Working from home is often an enjoyable experience if you’ve made the right preparations. However, it can become a real pain if you haven’t. There are lots of things to consider, most of which you won’t identify until you start. However, you’ll find some fantastic ideas on this page that could help you to get things sorted ahead of time. There aren’t many jobs around today that you can perform from your house, and so you should feel lucky. Most people have to deal with at least a little morning commute, but you can work in your underwear. Remember that if you ever feel like working from home has become too much of a hassle. It is always easier than going into the office!
Create a Suitable Working Space: If you’re earning money from the comfort of your spare bedroom, you’re probably using a laptop. That means you need to buy a desk, office accessories, and an ergonomic chair to create a professional workstation. Experts like those at http://www.stuartdavid.com/ understand how critical it is to get things right. While you might like the idea of sitting on your sofa, that will result in productivity issues. In most instances, it’s possible to shorten your working day by completing your jobs as quickly as possible. That is never going to happen if you’re getting distracted by the TV all of the time. Do yourself a favor and invest in some office equipment today before you start getting stressed out.
Get yourself a desk and do work!
Make Sure You Have an Active WiFi Connection: Earning your living outside of the office probably means you use the internet, too. There is nothing more frustrating than trying to complete tasks when your connection keeps dropping. For that reason, you need to invest in a decent router as soon as possible. Writers from http://www.thesmartfuture.net/ and similar websites have all the knowledge you require. So, you just need to spend some time reading online reviews to guarantee you find the best products. You can also purchase WiFi boosters or change your service provider if you think that will help. At the end of the day, you just want to work uninterrupted.
Have Some Quiet Time From the Kids: As we mentioned a moment ago, trying to work with the TV blaring is never a good idea. Likewise, earning your living while there are children in the house will become frustrating. You need peace and quiet to complete your tasks and fill your bank account. So, you might have to make alternative childcare arrangements during the summer holidays. It’s not too much of an issue when your little ones are out of the house for seven hours every day. However, they will begin to drive you crazy if they’re under your feet while you’re working!
Everyone who works from home should benefit from the advice on this page. So, make sure you put it to good use before it’s too late. There is nothing worse than feeling stressed and knowing that you have to keep working. If you put some of these ideas into practice, that shouldn’t happen too often. We hope you have an excellent Christmas and we look forward to seeing you in the new year! 🙂

Hi everyone and happy Hump Day! I was recently nominated for my third One Lovely Blog Award by my dear friend, Nikki, over at: akinderway. I always enjoy my interactions with Miss Nikki and her blog is a real gem, so make sure you give her page some love! I have so much fun making award nomination posts and it makes for an easy day of blogging so thank you to all of my friends who have nominated lifewithlilred! As always, there are some rules that come with the awards so check them out and then let’s get started:
- Thank the person that nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
- List the rules.
- Display the award on your post.
- List seven facts about yourself.
- Nominate (up to) 15 bloggers for this award and comment on one of their posts to let them know you have nominated them.
All About Me:
- I’m currently writing this post while sipping coffee and taking a homework break. I always drink my coffee out of a sweet little mug with a koala bear being floated away by a bundle of balloons and it says “Have an up kind of day”. I think it’s the cutest thing ever!
- This isn’t really a fun fact but right now the water in my shower isn’t draining very quickly. On Sunday I dyed my hair with my beloved Vidal Sassoon’s Runway Red and by the time I exited my shower the water was halfway up my calf and blood red. It was really disgusting but insanely cool.
- The last movie I watched was The Interview. My sister and I haven’t seen that movie in forever and laughed like crazy the entire time! I love love LOVE James Franco! Hubba hubba.
- My boyfriend and I recently entered the “Canton’s Cutest Couple” contest for a local radio station – not that I buy in to any of that stuff but a free dinner would be nice!
- My socks are matching for once today, which deserves an award in itself.
- I’ve become really fond of eating at Moe’s and have decided that I like them better than Chipotle. #WELCOMETOMOES
- I’ll find anything you say infinitely funnier if you end it with “#blessed”.
My Nominees (I’m only doing three):
Once again, thank you so much to Nikki at akinderway for my third One Lovely Blog Award and congrats to my nominees! What are some fun facts about yourself? Do you have any weekend plans that you’re looking forward to? I wanna hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah
Helloooo everyone and happy Tuesday! Good news: I’m feeling much better after this past weekend’s concussion catastrophe and now everything is smooth sailing as usual. My fall semester at Tri-C will be done in about a month or so and let me tell you, I am SO ready for it! I have officially hit the end of semester slump so hard to the point that I had to motivate myself with buying a Starbucks drink yesterday before class to get myself to go, haha it’s that bad! 😉
I’m currently taking French I, Comparative World Religions, and History of Civilization this semester and have already completed a half semester Ethics course. My classes are alright for the most part aside from History. It’s a half a semester course as well and I have such an ungodly amount of homework to do each week for it…It sucks. I do like history, but the only reason I decided to take the class was because it was a prerequisite for a course specifically about WWII, which is my favorite thing to learn about. But unfortunately, when I went to schedule my spring classes I found out that the course was not offered online and it can only be taken on a campus that’s even farther than the forty minute drive I already make to my campus. I was SO PISSED! Had I known that, I would have never signed up for the history class to begin with and stuck with something that I really enjoy like Psychology or Theater.
Speaking of the spring semester, I am very excited for the classes that I registered for last week. I’ll be taking French II, Abnormal Psychology, and Introduction to Criminology. I’m looking forward to continuing my work in French and I’m lucky because my current French professor is teaching French II and I just love her! It will definitely be nice to be able to pick up where we left off in the fall. As I mentioned earlier, I love Psychology so I was so excited to see that Tri-C offers a course on all of the strange and unusual that goes on in the brain with Abnormal Psychology. I also was pretty pumped to see that an Introduction to Criminology course was offered from a sociological stand point so it was a no brainer to sign up for that too!
Other than my semi-boring history course, my fall semester has treated me very well. I’ve been repping straight A’s for days and made myself an awesome spring schedule to look forward to next semester! Then by the end of next fall, I’ll be officially graduated with my Associate of Arts degree! Yippy!
You know how I said my history course has an ungodly amount of homework? Yeah, this post may or may not be a procrastination tactic on that so I guess I should probably get to it! I hope all of you are having a fantastic week so far! Where are all of my college kids at? How is your fall semester going? I wanna hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah
Howdy everyone and happy Monday! So as you may have noticed, I had an unannounced MIA hiatus this weekend that was purely unintentional. This Monday Update will shed some light on where Lil Red was hiding out at and inform you about all of the other exciting news that I have to share! Enjoy some tunes to hype you up this morning and then let’s discuss:
Last Friday rolled around and things were going just PEACHY. I was working on some homework, sippin on that Arizona green tea, and living my life like the baller I am. And then…something went wrong. I tried to print an assignment with the household wireless printer and unfortunately it didn’t work. I pressed the “print” button at least seventy-three more times only to find that my button clicking effort was made in vain. So I did what any normal twenty-one year old would do…I called my mom for help. #MOMMMMMMMM
Mother dearest entered the dining room on a “fix the printer” mission and that was when things took a turn for the worse. Good ol’ mom began to utilize the classic technique of pressing buttons and unplugging and replugging cords back into the sockets. With all of the powering off and on and pressing every button that looked helpful, the internet ended up shutting down entirely. Don’t ask me how, because I don’t know. And quite frankly, it probably wasn’t even my mom’s fault but everyone at home is enjoying telling her that she broke the internet so we’re just gonna go with it! 😉
Thanks to my mother breaking the internet, I was without the world wide web for the weekend. This prevented me from doing homework, answering to possible clients to write for on Facebook, and most importantly keeping in touch with all of you! But thanks to a handy helper from our chosen internet company, things are back in business at the Lil Red residence. So no, I didn’t make a spur of the moment road trip to Utah or have an unfortunate twenty-four hour flu that left me bedridden…I was just MIA because my internet was down. OH THE CALAMITY! #firstworldproblems
In other news:
- Yesterday was my one month anniversary with my boyfriend, Kyle, so that’s nice! One month went by really quickly and things are going just swimmingly – so keep your fingers crossed for a bitch that they stay that way!
- Everything at school is also going really well, too! My classes are swell, my grades are rockin, and I have no complaints!
- I have a lot of really cool potential clients that might be featured on lifewithlilred, so keep your eyes peeled for more info on that!
- Oh, and like my Facebook page, THANKS! https://www.facebook.com/lifewithlilred?fref=ts
- And this one, too! THANKS AGAIN! https://www.facebook.com/britsphotographs?fref=ts
^^^ Basically my face all weekend. #shameful
So there you have it, this week’s Monday Update: Unintentional MIA Edition! I hope all of you had a great weekend and an even better start to your week! What was the craziest thing that happened to you this weekend? Who has a case of the Mondays today? I wanna hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah
Heyyy everyone and happy Tuesday! It’s been a solid morning of homeworking and coffee drinking, so I figured now would be a perfect time to take a study break and touch base with all of you before I continue on with my day. I’m really REALLY fucking tired today. Did I tell you guys that I’m completely out of both my sleeping pills and my antidepressant? If not…I’m completely out of my sleeping pills and antidepressant. -__- So I haven’t been sleeping much these past few days and now that I’m not on any of the pills that I’ve been taking daily for the past few years I’ve been feeling some awful withdrawal symptoms. Now on top of being exhausted from not having a decent night of sleep since last week, I feel like I have the flu but really it’s just medication withdrawal. I feel dehydrated, weak, and really disoriented…It’s not a good feeling. I’ve been up and running since nine o’clock this morning, but I already feel like I’m ready for bed and it’s barely after noon. #FML On the bright side, I treated myself to some Starbucks this morning after getting my brother to work compliments of the gift card that my nail tech got me for my birthday. If you haven’t tried the cold brewed coffee from Sbux then you need to get on it pronto. It’s a little bit more expensive than the classic iced coffee BUT it’s a million times better so it’s so worth it! When you get iced coffee from Starbucks it can be a very hit or miss experience. Sometimes your drink is awesome and other times it tastes like you’re drinking coffee that’s been sitting in a toilet for a week straight. Lucky for me, I haven’t had a disappointing drink experience ever since Starbucks introduced the cold brewed coffee and it was a nice pick me up to start off my day with coffee that I didn’t have to make. #TREATYOSELF
My Social Psychology course started yesterday and I can’t complain too much about it. Like a lot of my other classes it’s just a lot of text book reading which can get kind of boring, but that’s okay! It gets the job done and I’m still learning a lot! After this little check in I have quite a bit more to do and then I’m going to meet up with my darling Lea for a quick mid afternoon hang out. Seeing her will probably result in us getting coffee because I feel like a straight up zombie. It’s so frustrating because sleep is something that comes so easily to most people but unfortunately it’s a struggle and a half for me. Last night for example, I was totally exhausted but I couldn’t catch a solid few hours of sleep to save my life. It seemed like as soon as I dozed off I would wake up and then it would take an eternity to get myself back to sleep again. This vicious cycle has been occurring every night since last Wednesday and it’s complete hell. Whatever. -___-
Alrightie, I need to get back to work but I will talk to you all soon! Does anyone have any tried and true methods that help you fall asleep? I wanna hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -A very sleepy Sarah
