New Light Pink & Gold Glitter Nails

New Light Pink & Gold Glitter Nails

Hellooo everyone! This past week, I treated myself to a new set of acrylics. The ones that I had been wearing for over a half a year or so were getting pretty flimsy and it feels so good to have some nice, sturdy new nails again. And, did I mention that they’re pretty?! I went with a springy color palette and am in love with the soft pink and shock of glitter that I chose. Check it out:

nails

I recently painted one of my client’s nails with a pale pink similar to the color that I went with and I was obsessed. So, I decided that that shade definitely had to be used once I was able to get my nails done. Light pink is so lovely for spring and it reminds me of one of my favorite flowers – pink hyacinths! The gold accent nail compliments it nicely, too, and is reminiscent of golden foil wrapped chocolate eggs for Easter. 😀

And, as always, Elysian Nails did a wonderful job with my talons. I honestly can’t believe I ever went to a different salon, because this one is the real deal. Amazing techs, gorgeous set up, and fair prices – it can’t be beat and I am so happy to have finally found a salon that I love!

What color of polish do you have on right now? What is your favorite spring flower? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

New Cherry & Cream Nails

Hello!! This past Thursday, I enjoyed a much needed fill at my wonderful salon, Elysian Nails. Seriously, I can’t rave enough about that place. It is so posh, the nail techs are brilliant, and the prices are amazing. I always leave there feeling like a million bucks while only spending a fraction of what I used to pay to get my nails did. This time around, I chose a cherry vanilla motif and ended up with these beauties. Take a look:

cherry

For the first time ever, I have red nails and I am so in love! It took long enough to go with nails the color of my namesake, but it was worth the wait because these are fabulous. My talons are nice and sharp and the deep cherry color along with the nude accent nail feels so lux and elegant. This color combination is edgy in a different way. I still feel like the queen of the underworld as I did with my black nails but now I feel like the queen of everything else, too!

Thanks, Elysian Nails! ❤

What color of polish do you have on right now? Which colors should I get next? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Bling Bling!

Bling Bling!

Hiii everyone! During my last trip to Pittsburgh, I got the microblading on my eyebrows touched up and finally got some tooth gems on my teeth by my fabulous cousin, Laura, the owner of La Marie Brow Club. I have wanted the adorable bling bling on my teeth for months now and I was so happy to be able to get it done! I love the extra sparkle they give to my smile and I just had to share a pic with all of you:

gems

The tooth gems that Laura applies are a totally pain free body mod and can last up to six months on your pearly whites. They are such a fun way to treat yourself to something new without going as extreme as a piercing or tattoo. If you are a fan of the bling, the tooth gems are a must – and also microblading. Peep those eyebrows, baby!

It was so nice to be pampered in Laura’s amazing studio and I left feeling like a million bucks. Be on the look out for a post on the microblading touch up soon! 😀

How do you incorporate some bling into your look? What is your favorite way to treat yourself? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

A Brief Explanation:

Pics 1 & 2: Ain’t nothing wrong with a little no makeup day! There was a time in my life where I wouldn’t be caught dead with no makeup on, so it feels good to be able to walk around in a fresh face and feel confident about it.

Pic 3: On my way to my sister’s baby shower! Valerie Jane will be here before we know it and I am so excited to be a TT to my little niece!

Pic 4: Finally feeling better after a month of oral surgery BULLSHIT! I believe that I took this pic on my first official day back at work so I had to show out.

Pic 5: Lots of tattoos! I have twenty-five now and am constantly getting more, more, more. 😀

Pic 6: One of my clients got a new St. Bernard puppy named Groot! He is the goodest boy and his St. Bernard big brother, Max, has been showing him the ropes of doghood. So cute I can’t even.

New Hot Pink & Gold Glitter Nails

Hiiii everyone! Last week, I got my talons filled and sharpened and went for a color that I never thought I would before… Hot pink! As I walked into the salon and went to pick out my polish, this gorgeous shade of bright and bold pink spoke to me and, trust and believe, that I listened. And, a glittery twenty-four karat gold accent nail to top it off didn’t look too bad, either! Take a look:

pinkk1

I feel crazy even saying this, because I am anything but a pink girl. However, I think these might be my favorite nails yet! The hot pink and gold combination is just pure fun. The super shiny pink and the sparkling glitter look so lux and I feel like these are the ultimate Barbie nails.

My new nails make me smile every time I look at them, because they make me feel so good! I tried something super out of my comfort zone and, like it normally does, it paid off completely. The colors are girly as can be, but the sharp shape is still rocker and cool. Kind of like me, I suppose. 100/10 would definitely get again!

What color of nail polish do you have on? Did you get your nails done for Valentine’s Day? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

If The Shoe Fits: B.A.I.T. Pt. 2 Edition

If The Shoe Fits: B.A.I.T. Pt. 2 Edition

Helloooo everyone and welcome to the last issue of If The Shoe Fits, compliments of my shoe haul from ModCloth. I saved my favorite of the three for last – a gorgeous pair of knee high boots by B.A.I.T.. I have had my eye on these boots for literal years and I could not pass them up once the price was right. For one hundred and five dollars off, I got these boots for thirty bucks and I absolutely cannot wait to break them out once all of the dirty snow and slush melts away in my neck of the woods! Take a look and let’s discuss:

bait5bait6bait8bait7

I am completely LIVING for these flower child, straight out of the seventies, chocolate brown, heeled boots. Aside from being very well made, the detailing with the embroidered flowers is divine. All of the color combinations in each bloom pairs so well with the brown base color and, although there’s many different shades, the flowers seem to compliment each other perfectly. Normally, I am not a brown shoe type of girl but, my goodness, how can you not be with a pair this fun?!

I don’t plan on wearing my new B.A.I.T. boots with my massive collection of black bottoms, because that would be doing them a huge disservice. Rather, they are going to be strictly short shorts, skirts, and dresses boots to add a retro vibe to my OOTDs in three seasons. Trust and believe that these babies will never be touched by Ohio snow. Now, if only it would all melt away so I can wear them ASAP! 😀

How would you style these boots? What is your favorite era of fashion? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

If The Shoe Fits: B.A.I.T. Edition

Hiii everyone and welcome to another issue of If The Shoe Fits! It’s been a while since I’ve had a good shoe haul, there’s no denying that. It’s also true that I really don’t need any more shoes, there’s no denying that. But, ModCloth’s warehouse sale was too good to pass up, and I walked away with three pairs of shoes for just under one hundred dollars. If I bought them all at their original price, it would have been an over three hundred dollar purchase! Like I said, it was a sale that was way too good to pass up. Take a look at these fun mules by B.A.I.T. and let’s discuss:

bait1bait3bait4bait2

Sweet daisies, mustard yellow, and a heeled mule make these new shoes the epitome of 1970’s feel good vibes. So retro and too cute for words, I just couldn’t say no to them. ModCloth has always been a haven for vintage and retro inspired duds and I think that these B.A.I.T. mules perfectly embody the style story that they are going for. I feel like I could see these shoes on the racks of a vintage store, but I love that I got them brand spanking new!

I can picture wearing these B.A.I.T. beauties with my dark wash denim A-line skirt that zips up the front and a black cropped sweater with a rainbow on it from Forever 21 for a sassy look that’s straight out of the 1970’s. So fun!

^^^ Love!! Can’t wait for the weather to get warm to bust this OOTD out.

Wig Hair Trends For 2019

Wig Hair Trends For 2019

Going bald is no longer the only option for women with alopecia and other conditions. With the plethora of options available for wigs, women can enjoy the latest beauty trends with all of the flair of their hair-growing sisters. Here are some of the latest trends of wigs for women in 2019:

Glossy Hair:

Moving from Instagram to the mainstream populace, glossy hair is a super shiny finish on hair. Wigs are easy to style, clean, and care for. This trend is easy to do with the wigs for women with alopecia Chicago. Use on a new one or one you already own.

Blunt Bobs:

The blunt bob is back thanks to celebrities such as Karlie Kloss and Kendall Jenner. Wig companies are matching the style of the shorter version of the mid-length boyfriend bob for a sassy and chic look.

Big Hair:

Bring back not the big hair of the ‘80s but the pumped-up volume of the ‘60s. Style long or medium length with a round brush and blow dryer to achieve maximum lift at the roots. A simple style to achieve with your wig.

Long Layers:

Long layers seem to always be in fashion. Longer layers are available for you to capitalize on the flowing locks of your dreams. Available in super straight or multi-layered, long hair is now a mainstay in the wig industry.

Lovely Lilac:

Lilac is the trendy new color in hair. Many wig companies are offering bolder and brighter colors to match the mainstream hair industry. Whether you go pastel or jewel toned, this hair packs a punch!

Grey Hair:

Grey is growing in popularity and not just among older women. The age-inclusive color has been used as a highlight, wash, and in stripes for various effects. You can be any age to take advantage of the classically cool color.

Wig manufacturers work hard to match the latest styles and trends. If you’re looking to update, buy a new one, or it’s your first purchase, then follow these latest hair trends for inspiration!

Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Swatch In Red Heels

Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Swatch In Red Heels

Hiii everyone and welcome to the second swatch from my Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire collection samples. We are going to be looking at a gorgeous shade of red appropriately titled Red Heels. And, let me tell you, the glossy shine is so reminiscent of a brand spanking new pair of patent leather red stilettos and I am LIVING for it! Take a look and let’s discuss:

guerlain1guerlain2heelsheels1heels2

After falling head over heels for the other sample color in Pink Tie yesterday, I was so excited to give this luscious red a try. And, it definitely did not disappoint. These colors are my first stint at taking a closer look at gloss lippies and, once I got it in my head that it’s going to be a different look than my preferred matte, I was definitely more willing to like something new.

Lil Red is all about rich, saturated colors. And, I think that’s why I always go for matte lipsticks. I like that the color completely covers your lips while a gloss kind of just lays over top of it. I love these Guerlain colors and I think that a gloss would be a nice change of pace when I’m on the go at work, because it’s not so super done up. And, I can totally see myself applying it in my car mirror at a red light. Red lip gloss worn in a little red car? Ugh, forget about it! But, at the end of the day, it will always be all about the matte. Nevertheless, here’s to trying a new product!

Which Guerlain shade do you like better, Pink Tie or Red Heels? What lip products do you prefer to wear at work? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Swatch In Pink Tie

Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire Swatch In Pink Tie

Howdy! In my most recent Sephora haul, I chose a fragrance and some little pods of lipstick as my free samples. I love when they have lippie samples as an option, because they are so much fun to try out and swatch for the ol’ blog. Today, we will be looking at one of the two colors that came in my sample pack from Guerlain’s La Petite Robe Noire collection in Pink Tie. And (Shockingly!) I think I like it! Take a look and let’s discuss:

guerlain1guerlain2guerlain3guerlain4guerlain6

Okay, we all know that I am so not a pink lipstick girl. But, for some reason, I really really like this Guerlain lippie. It reminds me so much of my watermelon pink Clinique Chubby Stick if the color were more prominent and I’m looking forward to experimenting with it. Unfortunately, this color just doesn’t scream winter weather to me, so trying it out will probably involve me putting it on and immediately taking it off. But, I can totally picture Pink Tie being perfect with a darling dress in the spring and some daring short shorts in the summer. This shade is fun, poppy, and it’s not red – that’s for sure.

And, another thing that it’s not: MATTE. We also all know that I’m so not a glossy lipstick girl. But, for some reason, I really really like the shiny punch of pink. The other shade that came in my sample pod is a gorgeous red called Red Heels and I think that that glossy pop is going to be killer for an upcoming Valentine’s Day post. Keep your eyes peeled!

It’s no secret that Sephora’s free samples are the best. It’s always fun to try something new – and it’s always better when you end up liking the new thing that you tried! 😀

Are you a glossy or matte girl? What is the perfect shade of lippie for Valentine’s Day? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah
