographer? A selfie queen? Or, you might just love snapping some quick pics on your iPhone of things that interest you as you make your way throughout the day. Like writing about travel locations, pictures can transport the reader, as well. It doesn’t matter if you’re a photography professional or just starting out, because a picture is worth a thousand words. Show your readers the world through your eyes, and discover or refine a newly found or old passion.

Tell Us More:

A blog is literally an online diary and sometimes it can help to treat it as such. Maybe you had a bad day. Perhaps you had a totally embarrassing moment that, in hindsight, was hilarious. Or, something amazing happened and you want to scream it from the mountain tops. Write it out. Your days might not be interesting to you but, to others, it might feel like reading reality TV. Everyone has had the feeling before that literally every single person on the planet has a more exciting life than them. Or, they might just want to relate to someone else’s problems instead of focusing on their own. No matter what the case may be, share it with the world and watch as people come forward to share their own similar situations or just offer a kind word.

Blogging is a tough job, but somebody has gotta do it. So why not you? Getting stuck on creating content can certainly suck. But, with the guide above, you should be able to start cranking out new posts in no time!

How do you shake the feelings of writer’s block? What is your go to topic to write about? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Makeup Free Days

Makeup Free Days

Howdy! Back in the day, I used to complete my makeup routine almost daily – even if I was staying home for the day. As the years progressed, I realized just how silly this was and began slowly easing into Makeup Free Days. This originally started out as a Sunday occasion, but now, I spend at least half of my week with no makeup on. It’s crazy!

I wouldn’t say that I have this sky high confidence that makes me feel okay with no makeup on. It’s honestly more of a lazy girl thing. I apply my makeup and do my hair when I’m working in the community. But, if I am working from home or just running random errands during the day, I really don’t see the point of painting my face. Once I realized that going out in public with no makeup on wasn’t the end of the world, it became easier and easier to leave the house bare faced.

Of course, makeup free days save me time, but my skin and wallet are also definitely thanking me. I’ve noticed that my skin has looked increasingly healthier as I make my way through the year, because the products that I use after washing my face really gets a chance to sink in and work as opposed to being suffocated by the makeup on top. And, days without makeup equals using less of it, which equals buying less products, which equals more money in my pocket!

It’s a little surprising to me how within a handful of years, I went from caring so much about what complete strangers might think if I left the home in anything but full makeup perfection to running about town fresh faced for three or four days of the week. I guess that’s part of growing up. Getting older sucks. But, feeling okay makeup free is something that I’m definitely okay with!

Has anyone else had a makeup free epiphany similar to mine? How often do you apply makeup during the week? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah
