Christmas OOTD Pt. 1

Christmas OOTD Pt. 1

Hi! If you follow me on TikTok, you were able to see my Christmas OOTDs in real time. If not, let’s take a look at them in blog time AKA several weeks later lol. I had three festive fits to break out and I was so excited to wear them all – even if it was just for the sake of taking pictures. That was very much the case for the outfit you are about to see. We didn’t have an adult holiday party to attend and I couldn’t have imagined wearing this ensemble to visit our parents! Check it out:

Ho Ho Ho Sweater Vest: Spirit Christmas

Tree Skirt: Spirit Christmas

Bedazzled Fishnets: Urban Outfitters

Red Heels: Reaction By Kenneth Cole, TJMaxx

Hoop Earrings: Argentino Vivo, TJMaxx

I had a blast visiting Spirit Christmas before the big celebration and was hoping to find a cute elf or Mrs. Claus costume to wear. Instead, I walked away with a Step Brothers T-shirt, a sweater vest that put me on the naughty list, and a tree inspired skirt. Now, during a normal shopping trip I am looking for pieces that can be worn for several seasons rather than one day of the year. However, I just couldn’t say no to the Santa’s Favorite Ho sweater and a skirt that looked like I had stolen Christmas!

This OOTD was part naughty, part nice, but oh so much fun and I WILL find an event to wear it to next year, damnit. That cheeky sweater vest with the make you blush saying paired so perfectly with my tinsel skirt adorned with red and silver ornaments. It was like a sassy version of Santa’s elves and I got to do it Lil Red’s way as opposed to a store bought costume. The sweater vest may or may not have been a for the sake of content purchase but I did get to bust out the skirt again for my family celebration. My nieces and nephew were obsessed with it and so am I. Although the tinsel definitely started to shed after extended wear!

To wrap up this fiercely silly look, I slipped on a pair of bedazzled fishnet tights from Urban Outfitters for an extra pop of bling and, dare I say, naughtiness! To balance things out, an oh so sweet pair of red heels by Kenneth Cole were in order. It matched the sweater vest to the T and I just adore that fringe detailing. Last on the agenda was a pair of forest green hoop earrings by Argentino Vivo to keep with the Christmas palette. With that, I was ready to take pics and get back in my pajamas lolol.

I might not have gone anywhere in Part One of my Christmas OOTDs but that’s no matter. This look was for me (And all of you too!) and I am SO happy with these purchases even if they can only be worn during the holiday season!

Do you have a collection of holiday seasonal clothes? Where do you like to shop for them? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Best Ice Skating Session EVER

Best Ice Skating Session EVER

Hello! I was a competitive figure skater for close to a decade and it was a (mostly) wonderful experience. I haven’t gone skating as frequently as I would like in my adulthood but I think that is going to change very soon. Ever since I learned I was going to be an aunt to my first niece six years ago, I have dreamed of taking her skating. My niece told me that she would like to start learning when she was eight but then she changed it to six after talking about it. Yay because this past weekend we went skating for the first time together and it was nothing short of magical. Also my dad chauffeured us and that made it extra special too. Let’s discuss:

We visited the indoor rink in Canton, Center Ice, for our skate date and the open skate was buzzing with people enjoying their holiday vacation. This did not deter my niece from wanting to give it a shot and I was incredibly proud of her for being so brave. It can be intimidating to try something new when there are a lot of people around and I love that she just went for it. With the provided walkers to help beginner skaters at the rink, we made our way to the ice and my cold bitter heart began to swell like the Grinch.

During our first lap or two around, my niece worked on the old March, March, Glide and really got a feel for being on the ice and moving her feet. Then, she would take a quick break and sit with my dad while they watched me bust out some jumps and spins for the one time. After a few minutes I would ask if she wants to join me and we would go back to the ice together. About twenty minutes in, she even asked me if I would just skate around her and the walker so I could guide her through traffic jams if needed and she could DIY. Her confidence on the ice from start to finish raised infinitely and one lap around turned into two turned into three. It was absolutely amazing.

Not only was it a dream come true to skate with my niece for the first time, but it was pinch myself worthy to have my dad there too. My dad took me to almost every one of my skating practices. My mom would handle all of my competitions because my dad was too nervous to watch lol. It was the perfect tradeoff and I always loved that. I know that my dad being there for his granddaughter’s first “practice” was something he was looking forward to too. My dad introduced me to the joy of skating and now he got to watch me do the same for one of the little ones in our family. It was a full circle moment and I will cherish it forever.

I cannot wait to hit the rink up with my niece again if she would like to. If not, that’s okay! After this skate, I want to make an effort to go at least once a month and that seems like a great extra New Year’s Resolution!

Did you play any sports when you were a kid? Do you still play it now? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Big Blanket Co Robe

Big Blanket Co Robe

Hello! This Christmas was all about the gift of warmth. I received a brand new heated blanket from my parents to replace my broken one as well as an extra dose of cozy comfort. Johnny’s aunt gifted us with HUGE robes from Big Blanket Co and Johnny and I have basically been living in them since Christmas. It may have taken several minutes to release the robe from its bag (Peep my TikTok for that soon!) but it was so worth it. Once the robe was free was when the real magic began because this baby was full of fun surprises to keep me warm for the rest of the winter. Check it out:

When Johnny and I first opened our Big Blanket Co gift we genuinely thought it was a sleeping bag and were oh so surprised when it ended up being a robe! Johnny got a charcoal grey one and I got purple because I am a queen lol. It has been frigid cold in Ohio with temperatures barely above twenty degrees and I never realized how badly I needed something like this until now. It is the epitome of comfort and is so nice to wear around the apartment. This is especially true during the mornings at chez nous while it warms up after a freezing night. However, it makes me just want to go back to bed! 😀

The Big Blanket Co robes are definitely not the ordinary. It is SO heavy that it almost feels weighted and that extra heft paired with the soft fleece lining makes you want to wrap yourself in it and never leave. What Johnny and I love the most about these robes are the thumb holes! As soon as he realized they were there we were simply delighted by it – probably from our elder emo roots lol. Not only are there thumb holes but there is also a hood and sleeping mask too! This is literally a comforter and robe combined and it is nothing but joyous when we return home from work and put it on for the evening. Highly recommend. 🙂

For my fellow freeze babies out there, have I got a robe for you. This Big Blanket Co robe is everything and more and you will love it!

Do you have a favorite drink to warm you up when you’re cold? How about a go to piece of clothing? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

December 2025 Finishes

December 2025 Finishes

Hello everyone and welcome to the last beauty finishes post of 2025! It is officially 2026, baby, and I am so ready for another year of lifestyle fun with all of you. I am also eagerly anticipating the great skin care haul of 2026 with my Christmas gifted TJMaxx gift cards. Before we go into the new, it’s out with the old so let’s take a look at these empties and discuss further:

Would I Use Again?

Bath & Body Works Evil Queen Body Cream: MAYBE

Precision Beauty Fountain Of Youth Retinol Serum: YES

Emilianna Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer: MAYBE

Why/Why Not?

B&BW Body Cream: I purchased the Evil Queen body cream when it was offered at Semi-Annual Sale prices after Halloween. It wasn’t my favorite scent but that doesn’t matter too much to me as I only wear lotion to bed. Evil Queen smelled faintly like apple but it was primarily musky which I am so not a fan of. It grew on me after a few uses but I wouldn’t buy it again unless it was dirt cheap. It took me about two weeks of daily use to finish the bottle.

Precision Beauty Serum: I have been fairly loyal to the Precision Beauty brand for serums and I am not mad about it! They are long lasting and the effects are awesome. It took me a month and a half to finish this bottle with twice daily use. These serums are thicker in texture but absorb quickly and a little of it goes a long way for full face and neck coverage. In the time of using it, I noticed an instant glow up with every application. The Precision Beauty serums are so nourishing and I highly recommend them!

Emilianna Moisturizer: This moisturizer was pretty good but it wasn’t the best one I have used in the world and I probably wouldn’t purchase it again unless it was the only option available. The light, clean scent was nice and it almost felt like a cold cream when applied which was refreshing. However, in the over one month of using it I failed to see anything special about it. Definite last resort option, for sure.

With that, 2025 on lifewithlilred is complete. Stay tuned for a massive skin care haul coming soon!

Which products did you use up this month? What are your thoughts on any of the above products if you have used them before? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Family Holiday Haul

Family Holiday Haul

Hi hi! Whenever anyone asks me what I want for Christmas, I never know what to say. Literally all I do throughout the year is spoil and pamper myself so I already have everything I could possibly want lol. This year, however, my tune changed because there actually were a few things I would love to be gifted with. A new electric blanket because mine went kaput as well as baking pans which I have none of. I thought it would be fun for when my nieces come over as they enjoy being helpers when their mom is baking. I asked, I received, and I am so beyond happy with these gifts from my mom and dad:

My blogging bestie gifted me with an electric blanket for Christmas a few years ago. I basically lived in it and looked forward to returning home from work every day to snuggle up. Then, out of the blue, it just stopped working. There was no rhyme or reason for it and it was a sad day, indeed. Although I loved that damn heated blanket more than most people, I never bothered replacing it. It fell under my nice to have but not must have category and was the number one thing I asked for for Christmas. I was absolutely delighted when I opened it!

As for the baking pans, I never bothered getting them because Johnny and I really don’t have a sweet tooth. We might indulge in chocolate or ice cream from time to time but that is about it. I also have always preferred cooking to baking so cake pans and cupcake tins were unnecessary. My nieces just love to help with the ingredients, taste test, and decorate sweet treats, though, and I wanted to have the equipment so they could do the same at my place. Whenever we’re watching our nieces I like to have activities for the day planned and this is one of their favorites. Who knows, maybe I’ll even bake some of the recipes that I have saved and neglected on Facebook lol.

I knew exactly what I wanted this Christmas and was thrilled when my requests were waiting for me under the tree. I can’t wait to break them out!

What is your favorite thing to bake? Did you get everything you wanted this Christmas? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Ensuring Projects Complete Successfully Across Your Business

Ensuring Projects Complete Successfully Across Your Business

If you are keen to make sure that your projects are all going to complete successfully, there are a lot of different things that you might find helpful to think about. In this post, we are going to take a look at how you can ensure projects complete successfully across your business for an amazing new year:

This is one of the simplest ways to ensure that your projects are going to work out. As long as you have the right people involved you are going to find that you are much more likely to be able to see your projects work out. That means utilizing people who have the requisite skills and understanding to help make the projects a success. Think carefully about who you involve if you want your projects to work out as intended and expected.

In all kinds of projects, there is always going to be a question about which trends you should follow and which you might want to avoid. This is something that you should put careful thought into so your projects are up to date with what the masses want. Following the right trends, whether they are construction trends or marketing trends or anything in between will keep your projects modern and interesting. Make sure that you think about this for each project that you are working on.

This probably goes without saying, but good planning is always going to be a central part of any project completion. If you have done this, then there is no reason why your project shouldn’t have successful results. Before any project begins, plan in steps. What staff do you need? What kind of equipment? What kind of packaging or marketing? What’s the budget? Step by step planning will give you a fool proof guide as your project gets underway. Be sure to factor in for things that could go wrong too so any surprises won’t stop progress.

One of the main reasons that projects fail is that there ends up not being enough money that you had initially thought. This is a real problem as it puts all hard work and effort down the drain until the funding can be met. Make sure that you are budgeting carefully and accordingly. You might not be able to pinpoint the amount you need to spend down to the exact number. However, giving yourself a ballpark range with wiggle room to spare will be most helpful.

A successful project cannot be completed without the proper planning. Leave no stone unturned during this phase because small tasks matter just as much as the big ones and it can be easy to overlook!

Beautiful Bracelet Gifts

Beautiful Bracelet Gifts

Hello! My family celebrated Christmas on Sunday and it was the most wonderful time. The only thing that was missing was my brother in law who wasn’t feeling well. We played games, opened tons of prezzies, and had a delicious lasagna for dinner. I had been so looking forward to giving everyone their gifts as I have had them for months at this point lol. What I was especially excited for was a gift for my niece. When she started school last year, I got her best friend bracelets for us to wear. She promptly lost it that day while I have been wearing mine every day since. So, I decided to get us new ones for Christmas. Her and my sister had bracelets on their brains too! Check out these gifts:

My niece requested that we open our gifts to each other at the same time and as luck would have it she selected the tiny gift box with our bestie bracelets first. We cracked up when we saw that we had both gifted each other bracelets! I cannot even explain to you how much this Best Aunt bracelet from my best gal means to me. She picked it out at the Santa Shop at her school and used her own money to buy something perfect for me. My gal completely knocked it out of the park because this gift surpasses perfection. Being an aunt is one of my greatest joys and I am so happy that my nieces and nephew feel that too when we are together.

The next bracelet I received was a gorgeous sentiment for sisters from my big sis. I can’t believe at one point we were mortal enemies when we have been besties for so long! I was so touched by the thoughtfulness of this gift and I adore the colors of those beautiful beads. Between both of our busy schedules it can feel hard for us to make time for each other. This is a physical reminder that we are always together anyways and I felt so loved from it. ❤

It was a jewelry kind of Christmas and I was so there for it. I have a few new bracelets to add to my “wear every day” collection now and they are the best additions!

How did you celebrate the holidays? Did you get a meaningful gift this year? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

In Laws Holiday Haul

Hello! Johnny and I celebrated on Christmas day with his parents and it was so lovely. So much so that we are going to have Little Christmas in January to continue the festivities when his aunt comes to visit. I can’t wait because Christmas just wasn’t the same without her! Our day was full of laughter, amazing food, fun games, and wonderful gifts. Johnny’s family is always so sweet to spoil us and I can’t wait to use all of my prezzies! Check it out:

Yowza! My gift bags and stocking was filled to the brim with the most thoughtful gifts. Johnny’s dad is the king of the practical gift and we had our minds blown by the portable sealing machine. My main squeeze and I are most fond of a salty snack and if our chip bags can be sealed after digging in then life will never be the same. I also deeply appreciated the tiny Lowe’s bucket which my father in law has quite the collection of. It’s so classic him and will have a shining spot to be proudly displayed on our knick knack shelves! ❤

Johnny’s mom, on the other hand, loves to find those unique little somethings that we normally wouldn’t buy for ourselves. I love the gorgeous sketchpad that I received complete with a set of colored pencils so I can craft amateur masterpieces. I have zero talent for art but, hey, it’s exciting to create and Johnny’s mom requested a Lil Red Original to hang up. I’m looking forward to giving it my best shot! Also included was a stunning pair of earrings as well as goodies in my favorite scent from Bath & Body Works – Champagne Toast. Or as Johnny would call it, “Champagne & Toast” lol.

The piece de resistance of our presents has got to be the National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation Monopoly board. Johnny’s family has watched this movie on every Christmas day since it came out in 1989 and it is our favorite tradition. It is never not funny and we basically recite the entire movie every time we watch it. This year, we will watch it together with his aunt on Little Christmas because we need her vocals for the “Hey, Santa Claus” song! In lieu of watching the flick, we played Monopoly instead and had a blast. Johnny ran away with it but I am confident we can band together and beat his butt next time!!! 😀

Christmas day with my second family was absolutely fabulous and I can’t wait to do it all again on Little Christmas!

How did you celebrate the holidays? What is your favorite gift that you got? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Lil Red’s Book Club: Never Flinch By Stephen King Edition

Lil Red’s Book Club: Never Flinch By Stephen King Edition

Hello everyone and welcome to a brand new edition of Lil Red’s Book Club! In a spoiler free setting, as always, we will be discussing the horror king and literal king, Stephen King’s, newest book called Never Flinch. This book revisited a few beloved characters who were in Stephen King books that I unfortunately never read. However, this did not deter from my enjoyment of Never Flinch a bit and I devoured it in three sittings. Before we begin our chat, I will be placing a trigger warning on Never Flinch for graphic violence and child abuse. Now, let’s get to it:

An innocent man was wrongfully convicted, went to jail, and was murdered by an inmate. But who is the guiltiest of all? Do they even feel guilt? Trig wants to know and is going to seek revenge. For every guilty party who took place in the trial, an innocent person will be killed in their name. His murders are random, fast paced, and there is officially a serial killer on the loose. Trig knows he will die during his mission but wants a grand finale anyways. And what better way to end his spree than with two celebrities?

As the police and detectives work the Surrogate Juror Murders case, private investigator Holly Gibney is busy tracking down someone too. Holly was recently offered a new gig – to serve as bodyguard to controversial women’s rights activist Kate McKay. After a series of attacks during her lecture tour, Holly has been recruited to protect both McKay and her personal assistant. Their stalker has trailed them unseen throughout the tour and the attacks are becoming increasingly violent. Holly has decided she hates this job, but will see it through. Until the tour touches ground in her hometown at least, where the Surrogate Juror Murders are taking place.

Despite a serial killer running rampant, business as usual must continue. In Wherever, Ohio there are three big shows coming up. Sista Bessie, a gospel and soul singer, has come out of retirement to tour again. Kate McKay is lecturing and there is also the much anticipated Guns And Hoses charity softball game between the police and fire departments. Trig wants a grand finale to his spree and his stage has been set perfectly. Will he succeed in avenging the death of an innocent man? Or will real justice prevail? Read Never Flinch to find out!

I absolutely LOVE a cat and mouse plot and Never Flinch was excellent. It was actually quite an interesting change of pace because this book read more as a thriller than a true horror novel which we all know Stephen King specializes in. It had its moments of terror, sure, but this was a novel of suspense through and through and is a testament to the fact that King can write anything he pleases and it will still be great. Never Flinch was fast paced with a double cat and mouse plot and you all know I live for a multiple narrator setup. The book was told from the perspective of Trig, Holly, and Detective Jaynes, as well as two other characters. The flip flopping narrators kept me turning the pages until the very last.

Never Flinch was expertly written and provided good guy characters that were so easy to root for. Every page was one step closer to both the stalker and the killer being caught and I wanted to see it happen. Holly and Detective Jaynes were so plucky and resourceful and any scenes of danger involving them had my heart in my throat. I also deeply appreciated the local to my neck of the woods references like the Cleveland Cavs, the Guards, and the go to grocery store Giant Eagle. Stephen King put Ohio on the map, baby, and that was SO fun for my forever in Ohio self to read!

Overall I am going to rate Never Flinch with an eight out of ten stars. This was a delicious dive into a thriller Stephen King’s way and I highly recommend it!

What are you currently reading? What should I read next? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah
