Deja Vu OOTD

Deja Vu OOTD

Hello! I couldn’t wait to take OOTD pictures after getting my hair done and I knew exactly what I wanted to wear. Normally when I shoot outfits, I want to style something brand new every time. However, I had a perfect outfit to show off my new do that had already been worn way back in 2021! Regardless of the deja vu of shooting it again, I didn’t care one bit because I felt like a star. This look is also a really good visual for mixing and matching patterns by pulling from the same color palette and pairing one bold pattern with a minimal one. Check it out:

Striped Sweater: Cynthia Rowley, TJMaxx

Plaid High Rise Skinnies: Sound & Style, TJMaxx

Plaid Platforms: Dolls Kill

Sparkle Earrings: SugarFix By BaubleBar, Target

There are some outfits that you just feel SO good in and this is the one for me. In the original post, my sister told me I looked like a Bratz doll when I wore it and that compliment has stayed with me. 1) They were my absolute favorites growing up. And 2) Who doesn’t want to be a Bratz girl?! This look is quirky and demands confidence to pull it off and I found myself not walking but STRUTTING when I wore it this past weekend. As I mentioned above, I felt like a star in this look and received star treatment at my go to gas station…

I always say that if you’re feeling low, get yourself dolled up and hit up your local gas station. You have the Lil Red Guarantee that you will be complimented so much that your spirits will be lifted. That was very much the case when I went to the Mapco up the road to get some of my beloved Diet Coke. I kid you not, every single person complimented me and I even got free Skittles from the cashiers lol. NICE! I was literally on cloud nine for the rest of the day.

It felt amazing to have this look be appreciated because it is loud, bold, and might not be everyone’s cup of tea. The thing is, is that I felt great in it and it showed. As the old saying goes, don’t let the clothes wear you and it’s so true. When your natural confidence shines, you could be wearing the craziest OOTD or a potato sack and it would still work. So wear what you like and wear what you want because when your fabulous self shows out like the king or queen you are, everyone is going to notice. Embrace your inner and outer beauty and don’t apologize for it. It will transform any outfit into a runway moment!

This is my “I’m a star, damnit” OOTD and I loved every minute of wearing it. This is your sign to go for it if you are questioning an outfit choice. I promise that you look fierce AF!

What is an outfit that makes you feel amazing? What makes you feel confident? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

September 2025 Finishes

Hello everyone! Holy cow, we are into October which means it’s time to discuss my beauty finishes from this past month. This was a particularly good month because I would happily use all of the empties again that we are about to see. GREAT SUCCESS! I don’t know about all of you, but October is the best time ever for me. It’s spooky season, baby, and I can’t wait to do ALL of the fall things. It’s also fabulous from a beauty standpoint too because you know your girl loves an apple fragrance – my favorite! Now, let’s do this thing because we have a lot of skin care inspo to expand on:

Would I Use Again?

Bath & Body Works Starfruit Sangria Body Cream: YES

ValJean Labs Radiant Glow Face Scrub: YES!!!!!!!!

Bath & Body Works Strawberry Pound Cake Body Cream: YES

Elf Holy Hydration Moisturizer: YES

Dr. Wellness Collagen Moisturizer: YES

Why/Why Not?

ValJean Labs Scrub: I started using this scrub at the beginning of May and it took me until September 30th to finish it. I so wish I had more because this Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid scrub was the truth. Obviously, it was an amazing value as I got five months of use out of it and I enjoyed it every day. This scrub was very gentle but effective despite its lack of grit. Sometimes scrubs just feel like you’re shredding your skin and I loved that this one had a cream based formula. My skin looked radiant, was smooth as can be, and the cost per use for a five dollar bottle can’t be beat. A dime sized dollop went a very long way. Highly recommend!

Elf Moisturizer: Holy wow was this Holy Hydration moisturizer a delight. My mom gave me this sample jar and, like the scrub, a little went a long way. It took me over a week of twice daily use to finish it and that’s awesome for such a small size. I love Elf products and the Holy Hydration moisturizer is easily one of their best and most popular. Try it for yourself and you can see why! This moisturizer is seriously as light as air on the skin but provides such rich hydration. It also absorbs really quickly so you can feel its effects immediately with a rush so noticeable it’s like splashing water on your face. I need to get me a bigger jar!

Dr. Wellness Moisturizer: The Dr. Wellness Collagen Moisturizer was a REALLY good one and I was so sad when I completed the jar after a month and a half of twice daily use. It was an excellent value, smelled like freshly falling rain, and I definitely noticed a positive effect on my skin. I sometimes find that collagen products make my skin feel dry but this one both tightened and hydrated in a major way. My skin felt firm and was insanely soft to boot. I hope I find it again at TJMaxx because I would end up buying the lot – it was that good. 😀

Although I’m bummed to not have more of these wonderful skin care products, it’s always exciting to test out new ones. I am loving the cleanser and moisturizer I have started so check back in for the reviews!

Which products did you use up last month? What are your thoughts on any of the above products if you have used them before? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Groovy Movies: The Strangers – Chapter 2 Edition

Hello everyone and welcome to a brand new edition of Groovy Movies! If you are a horror movie fan like me, now is your time to shine. There are countless new scary flicks on the horizon that look awesome and previous releases that share the same sentiments. One movie that I was particularly looking forward to is The Strangers – Chapter 2 because I absolutely love that franchise. I saw it this past week and I really enjoyed it despite the reviews raking it through the coals.

I never go into watching a horror movie with the expectation of a masterpiece and view them as popcorn flicks instead. Regardless of the outcome, I will be entertained and that was very much the case for the newest addition of The Strangers. It was a popcorn flick through and through! Let’s discuss in a spoiler free setting, as always. But, before we begin, I will be placing a trigger warning on the film for harm to animals, disturbing content, and graphic violence. Now, let’s get to it:

^^^ As always, I have no rights to this video!!

The Strangers – Chapter 2 picks up exactly where Chapter 1 left off. The lone survivor, Maya, is recovering in the hospital after her terrifying first ordeal with The Strangers and is grieving the loss of her beloved fiance. She is wounded, in pain, and an emotional wreck but her problems are far from over. She is the only one who has ever survived an encounter with The Strangers and they aren’t going to let it stay that way. They have already infiltrated the hospital and the mad chase begins.

As Maya becomes the hunted once more, she emerges from the hospital into the rainy night in Venus, Oregon. Is there anyone she can really trust, though? Everywhere she turns, it seems like the whole small town is in on it and The Strangers know her every move before she even makes it. During moments of blessed solitude when Maya tends to her wounds, we learn flashbacks about Pin-Up Girl and Scarecrow when they were children in school as well as the origins of the question on everyone’s mind: Who is Tamara? Maya’s time alone is always short lived and she is outnumbered and has no one or nowhere to turn for help. Will she survive her second night being hunted by The Strangers? We’re going to have to wait for Chapter 3!

As I mentioned earlier, the reviews for The Strangers – Chapter 2 were anything but flattering and it scored a whopping eighteen percent on Rotten Tomatoes. The main qualms being that The Strangers should have been a stand alone film and that we don’t need a backstory into the three villains. My thoughts? The first Strangers movie was brilliant. It’s actually one of my favorite movies and I can see why people would say that it should have just been left alone. Its predecessors pale in comparison but that doesn’t mean that they aren’t entertaining. As for the backstory on The Strangers themselves, I am so there for it. Yes, it’s harrowing that their original reason for their murderous spree was “because you were home”. However, it is enticing to me to learn exactly why that is and how the whole town plays a part in it.

The Strangers – Chapter 2 was fast paced and clocked at just under an hour and forty minutes. For its entire duration, I was on the edge of my seat. It had plenty of good jump scares and the fact that The Strangers always seem to be everywhere was so suspenseful. Even more so because it was easy to root for Maya – seriously can that poor girl catch a break? I was genuinely bummed out when the movie ended on a To Be Continued because I wanted it to keep going and wanted to know more. I don’t know, I really liked it!

Overall, I am going to rate The Strangers – Chapter 2 with a seven out of ten stars. If you are a fan of this franchise, go into it with no preconceived notions. I think you will like it too!

What is your favorite scary movie? What did you think of The Strangers – Chapter 2? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

New Hair, Who Dis?

New Hair, Who Dis?

Howdy! Last Friday I enjoyed a wonderful day of pampering at the Shear Shop to put mine and my stylist, Anna’s, hair plans into fruition. We decided on a red, purple, and blue motif and I was SO ready to get a brand new do. Does anyone else feel like their hair looks like garbage in the week or so before they get it done? I was definitely feeling those sentiments and they were all pushed aside as soon as I stepped into the Shear Shop. I knew my hair was in the best hands and all that was left to do was sit and revel in the process! Check out this fabulous new look and peep my TikTok for the transformation video:

Pulp Riot Colors Used:

Top Left: Fireball with a bit of Pyro

Top Right: Pyro

Bottom Left: Asteroid

Bottom Right: Elixir

The first order of business when my hair gets done is always to bleach it so that the beautiful Pulp Riot hues can be seen in their full glory. Normally, we let the bleach sit for about twenty minutes. This time around, however, it was close to thirty-five because we needed to lift a lot of color from the previous style. We didn’t want any hints of green from the last shade of blue and we also wanted to see more purple, which meant pulling out some of the red. By the time my hair was bleached as far as it could go without jeopardizing the hair, the old blue lifted to a shade of mint green and it was actually really cool!

Once my hair was bleached and washed, the painting of the color began and that is the best part. The neat thing about Pulp Riot colors is that what you see in the bowls of hair dye is what you are going to get. Our new shade of denim blue called Asteroid threw us for a loop, though! Anna and I were both surprised to see that it looked purple in the bowl. We proceeded to use it anyways and about five seconds after Anna applied it, the color turned denim blue before our very eyes. It was insane! If you are interested in using that shade, this is your heads up that you’re still going to get the color you want. It just won’t look that way at first.

After my hair was painted, we let it sit for fifty minutes before washing it out in icy cold water. The end result was absolutely gorgeous! We had red, purple, and blue on the mind and it turned out EXACTLY how we were hoping. I am obsessed with the Asteroid dye and it’s a perfect transition shade of blue for fall time before we darken things up in the winter with Nightfall. The red is popping and I am extremely excited for the purple shade of Elixir. I have been in love with Kelly Osbourne’s purple locks since she hosted Lego Masters Junior and Elixir is an almost exact match. Your girl is feeling her damn self!!

As always, my beloved stylist is a genius and true master of her craft. It is such a joy to spend the day with her and I can’t wait to see what we dream up for my next appointment!

What colors should I get next? Are you changing your hair color for fall? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Groovy Movies: Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie Edition

Hello! My two big nieces are HUGE fans of the adorable show on Netflix, Gabby’s Dollhouse. And, honestly, so am I. It’s just pure fun and cute as can be and I love all of the kitty cat friends! Ever since we learned that there was going to be a Gabby’s Dollhouse movie coming to theaters, grand plans were made to see it altogether. I went this past weekend with my sister and two little besties and our girl squad had the best time! Of course, we had to get ALL the snacks because no movie is complete without popcorn, candy, and an Icee. With our haul in tow, we made our way into the theater and were treated to a fabulous experience. This movie was hilarious, darling, and one that adults will enjoy too because my sis and I were in stitches. Let’s discuss:

^^^ As always, I have no rights to this video!!

Our Gabby girl is SO excited because her and the dollhouse are heading to Cat Francisco for a week to spend time with Grandma Gigi. She is Gabby’s best friend and all of the cats in the dollhouse love her too. Gabby, Gigi, and the cats set out for their big road trip and have a blast sightseeing and snacking! Once they arrive at Gigi’s home, the dollhouse is still attached to the back of the car and CatRat is getting impatient to get out. So, he detaches the straps and the dollhouse takes a wild ride through Cat Francisco and ends up in the front of an antiques store.

Immediately, an ultra posh and super serious cat loving woman named Vera takes a shine to the dollhouse and lays her money down. Vera has no intention to play with the dollhouse. Rather, it is deemed as a “collectable” as everything in her cat decorated home is. She scatters the cats throughout her home and the dollhouse becomes a new place for her old toys to explore. While Gabby doesn’t know where her dollhouse ended up, she can still get tiny with the help of the audience and Pandy and comes to be in Vera’s cat museum for her rescue mission.

With Pandy’s help, Gabby begins to locate her missing cat friends and bring the dollhouse back home. She instructs CatRat and Vera’s old toys to stay at the dollhouse in case any of the cats come back on their own. Trouble is brewing, though. It has been so long since Vera’s favorite toys have been played with and they refuse to give it up that easily. The dollhouse has officially been taken over and all of its old residents will be kicked out. It is up to Gabby to save the day but she can’t do it without Vera. Somehow, Gabby is going to have to get her to unleash her inner child, use her imagination, and bring play back into her life. Will she succeed? See Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie to find out!

Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie was just a delight from start to finish. I love going to the movies with my nieces and to laugh, sing, and cheer together is so special. And, this movie was certainly worth cheering for because it was an absolute blast. Kristen Wiig as Vera was so perfectly cast and literally everything she did and said was funny. I don’t think I have ever laughed this hard during a children’s movie before and as I retold some of the parts to Johnny, he was cracking up too. This really is a movie that parents can sit down and watch with their kiddos and not be counting down the minutes until it’s over.

For all of the fun of Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie, there is such a sweet message behind it. That people do grow up, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t play, be silly, and dream big. For all of her quirks, Vera deemed herself as a serious businesswoman and had no time or desire to go crazy and be creative. So much so that she forgot what it meant to use her imagination. With Gabby and the dollhouse crew’s help, she learned that you are never too old to have fun and Gabby learned that growing up is okay… As long as she continues to never give up on her friends and keep her own magic alive. This is a good lesson for everyone and it came in the form of a nonstop fun flick!

Overall, I am going to award Gabby’s Dollhouse: The Movie with a ten out of ten stars. A ten for the experience of being with my nieces and a ten for being one of the best children’s movies I have seen. Highly recommend!

What was your favorite show growing up? What do your kids like to watch? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Lil Red’s Book Club: Peaches For Father Francis By Joanne Harris Edition

Hello everyone and welcome to a brand new edition of Lil Red’s Book Club! In a spoiler free setting, as always, we will be discussing the fourth installment of the Chocolat series by Joanne Harris called Peaches For Father Francis. I have been a fan of Joanne Harris for a long time and when I learned that a prequel to Chocolat called Vianne was recently released, I just had to revisit the best little chocolateer in all of Paris. I have so enjoyed reading through the series and regret not rereading Chocolat to start with. It has been a phat minute since I read that book! However, I know the outline well enough and that has not made reading any of its predecessors anything short of a delightful experience. Before we begin, I will be placing a trigger warning on Peaches For Father Francis for sexual assault, violence, and disturbing content. Now, let’s get to it:

Vianne, Roux, Anouk, and Rosette are finally a family and living together on a houseboat in Paris. They live simply, love fiercely, and savor every moment together like it’s their last. Life is so good, but the winds are changing and with it brings a letter. A letter from a beloved friend back in Lansquenet who is deceased. In her letter, she states that there are people in Lansquenet who need her and her final wish is for Vianne to return to the little town where it all began. To the tiny village where, eight years ago, she opened her chocolaterie with Anouk and sent the ultra religious into a frenzy that was headed by Father Francis Reynaud. Vianne’s memories of Lansquenet are bittersweet but she cannot refuse her friend’s parting wish and decides to take the girls on a little vacation.

Upon their arrival to Lansquenet, nothing and everything has changed. There are familiar faces and those who Vianne does not recognize. Since her departure from Lansquenet, a Muslim community has settled downriver. At first, things were very peaceful between the villagers and their new neighbors. Children played games in the streets, the adults mingled over coffee, and friends were made. Of course, Father Reynaud has never been open to strangers as we know with his tumultuous past with Vianne. He tolerates the new members of Lansquenet but finds himself questioning everything about them. Their religion, their clothing, and their traditions that are so far away from the gospel he preaches.

As tensions between Father Reynaud and the leader of the Muslim community rise, everyone in Lansquenet can sense it and begin to separate themselves. No more games, no more meals shared but each side remaining on their half of the Tannes river. In a shocking turn of events, the chocolate shop Vianne used to run which is now a Muslim school for girls is set aflame. Its residents, a mysterious woman and her daughter, are unharmed but the damage has been done and Father Reynaud takes the brunt of the blame.

Father Reynaud who has been a long term staple in Lansquenet becomes a stranger. His church is being taken over by a younger, more progressive priest. He is no longer invited to say mass and passerbys on the street can barely mask their disgust. Is this how Vianne felt when she first came to Lansquenet? Unwanted and unloved? To bring both communities back together again is beyond what Father Reynaud can do on his own. But with Vianne back in Lansquenet, he comes as close as he can to begging for her assistance. With a little magic, can Vianne return peace to the little town that will always be in her heart? Or will both sides be forever divided? Read Peaches For Father Francis to find out!

I have mixed feelings about Peaches For Father Francis. After reading The Girl With No Shadow, I not only had a taste for chocolate but more along those same lines. A fabulous new character, the sense of danger, and the delicate dance in the balance of good and evil. Peaches For Father Francis delivered on drama, yes, but I simply didn’t like it as much as the book that came prior. This novel swapped between Vianne and Father Reynaud’s point of view and I would have preferred it if another person from the Muslim community was thrown into the mix. At the end of the day, Reynaud and Vianne were essentially seeing the exact same things and it made for a lackluster read. In The Girl With No Shadow the story weaved between Vianne, Anouk, and the fantastic Zozie so we were getting the point of view from characters that ranged in age and desires. The story came to life whereas Peaches For Father Francis felt stuck.

Well over the first half of the book did nothing for me although things really picked up with the remainder. The very slow burn was finally ready to burst but by the time it did it felt like it was too late for the momentum to carry. I found myself counting down the pages to its completion and as I read The Girl With No Shadow, I didn’t want it to end. While it is always nice to be reunited with Vianne, the girls, and Roux, this was not the strongest book in the series. Despite the wishy washy sentiments, I am excited to read The Strawberry Thief next and conclude my Chocolat journey with the prequel.

Overall, I am going to rate Peaches For Father Francis with a five and a half out of ten stars. I am happy to have read it to further the series but I am even happier to be done with it!

What are you currently reading? What are your thoughts on the Chocolat series? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Polka Premiere

Polka Premiere

Hello! My Johnny and I absolutely LOVE Polka music and are lucky enough to be dear friends with the singer and accordionist from the Chardon Polka Band, Jake. For those of you who are not hip, the Chardon Polka Band is one of the best touring Polka parties all across America. Johnny used to play shows with them way back in the day and I have known them through work for the past decade. It is so exciting to watch them live out their Polka dreams and we just adore them!

The Chardon Polka Band has a phenomenal show that airs nationally on PBS called The World According To Polka and its third season premiere was this past Friday. Over one year ago, Jake contacted us asking if Johnny might play some tunes on their very first episode that revolves around trains. We were thrilled and took a drive to a historic village in Burton, Ohio to record his part of the episode. Take a look and be sure to peep my TikTok for some snippets:

As it has been a phat minute since then we honestly kind of forgot about it lol. Until we received an email inviting us to the season premiere party at the PBS station in Kent, Ohio. The festivities were this past Thursday and it was a blast!! Johnny and I went out for a celebratory dinner at a super cool restaurant down the road from the station called Mike’s Place. We enjoyed every bite of our meals and rolled into the shindig both stuffed with food AND feelings!

At the party, we got to mingle with all of our friends from the Chardon Polka Band, PBS employees, musicians, and diehard Polka enthusiasts. There were pretzels and pierogies, dancers, and Dyngus Day Festival character actors and the station was radiating with pure joy. After we got settled into the auditorium, it was time for the show to begin. It started with some clips of all of the great work that PBS does in our local community and then Jake took the stage to speak about what the Chardon Polka Band has been up to and presented a larger than life trailer of The World According To Polka. We were then treated to a viewing of the first episode of their new music education show on PBS and the season premiere of The World According To Polka with my Johnny.

The Polka Train episode was so wonderful from start to finish. The Chardon Polka Band visited several train related locations in Northeast Ohio. This included a model train museum, a one eighth scale train ride in a Metro Park, the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad, and the last stop in Burton where we filmed. Seeing Johnny on screen was simply amazing and I was so incredibly proud of him. He gave extensive knowledge to the two songs they were performing together and why the train motif was so popular in music upon its invention. Johnny played guitar and sang in both songs and when each of them were over the whole audience went wild. Everyone sitting by us acted like they were sitting by a celebrity and it was just so freaking cool! ❤

Being able to take part in this season premiere party was such a gift. The Chardon Polka Band does so much good everywhere they go and we are so thankful that Johnny got to share in that. Be sure to tune into The World According To Polka every Friday on PBS and give the Chardon Polka Band a listen. You will love them as much as we do!

Has something exciting happened to you recently? What is your favorite show on PBS? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

What Is The Weather? OOTD Bloopers

Hello everyone and welcome to the Blooper Reel from my What Is The Weather? OOTD! Today we are going to take a look at the yikes shots that definitely didn’t make the first, second, or third cut from a fun little weekend fit. You also get a chance to see the true excellence of Johnny’s photography work. He always delivers!! Let’s check it out and have a laugh:

One of my favorite summer memories is easily going to see Weird Al in concert for the third time. He played an absolutely wonderful show at Blossom Music Center and I was so lucky to have gone with Johnny and my big bro. We had the best time! And can we please talk about what a national treasure Weird Al is? For decades he has been making us laugh, sing, and channel our inner weirdness and he really is a gift to the world. As long as he continues to tour in the greater Akron area, I will be there with my crew in tow. What can I say, I’m a Weird Al groupie!

In honor of one of mine and Johnny’s all time favorites, we decided to have a weird and lazy Sunday this past week. We watched UHF, Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, and clips from Al TV. It was a hoot! We hadn’t seen Weird before and were looking forward to it. It was funny but didn’t do much for me. However, UHF will always do the most and we were in stitches from start to finish. I have countless favorite parts but what I loved the most was pausing the movie when they showed the TV channel’s schedule. There were so many silly names for fake TV shows including: That’s Disgusting!, The Flying Pope, and the piece de resistance… The Young and Dyslexic. You just know how much FUN was had on that movie set and I would have given anything to have been a fly on the wall. Or to simply be in Weird Al’s brain for a minute to see what that beautiful, beautiful man is thinking about!

Always be weird, always laugh, and always be you. Take it from someone who knows best… Me and Weird Al lolol!

What is your favorite Weird Al song? What is something that made you laugh recently? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

New Hair Sneak Peek

New Hair Sneak Peek

Hello! One of my absolute favorite things in the world is getting my hair done at the Shear Shop. My amazing stylist, Anna, has been doing my hair for over twenty years and we just have so much fun at all of my appointments. While she works her magic, we are nonstop chattering away about our updates, laughing, and daydreaming about what to do with my hair next. Sometimes Anna and I just freestyle what we are going to do the day of my appointment. More often than not, however, we go into it with a plan and then we’ll see what happens. As Anna and I were messaging about my new do at my upcoming appointment, we were both totally on the same wavelength and will be working with this color palette:

This is the time of the year when I ditch summer colors and start delving into the deeper hues of fall. Anna and I have been experimenting with beaucoup blue by Pulp Riot for the warmer weather and I have been loving it. Blue has become a staple in my hair palette and I have been looking forward to using the gorgeous deep navy Nightfall for fall. Then, Anna sent me a picture of a blue jean shade called Asteroid and I just had to go for it instead! It’s not a huge jump from Nightfall but it’s enough for something different and I am never one to shy away from new Pulp Riot colors. I can’t wait to see it and smell it lol because all of their hair dye smells like Sweet Tarts! 😀

With red always being featured in my hair, we also had to decide on a new color for the middle layer. Currently, we have a pretty peach mixture of Desert Sky and Lava and that won’t do for fall. I told Anna I was thinking purple and coincidentally, she was looking at purple options when I suggested it! We considered it fate and will be using a Kelly Osbourne-esque violet called Elixir. I felt very inspired by her hair when she hosted Lego Masters Junior and repeatedly told Johnny how much I liked her color. Elixir is a perfect match and I adore that we read each other’s minds to pick it out. ❤

Red, purple, blue – oh my! Peep my brand new do soon on lifewithlilred!

What Is The Weather? OOTD

What Is The Weather? OOTD

Hello everyone and welcome to a brand new OOTD here on lifewithlilred! I have been daydreaming of fall weather since last fall and Ohio is simply not delivering. It has been hot AF here and still feels like summer and I genuinely can’t stand it lol. It flip flops from needing a hoodie in the morning to wanting to be in a bikini by mid afternoon and it begs the question of what the hell to wear! As I refuse to shave my legs once fall hits (Even if it doesn’t feel like it!), my formula is jeans on the bottom paired with an itty bitty top. Just like this new look! Check it out:

He Loves Me Not Crop Top: This was purchased FOREVER ago when I worked at PacSun as a teenager!

Bedazzled Boyfriend Jeans: Banjara, TJMaxx

Lavender Platforms: Olivia Miller, Walmart

The cross earrings are Lucky Brand and were a gift from my mom!

After a long summer of shorts and shaving, you can catch me posted up in jeans even if it is ninety degrees on a fall day. So, in the case of this OOTD, I started styling with the pantaloons department. As you all know, I am a skinny jean girl through and through. However, my favorite pair has got to be my bedazzled boyfriend jeans by Banjara. Try saying that five times fast! I adore the slouchy fit, the distressing, and the blingy surprise and I have never seen a pair like them before – which is exactly how I like it! These jeans are uber cool and unique and make something special out of a basic essential. Boyfriend jeans are made to be worn with a close fit top and I knew just what I wanted to pair it with…

The cutest little crop top from PacSun! This top is old as dirt but I just love it so much. How sweet is that he loves me, he loves me not pattern?! I vividly remember doing shipment at work when we received this crop and bought it immediately after my shift. It’s one of those items that I can’t part with and I’m glad I held onto it for all of these years because it’s perfect with my boyfriend jeans! It provides this OOTD with some shape to balance out the baggy jeans and shows some skin too. That’s ideal because it keeps me cool when I am forever questioning What Is The Weather? 😀

Finally, it was onto shoes and accessories. For shoes, I went with a pair of lavender Olivia Miller platforms from Walmart. These babies were only FIVE DOLLARS – talk about a total steal! As my jeans were pretty long in length, I needed that extra height to keep them from dragging and it provided a pastel pop of color to the All Black Everything look. Since a lot of my tattoos were on display, I kept jewelry minimal with a pair of dangly turquoise cross earrings and was ready to step out in whatever climate Ohio found itself in!

Not quite fall, not quite summer but one hundred percent fashion fun! What Is The Weather? A forecast of hot days and hotter OOTDs!

What is fall weather like in your neck of the woods? What is your favorite fall activity? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah
