Hi! Treating myself to my favorite bath and body care is one of my favorite things to do, which is why I love shopping with Bath & Body Works. When you shop their sales or their amazing semi annual sale, you can score the best deals and I always look forward to replenishing my beauty care hoard with them. What’s more, they are constantly sending coupons in the mail for freebies and percentages off your purchase. This past week, I picked up this super handy September freebie:
Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, there is no better freebie than a pocket sized hand sanitizer! When it came to picking out which scent I wanted for my hand sani, it was important to me to find one with a fairly neutral scent. The last hand sanitizer by B&BW that I picked out years ago was a fall fragrance but it was so overly pungent that I never wanted to use it. While there were more exciting scents to choose from, I ended up with Be A Good Human, which is a simple citrus fragrance.
This pocket sized hand sanitizer is ideal for being on the go since it fits so comfortably on your person or in your purse. Although it was an inexpensive freebie, I was so happy with it and thought that it was a great idea on B&BW’s part. I will definitely be using my Be A Good Human sanitizer often and plan on purchasing it again once I run out!

Helloooo everyone! As you all know, Lil Red is all about free stuff. But, I didn’t want to say stuff, I wanted to say SHIT. So, yes, Lil Red is all about free shit. I am a member of a lot of different rewards programs that are always very generous when a birthday rolls around and I spend the month of June cashing in on it. So, if you have any of the following stores or eateries in your area, be sure to sign up for their rewards programs so you can be treated on your birthday, too!
- Sephora Beauty Insider Kat Von D or Drunk Elephant mini gift set
- Free burrito from Moe’s
- Free small smoothie from Robek’s
- Free beverage of any size from Dunkin’ Donuts
- Free cinnamon sticks from Pizza Hut
- Free beverage from Starbucks
- Free Grand Slam breakfast from Denny’s
- Free dessert from Olive Garden
Altogether, these birthday freebies total out to at least forty dollars, making the sometimes annoyingness of signing up for an app or reward card completely worth it.
Which other stores or restaurants offer freebies or deals on your birthday? Which rewards program do you use the most? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah
Howdy! When it comes to my birthday, I always try to cash in on the freebies that are offered through rewards programs at my favorite stores and eateries. As a Beauty Insider for Sephora, that means I get to pick a freebie birthday gift between two mini gift sets. This year, the choice was between a Kat Von D liquid liner, loose powder, and lipstick samples or a cleanser and moisturizer by Drunk Elephant. Because I don’t use liquid liner or any type of powder, I went with the Drunk Elephant option seen below:
I have never used any Drunk Elephant products before, but I’ve heard nothing but good things about it so I am looking forward to giving my freebies a try. I can always use moisturizers and cleansers, too, so even if these don’t last me very long it will be a few days of using something that I didn’t actually buy. And, for a frugal gal like me, this is always a plus! Although I wasn’t too thrilled with the birthday gift choices from Sephora this year, free is free, and maybe I will have found a new favorite brand!
What did you choose for your Sephora birthday gift? Have you ever used the Drunk Elephant brand before? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah
Hiii! When I need a reup on my beauty and skin care supplies, I hit up TJMaxx, rinse, and repeat. Their beauty aisle is chock full of good stuff where I have discovered my favorites from The Body Shop as well as trying out new brands that I usually end up loving. Thanks to rewards points from the TJMaxx/Homegoods/Marshall’s credit card, I had twenty bucks to spend to stock up and got all of the following products FO FREE. Check it out:
I was super happy with the haul seen above because I got products that I needed, like a new charcoal bar and scrub. But, I also got to add to my supplies when it comes to serum and moisturizer so it was a very successful shopping trip overall. What I am most excited about, though, is the Azure Lux Rose Gold serum, which I love so very very much. After using this wonder serum up in February, I vowed to purchase it again if I ever came across it. So, I was thrilled to make good on my word because that serum really is the best and leaves your skin simply glowing.
I am looking forward to trying out my new scrub come my next shaving sesh, because the Lavender Coconut scent is divine and I have also never tried a coffee scrub before! The value of this bottle was great, too, because it’s huge and I got it for a whole six bucks. And, in the beauty world, all I am hearing about is all Manuka honey everything so I’m definitely eager to give my new moisturizer a try after I finish up my current jar. Thank you, TJMaxx! 😀
Where do you get all of your beauty and skin care products at? How do you shop beauty on a budget? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah
Hi everyone and TGIF! Another month brings another Bath & Body Works freebie to add to my body care hoard. I’ve grown pretty fond of using my coupon for a free travel sized product to get a shower gel mini as of late. They are perfect (obviously) for overnight trips and vacations but they are also nice for when you feel like switching things up from your normal full sized body washes. Take a look at my mini shower gel steal and let’s discuss:
Lol. Yeah. I did get Japanese Cherry Blossom. Despite this scent reminding me of my grade school’s locker room at gym class, I just couldn’t help myself from grabbing it. This soft and pretty but not too sweet floral fragrance spoke to me for some reason and I just couldn’t resist the bright red coloring of the shower gel!
I normally select my freebies with gift giving in mind, because they make for perfect present add ons. However, this shower gel is all for me. It would be sinful for anyone but Lil Red to use it, after all. 😉
So there you have it, my October Bath & Body Works Freebie. What is a scent that you love to hate? Which B&BW fragrances are your faves? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah
Hi everyone and happy Tuesday! I’ve been frequenting Walgreens a few times within the past few months because they are the only store in my area that still carries my beloved Vidal Sassoon hair dye. Normally, when I stop in the store, I just take the lot of how ever many boxes of the Runway Red color that they have so that I’ll have a healthy amount on back stock if, god forbid, anything happens to the Vidal Sassoon London Luxe collection.
When I went into the store over the weekend, I was treated to a beauty goodie bag full of amazing coupons and samples just for buying what I was going to purchase, anyway. Not only that, but because I have their reward card, I got five dollars added on to it for my next hair dye purchase. Clearly, I picked the right day to restock my hair dye! Take a look at the spoils of my goodie bag:
When the cashier handed me the bag, it was literally filled to the brim with freebies. I was so curious as to what was in it that I couldn’t wait till I was home to open it, so I sat in my car and was blown away at the contents of the bag, which included:
- Crest Whitening Therapy tooth paste
- Olay retinal eye cream
- CeraVe complexion bar
- Aveeno lotion
- Jergens lotion
- Pocket mirror
- FAT stack of coupons
- Lotion samples
- Whitening strips
- 3 packets of various shampoos and conditioners
- Moisturizer samples
- Hair, skin, and nails gummie samples
- And more!
I had a blast showing off the contents of my bag at home and dividing up the booty to my family, since there were quite a few things that I don’t use. I’ve never been “anti Walgreens” but this amazing freebie surprise definitely makes me feel more inclined to shop there more often. Now, if only Target and TJMaxx would start giving away goodie bags like this! #wishfulthinking
So there you have it, my Walgreens Freebie Bag! What would you like to try from the goodie bag that I received? Which store gives away the best freebies and coupons? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah
