SheaMoisture Whole Body Deo Cream Review

SheaMoisture Whole Body Deo Cream Review

Hello!! I used to LOVE shopping at Target but I feel like their clothes have left a lot to be desired over the years and it is a rare occasion that I go in for myself. However, every once in a while I will pop in to make a return or pick something up for my mom and I am never mad about it. The Target that I go to always has freebie beauty samples in a basket at customer service! One of the samples I picked up recently was for a Whole Body Deo Cream by SheaMoisture. Deo creams have become increasingly popular as of late and I was interested in giving it a try free of charge. If you are too, read this review!

IMG_1133

I have been a faithful user of Ban Unscented deodorant since I was a teenager and have never strayed from it. I honestly felt like I was cheating on my old faithful when I reached for the SheaMoisture cream as opposed to my new tube of Ban roll on. Curiosity got the best of me, though, and I succumbed. Lol you all know I love trying a new product! I have been using the deo cream for the past week and change and I wouldn’t say it’s bad, but I will be looking forward to when I’m done with the travel size bottle.

Let me start off with what I liked about this brand new deodorant experience… A little of it goes a very long way. The first time I used the SheaMoisture cream, I made the mistake of putting a quarter sized dollop in my hand. This was WAY too much and after a few days of tweaking with the amount, I found that barely a dime size of the cream per armpit is plenty. In fact, the bottle still felt brand new when I used it this morning. And, most importantly, I have been odor free with this product too so it is effective in that regard.

I’m not going to complain about the fact that the deo cream has a scent because beggars can’t be choosers when it comes to freebies. While I much prefer an unscented deodorant, I will say that the Coconut & Hibiscus scent dissipates quickly. I guess my main gripe with the SheaMoisture deo cream is the application. After sixteen years of using a roll on, it just feels weird to be putting deodorant on and rubbing it in with my bare hands lol. I can see why this product would be nice if you need all over odor protection because it does work and offers some moisturizing too. In my case, though, I only need it for my pits and I would still rather use my tried and true roll on.

Even though I wouldn’t use a deo cream again after I finish the two trial sizes I got, I can certainly see it’s value. If you are looking for more of an all over deodorant option, I would definitely recommend it and I think you will like it!

What is your favorite store to shop at? What old favorite stores do you not go to anymore? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Transform Your Photography Hobby Into A Side Hustle

Transform Your Photography Hobby Into A Side Hustle

Turning a photography hobby into a profitable side hustle is a rewarding journey, but it requires planning, patience, and a few smart strategies. From investing in equipment to building an online presence, there are several steps that can help hobbyists start earning from their passion. Hereโ€™s a guide to making photography not just something you love, but also a way to bring in extra income:

To go from hobbyist to professional, good equipment is essential. While itโ€™s tempting to stick with basic gear, investing in a high-quality camera, lenses, and lighting tools can significantly improve your work. Clients expect sharp, clear, and high-resolution images, and the right equipment makes that possible.

Beyond a great camera, consider investing in accessories like a tripod for stability and external flashes for better lighting in different settings. Drone photography is also becoming popular; if youโ€™re interested, check out sites like drdrone.ca for equipment that allows you to capture stunning aerial shots. Professional tools not only enhance image quality but also make the shooting process smoother and more enjoyable.

A strong portfolio is key to attracting clients. Choose your best work across different photography styles, whether it’s portraits, landscapes, events, or products, to show potential clients what youโ€™re capable of. Itโ€™s a good idea to include a variety of shots to demonstrate your range and versatility. Updating your portfolio regularly keeps it fresh and relevant to current trends. If youโ€™re interested in specializing in a particular niche, such as pet photography or food photography, create a separate portfolio for that to attract specific clients.

Editing can make a big difference in transforming good photos into amazing ones. Learning to use photo editing software like Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop helps enhance colors, correct lighting, and remove minor imperfections. These tools are essential for creating a polished final product that clients will love.

Specializing in a specific area can help you build expertise and attract targeted clients. For example, some photographers focus on portraits, while others might specialize in events, food, or real estate photography. A niche allows you to tailor your style and skills to meet the needs of a specific audience. Selecting a niche also makes it easier to market your services, as youโ€™ll be able to identify and connect with clients interested in that area.

An online presence is crucial for any side hustle, especially in photography. Start by creating a website or portfolio page where potential clients can see your work, learn about your services, and contact you. A simple, clean website showcasing your best shots and providing clear contact information can make a strong first impression. Social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook are also powerful tools for reaching a larger audience. Regularly posting your work and engaging with followers allows people to get a sense of your style and personality.

Setting fair, competitive prices can be challenging, but itโ€™s essential for building a successful side hustle. Research what other photographers in your area are charging and consider factors like your skill level, equipment costs, and editing time. Starting with a lower rate can attract clients initially, but be ready to increase prices as you gain experience and build a portfolio.

Building strong client relationships is one of the most effective ways to grow a photography side hustle. Satisfied clients often recommend you to others, which can bring in new business without extra marketing efforts. Delivering high-quality work, meeting deadlines, and communicating clearly shows clients they can rely on you.

Managing time and finances is crucial for a successful side hustle. Since photography often requires both shooting and editing, itโ€™s easy to underestimate how much time goes into each project. Setting a schedule for editing, responding to clients, and marketing your services helps you stay organized and meet deadlines consistently. Budgeting is also important, especially if youโ€™re investing in equipment or software. Tracking expenses and income gives you a clear picture of profitability, and itโ€™s helpful to set aside funds for upgrades or unexpected costs.

The photography industry is always evolving with new techniques, styles, and technology emerging regularly. Staying current by taking courses, reading photography blogs, or attending workshops helps you improve your skills and stay competitive. Thereโ€™s always something new to learn, whether itโ€™s advanced editing techniques, posing tips, or how to use different types of equipment.

With these tips, we hope you can create a lucrative photography side hustle!

Fall Hiking Spree Success

Fall Hiking Spree Success

Hello!! One of my favorite forms of exercise is easily taking walks and hiking. There are countless amazing Metro Parks in my neck of the woods within a twenty mile radius and beyond and it’s exciting to explore them. I try to go on at least four walks or hikes every week if the weather permits. Despite my absolutely insane schedule, it’s important to me to squeeze in that extra time for exercise. And, I always find that I feel much better after my walks even if I am really tired.

My go to walking companion is my older brother, Andrew, and we decided that we were going to make an effort to complete the Fall Hiking Spree. For the spree, the goal is to take hikes at eight different Metro Parks in the general vicinity by November thirtieth. Now, literally every year we talk about doing the hiking spree together and while we might do a few on the list, we never finished it in its entirety. I am pleased to report that this year, we not only talked about it but were about it. We took our last hike of the spree on Wednesday!!

I love walking with my brother and whether we spend our hikes chatting and joking or in silence, it is nice to work out together. I couldn’t tell you how many walks we take throughout the year but it is a lot and I can really tell that this hard work has paid off. Every time we hike together, we try to go a little bit further than we did the time before. These small increases might not seem like a big deal, but they were everything for an improved stamina. By the end of the spree and our past combined efforts, we were doing strenuous, three plus mile hikes like it was nothing. This was a thrill for us because we saw all of our previous “training” coming to fruition right before our eyes.

Not only did we complete the spree with time to spare, but we also became privy to Metro Parks that we had never been to before. It really gave me a better appreciation for the beauty in my own backyard and we found new favorite trails because of it. We saw the leaves change colors and fall, spotted wildlife, and fell in love with the trails that reminded us of Lord of The Rings. From beginner and moderate level hikes to the most advanced, we did them all and I am so proud of us!! We set our goal and achieved it and there is nothing better than that. ๐Ÿ™‚

After our Fall Hiking Spree Success, I just know that Andrew and I will continue on with our new tradition for many years to come. I can’t wait already!!

Do you have a favorite trail to hike? What kind of wildlife do you see on your walks? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Holiday Gift Brainstorm

Holiday Gift Brainstorm

Hello! The winter holiday season is fast approaching. For those last minute shoppers, this is no big deal. However, it definitely feels like crunch time for the people that like to get their shopping done early. I fall under the latter category and have been diligently pecking away at my to buy for list. I have to admit that I have been feeling pretty uninspired during my shopping so let’s do a Holiday Gift Brainstorm! Then, we can all sit back and enjoy the holiday season stress free:

One of the most popular options for gift giving falls under Gifts of Experience. This is a great way to go if you are shopping for someone who has everything! Experience gifts could be anything from movie tickets to a pottery class or a few sessions at a yoga studio. The point is for your giftee to try something new or, perhaps, learn more about their favorite hobby. Gifts of Experience are nice for adults and children alike. If you have some kiddos to shop for, ask their parents if something like swim lessons, sports camp, or an art class would be a doable option. The last thing you want to give parents is more work so bonus points if you will be the transportation!

While on the subject of asking people about gifts, there really is something to be said for asking in advance about what your giftees would like. This eliminates the potential for them not liking what you purchased and you can give them what they actually want or need. For example, families with small children might appreciate supplies like diapers, formula, or clothing as opposed to even more toys! Pet owners (like myself) could prefer a Chewy gift card over something for themselves. If you don’t ask, you will have no idea. If you are still wanting an element of surprise, try talking to someone close to your giftee for the inside scoop.

The best prezzie of all could be taking something off of your giftee’s plate, which brings us to Favor Gifts. Maybe you will clean their house a few times, volunteer to be a date night babysitter, or even pay for their next oil change. These gifts are designed to make an aspect of adulting easier and we could all use a little less stress. I know I would be thrilled if my gift was a cleaning session at my apartment! ๐Ÿ˜€

There is no rule stating that you have to be an Etsy shop level crafter to give a homemade gift. Although, if you are, then that’s great too! Knitted scarves, socks, or baby booties will be welcome gifts during the winter. How about a photo collage? Maybe a mini portrait of your giftee or their beloved pet? You could put all of the dry ingredients for soup or cookies in a Mason jar, seal it with a bow, and call it a day. Or if you have a giftee that would like to learn your craft, offer a couple tutorial sessions and get them some of the basic essentials needed for a beginner level. And, as a bonus, you will have quality time together.

The best part of the holiday season is sharing it with the ones you love. No one’s saying the gifts aren’t nice, though! ๐Ÿ˜€ Happy shopping!

How is your holiday shopping going? Who is the most difficult person to shop for on your list? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

SO Excited!!!

Hello!! My favorite place in my neck of the woods has got to be Playhouse Square in Cleveland, hands down. I have seen countless amazing shows there with Johnny, friends, and family and have the fondest memories of each and every visit. Playhouse Square dates with Johnny are something I revel in and I consider our Valentine’s Day date of 2023 to be one of the best. That was when we saw Hadestown together and it skyrocketed into one of our all time favorite musicals.

Since seeing the show at Playhouse Square, we must have said over a million times that we would love to see Hadestown again. As fortune would have it, I received an email from EJ Thomas Hall in Akron for their spring lineup and Hadestown was on the bill. Does EJ Thomas hold a candle to Playhouse Square in terms of overall experience? IE: Venue, theater size, visibility of the stage. Absolutely not. But, I saw Jesus Christ Superstar there and it was a phenomenal effort for what it was. In fact, there were some parts of the show that I liked better than the Playhouse Square production of it that Johnny and I saw. (Also one of the best nights ever!!)

Although EJ Thomas isn’t my preferred venue, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity for Johnny and I to enjoy Hadestown once more. I ordered us our tickets this weekend and scored awesome seats: Smack dab in the middle of the third row on the balcony. The best part? We will be seeing it the week after Valentine’s Day so it will be like a do over of our treasured V-Day date two years prior. This past week, I have been really trying to make space in my schedule for fun and purchasing these tickets was the perfect way to dip my toes in the water. We can’t wait!!

If Hadestown is playing in your area, RUN to go see it. You can thank me later when it becomes your favorite musical too. I am so lucky to be able to see this show twice for Valentine’s Day with my main squeeze!

What is your favorite musical? What is the best date you have ever been on? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Exploring Career Options In The Games Industry

It can be a lot of hard work to get into the games industry. But with the right experience and skills, you can join thousands of talented people to create something special. Whether you have a good head for numbers, a logical brain, or are highly creative, there will be something for you:

Video games of all kinds are put together using various disciplines. One of the main things that ties everything together is programming. If you are skilled in programming, you are a valuable asset to a video game developer. From $1 deposit online casino games to the largest AAA franchises, all video game companies need talented programmers. Mathematics and logic are the cornerstones of programming.

Before a game enters creation, it is detailed in a design document. Depending on the game, these can be sparse or richly detailed. Some design docs include concept art, which helps guide the artistic direction of the project. Hand-drawn art is converted to digital art, which is then finalized as 3D artwork. Any kind of artist experience can be helpful in a game development team, and if you can manage 2D and 3D, you will be a precious asset to the team.

Some of the worldโ€™s biggest video game companies require multiple sources of input to get a game finished. Sometimes, this involves hiring a consultancy agency that can provide insights into a subject the dev team doesnโ€™t fully understand. This has become a controversial topic within the gaming community, but you can take control of your career with such a change. But, with a 22% year-on-year opening of new studios, expert input on a range of topics is welcomed.

A game, even a small one, requires expert project management. Some can take a year to complete, and others over ten years, such as Red Dead Redemption 2. The time scale alone requires people experienced with extensive project management, and you can be a massive help to a development team. Most studios would look for people with experience within the games industry. However, you are a suitable candidate if you have similar project experience.

One of the most overlooked and underrated, yet vital parts of a game is music and audio production. Game developers have access to vast libraries of sound, but these are costly and often donโ€™t have what is required. A sound engineer makes a huge difference to a game. For example, most of the audio in the original Tomb Raider game is unique because there were no libraries that had what the team needed. An audio engineering degree can help you get there.

Programming is one of the critical skills a team needs when recruiting candidates to work in the games industry. But it isnโ€™t all about logical skills. You could get hired as a consultant to help with a narrative or participate in art, both visual and audio, to help make the game.

Knee Pain Relief: Breaking Myths And Uncovering Facts

Knee Pain Relief: Breaking Myths And Uncovering Facts

Knee pain – itโ€™s something millions deal with every day, from early morning stiffness to that frustrating ache after a long walk. And while you might be familiar with some causes, thereโ€™s a surprising amount of misinformation out there that can lead to confusion and even prevent you from finding relief. Letโ€™s look at whatโ€™s really going on with knee pain, bust a few myths, and cover some options that could help you feel better without diving straight into surgical treatments. Ready to get to the heart of it?

The knee is a complex joint, with bones, ligaments, tendons, and cartilage all working together. Because of its central role in daily movement whether thatโ€™s climbing stairs, exercising, or just getting up from a chair itโ€™s naturally prone to injury and strain. However, knee pain isnโ€™t always a result of aging or overuse; it can be due to a variety of conditions, each requiring specific approaches to manage.

One of the biggest misconceptions? That knee pain is simply inevitable with age, and nothing can be done about it. While itโ€™s true that age can bring about certain types of pain, such as arthritis knee pain, that doesnโ€™t mean you have to live with discomfort. There are knee pain relief options available to you. With the right knowledge and treatment plan, itโ€™s possible to stay active and enjoy daily life without constant pain:

Misunderstanding knee pain can lead to unnecessary discomfort or even make the issue worse. Letโ€™s break down some common myths that might be holding you back from proper relief.

Myth #1 – Resting Always Helps: While rest is essential for healing after an acute injury, too much rest can actually weaken muscles around the knee, which can lead to further instability and pain. For many, gentle exercises like stretching, swimming, or cycling can actually be beneficial.

Myth #2 – Surgery is the Only Option for Serious Knee Pain: A lot of people think that when knee pain gets intense, surgery is inevitable. But this isn’t always the case! There are non-surgical options that can effectively reduce pain and inflammation, allowing you to avoid or delay surgery. Treatments like physical therapy, targeted exercise, and even newer techniques like genicular artery embolization for arthritis knee pain offers non-invasive options for those looking to relieve pain without going under the knife.

If you are experiencing knee pain, simply enter a search for “orthopedic jacksonville fl” (or your local area) and schedule an appointment with a well reviewed practitioner. Be honest at your appointment if you want to avoid surgery so that your doctor can set you up on the best path of success sans surgical intervention. Keep in mind that surgery might be inevitable for more severe issues. However, regular visits to an orthopedist as soon as you notice pain can help prevent this.

Myth #3 – Pain Always Means Damage: Believe it or not, pain doesnโ€™t always mean thereโ€™s a structural problem with the knee. Sometimes, knee pain can result from muscle imbalances, poor posture, or even issues in other parts of the body, like the hips or feet. This is why targeted assessments and treatments are crucial; they can help identify the real source of the pain, even if itโ€™s not directly in the knee itself.

If youโ€™re dealing with knee pain, you might be relieved to know that there are plenty of non-surgical treatment options to consider. While these wonโ€™t be a perfect solution for everyone, they can offer relief, improve mobility, and delay the need for surgery in many cases. Here are a few popular options to think about:

Physical Therapy: Guided by a professional, physical therapy strengthens the muscles around the knee, improves flexibility, and can restore range of motion. This process builds up the kneeโ€™s stability and can reduce pain significantly over time.

Genicular Artery Embolization (GAE): For those experiencing arthritis knee pain, GAE is an innovative non-surgical option. It works by reducing inflammation in the kneeโ€™s blood vessels, offering relief from pain without the invasiveness of surgery. GAE might be an effective route for people with arthritis knee pain who want to avoid or delay surgical intervention.

Medications: Over-the-counter pain relievers or anti-inflammatories can provide short-term relief. You could also explore other options beyond Advil or Tylenol like compounded ketamine. Ketamine can be used to treat pain for patients who are suffering with knee injury or arthritis. Always consult a healthcare professional for recommendations that fit your needs, especially if youโ€™re dealing with ongoing pain or other health conditions.

Injections: In certain cases, doctors might recommend injections, such as corticosteroids, to reduce inflammation in the knee joint. Another option could be hyaluronic acid injections, which aim to lubricate the joint, providing smoother movement and less pain.

Maintaining knee health is about creating good habits that keep your joints in the best shape possible. Here are some practical steps to help protect and support your knees for the long term:

Stay Active: Regular movement keeps the muscles around your knees strong and flexible. Aim for exercises that donโ€™t put too much strain on the joints, like swimming, cycling, or walking on flat surfaces.

Wear Supportive Shoes: Footwear plays a big role in knee health. Choose shoes that provide the right support, and consider orthotics if you have issues with foot alignment.

Warm Up Properly: Before any physical activity, take a few minutes to warm up. Simple stretches and gentle movements can prevent injury by preparing your muscles and joints for activity.

Practice Good Posture: Avoid slumping or sitting for too long. Good posture can relieve pressure on the knees and help prevent future pain.

Knee pain doesnโ€™t have to be an inevitable part of life. With the right knowledge, tools, and techniques, you can manage and even prevent many common knee issues!

Hoosige Elf Costume Review

Hi everyone!! I am SO excited to start creating content for the holiday season with Tim Misny. We have a ton of fun planned to show off our Misny Merch holiday collection, decor tours, and featuring all things merry and bright. For the festivities, I purchased an elf costume by Hoosige on Amazon and wanted to write a review because I just tried it on. This costume came with six different pieces and was under forty dollars, which will make it a hot seller for holiday celebrations. However, there are definitely some things you should be aware of before clicking on the order button:

elff

^^^ Image by Hoosige

When I am ordering clothing or costumes, I always always check the customer reviews in terms of sizing. Nine times out of ten, these sentiments have steered me in the right direction for a perfect fit. This time – not so much. If you read the Amazon reviews for this costume, almost every person recommended sizing up. So I did. Rather than ordering a small, I went for a medium and I wish I didn’t because the costume was ginormous. Not only was it oversized in width, but it is nowhere near as short as the image will lead you to believe. The dress went to the middle of my calves. With no time to exchange my order, I had to make things work so I gathered the excess in the back and secured it with a hair clip. The moral of the story: Order your regular size and, for once, do not listen to the reviews!

It is also worth mentioning that the socks looked more like sleeves for a shirt and did not fit close to the body at all. I opted to swap mine out for a pair of white, ruffly ankle socks. The shoes also leave a lot to be desired and felt like sanitary coverings. They are not made for outdoor use so if you plan to wear them, put them on after you enter into your destination. I will not be using them and will wear a red pair of heels instead – I need any extra length I can get! I will say that the hat and ears are insanely cute and both stayed nice and secure once on. In fact, they are the only parts of the costume that I don’t have a problem with lol.

Even though I am swimming in this costume, I will be damned if I’m not working it and after some tweaking it did look a lot better. If you plan on ordering one for yourself, just know that it might not be exactly what you had in mind after viewing the product pictures!

Do you have a costume you wear during the holidays? What is your favorite holiday movie? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Take It Easier

Take It Easier

Hello!! The recent election and upcoming holiday season has definitely been causing stress to many, myself included. This time of year often feels like a whirlwind – between wrapping up the calendar year strong at work, shopping for holiday gifts, adjusting to the time change, and attempting to squeeze time in for yourself too. It’s a lot. In fact, I was literally just thinking about how overwhelmed I feel which inspired this post. I came to the conclusion that I need to at least try to Take It Easier and am utilizing the following methods:

One thing that I really struggle with is making time for every single other person and exclude myself. I spend so much time in my own head mentally trying to rearrange my calendar to accommodate to everyone and so be it if I fall by the wayside. The biggest change I have been trying to make is reminding myself constantly that there are only 24 hours in the day. I can’t create more time no matter how much mental Tetris I play with my schedule. With this reminder, I think I have been a lot better about saying no to extra shifts or demands that I am too exhausted to meet. This has been difficult because I am a complete and total people pleaser but I can only do so much and that is okay.

I saw a quote on Facebook that I really liked. It went something or other like this: “If you only had 50% to give today, you still gave it your all”. I’m paraphrasing, but you get the point. Some days, it is just impossible to be firing at 100%. It’s human, so normal, and you shouldn’t beat yourself up about it. As long as you are doing the absolute best you can regardless of being at 100% or not, you still did your best that day – even if you weren’t feeling it.

I don’t know about all of you, but I am very guilty of eating breakfast or lunch while working. Sometimes it’s a necessary evil and you can’t do anything about it. However, if you can, you should utilize your breaks every day because that is what they’re intended for – giving yourself a break. As often as I can throughout the week, I give myself twenty minutes for breakfast and for lunch. During that time, I will watch an episode of Degrassi and get back at it afterwards. I always return to work feeling refreshed from having a little breather. Remember that some days, you might need to give yourself more breaks if you are feeling burnt out and that’s okay too. For example, if I have a particularly long day at the computer, I will break a few times to do some Tai Chi and work out the kinks from sitting in an uncomfortable chair lol.

When you stop spreading yourself so thin, you might face negativity from the people who benefited from it. In the past handful of weeks alone, I have certainly had several guilt trips and it has sucked. I legit felt SO bad about it to the point of almost adding things back into my schedule and running myself ragged. Don’t do this!! If you succumb to guilt trips, you are going to be right back where you started. It might be hard, but be firm when you say no. It will leave no possibility for interpretation and will introduce people to whatever new normal you are trying to create for yourself. If you are getting any guff from anyone, then they might not have your best interests at heart. And, remember, you never, ever have to justify or explain when you’re doing what’s best for you.

I have been trying to decrease my stress and increase time for me these past few weeks and it has been really… stressful lol. The hardest part has definitely been the guilt trips. As I adjust to my new normal, I will continue to use my new mantras and mindset and keep moving forward. It’s the best thing for me and that’s the best!

Would you consider yourself to be a people pleaser? What changes have you made in your life to decrease stress? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Lil Red Jacket OOTD Bloopers

Hello everyone and welcome to the Blooper Reel from my Lil Red Jacket OOTD! I don’t know about all of you, but I have been So. Freaking. Tired. I feel overworked and over stressed and by the time last weekend rolled around, I was over it. Other than a lovely dinner out with our favorite downstairs neighbor on Friday, Johnny and I did a whole lot of nothing. The only thing in my books was taking pictures on Saturday and I was able to rouse Johnny from the coach to accomplish my goal. Like the blog husband he is, he went outside in his pajamas to make it happen! #blessed I was definitely looking as yikes as I felt in these shots:

IMG_0741

Being self employed has so many perks and, to me, there is nothing better than being able to do my own thing every day. The downside? When I don’t do my own thing every day, I don’t get paid. I am the absolute WORST at taking time off for myself. Legit the only times I do are when I am sick or during family emergencies so it’s never particularly a fun day off lol. As a major positive, I adore my jobs and am happy to give my all each time I punch the clock. I’d be a liar if I didn’t say that I can’t freaking wait for holiday breaks, though!

After an exhausting handful of weeks, I pulled up the calendar on my phone and decided to give myself something to look forward to… plotting my Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks (and dinner plates, let’s be real!). Normally, I don’t take lengthy breaks during the holiday season. This year, I am treating myself baby!! I have mapped out my vacations to give myself the time and permission to do whatever I want. Whether that be lounging for two days straight, hang outs with friends, and staying up and sleeping in late. Just the promise alone of a work free agenda has been intoxicating and it really perked me up. ๐Ÿ™‚

I am in the holiday home stretch. In a handful of weeks it will be sweet freedom and I am motivated to cross the finish line to the best of my ability and enjoy a much deserved rest!

Is it hard for you to take time off of work? Do you have plans for your holiday breaks? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah
