Hello everyone and welcome to some bonus pictures from yesterday’s Flight Of Fancy OOTD! That Saturday was such a fun day of playing model with my husband, having a libation at our favorite bar, and enjoying a community holiday activity with my family. It was the perfect day immersed in holiday spirit and I loved every minute of it! Let’s get to it:

Over the past several years, downtown Cuyahoga Falls has transformed itself into a happening little place. Prior to the renovations, this area had more closed down shops and restaurants than open. Now, every storefront is practically filled with unique eateries, boutiques, and novelty shops. Not to mention all of the amazing holiday activities and festivals that are hosted there throughout the year.

This past Saturday, downtown Cuyahoga Falls opened up its outdoor skating rink and had a Santa parade, fireworks, and tree lighting ceremony to celebrate. Johnny and I met up with my parents and niece for the festivities and had an absolute blast. Our niece got to see her TT skate for the first time and she also got to see Santa riding on a firetruck through the streets.

Not only was the area beautifully decorated for the holidays but it was also snowing which made for a scene fresh out of a Hallmark movie. There was music playing, people dancing in the streets, and an indoor area to warm up, sip hot chocolate, and have the little ones write their letters to Santa. So much fun! 😀

A wonderful time was had by all this past weekend and I am so appreciative to my hometown for hosting such awesome events to bring the community together. ❤

How does your neck of the woods get in the holiday spirit? Is there a similar area to downtown Cuyahoga Falls where you live? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Hello everyone and welcome to a brand new OOTD from my Thanksgiving weekend! This past Saturday, Johnny and I visited our favorite bar, the Cashmere Cricket, and then met up with my parents and niece for a Santa parade in downtown Cuyahoga Falls. As always, Johnny was kind enough to take some pics of yours truly – he’s a total blog husband! This is one of my favorite OOTDs that I’ve done in a long time so let’s get to it:

image_50426881image_67509761image_67211777image_67502849image_67196929image_50448129image_50408705

Who? What? Wear?

I have been waiting for the right occasion to break out my feather collar and I thought that a day date with Johnny was the perfect time to do so. This OOTD is exciting to me because most of the pieces that are in this look are fairly old and just one accessory breathed new life into all of them. In fact, I totally forgot that I even owned the Express blazer that I purchased during a trip to Goodwill!

When I originally was styling this outfit, I had a simple black sweater on but it wasn’t doing anything for me. I decided a pop of color was needed and went with a white button down that I had bought at H&M forever ago. It has seriously been years since I have worn that shirt and it was just what this outfit needed against the all black palette.

Another thing that I struggled a bit with was finding the right coat to wear because it was friggen freezing that day! One of my heavy winter jackets did the feather collar no favors and I knew that I needed something thinner, despite the cold. Anything for fashion! It took a second trip back into my closet to discover the Express blazer and it was perfect for the sleek silhouette that I had envisioned.

Finally, all that was left were pants and shoes and what I went with was an obvious choice for an almost All Black Everything OOTD. With simple pieces and one outrageous accessory, I felt like a model when my husband was taking my pictures. It was also so nice to revisit one of the spots where we had our engagement photo shoot!

Once I was satisfied with the pics that Johnny took, we warmed up in the Cashmere Cricket while we waited for the parade to start. I enjoyed a delicious color changing martini called The Butterfly Effect and I definitely know what I’ll be ordering again the next time we go!

Thanksgiving Day OOTD

Thanksgiving Day OOTD

Howdy! I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with good food and good company. I know that Johnny and I did and it was a vast improvement from last year because we had to sit it out due to a potential COVID exposure for yours truly. Rather than spending my day crying and watching Law & Order SVU, I got to enjoy my Thanksgiving with my family and I am very… THANKFUL!

Check out this lil OOTD before your girl got into her PJs and let the food coma take over. Featuring a cameo by Archie the dog:

Who? What? Wear?

For my Thanksgiving OOTD, I wanted to incorporate fall colors as well as maximum comfort because we all know that it’s a bad idea to wear something tight fitting before a big meal! I played around in my head with what I wanted to wear for Turkey Day several days prior to and am very happy with what I came up with – especially my owl knee highs which I forgot that I even owned lol.

My OOTD started with the Luna Moon peasant blouse that I got during a recent TJMaxx haul and I thought that it was perfect for Thanksgiving. I absolutely love the mustard yellow base combined with the colors of the beautiful embroidery and thought that it screamed fall festive. The skirt was actually a hand me down from a client’s friend and it paired wonderfully with the gold button accents.

It was a cold and rainy Thanksgiving day in my neck of the woods and I knew that I needed something to cover up my legs. I was hoping to wear a white pair of tights but realized that I didn’t have any so I had to do some digging in my odds and ends box in my closet. There, I discovered my owl knee highs that I purchased during a brief stint of working at Claire’s and knew that they would do just fine. In fact, I liked it even better than the original idea of tights!

To complete my outfit, I chose my Lulu Hun heeled oxfords for a little touch of student teacher chic. I haven’t worn these shoes in a while, which blows my mind because they are adorable. These shoes also helped tie together the fall palette that I wanted to create with each component of my OOTD.

When it comes to combining cute with comfortable, this look accomplished my mission to the T. I love how the different colors and patterns worked all together, which made for a really fun OOTD out of fairly simple pieces. Although, I’d be a liar if I said that I wasn’t dying to get into my pajamas all day!

How was your Thanksgiving? What did you wear to stunt in your house? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Thanksgiving Checklist

Thanksgiving Checklist

Hi! Thanksgiving is in one short week… Are you ready for it? Today, we’re going to check out a checklist to make sure that everything is in order for the big day. I, myself, have been fantasizing about Thanksgiving food since last Thanksgiving so I am very excited! Let’s get to it so your holiday meal with your loved ones happens without a hitch:

Prepare Your Menu:

Before going grocery shopping, it is important to prepare your menu in accordance to how many people will be at your meal and any dietary needs that they might have. For example, in my family there are three vegetarians so we never skimp on the side dishes! Doing a menu prep will also ensure that you are not cooking way too much or too little. Although, popping in an oven pizza if you haven’t cooked enough food isn’t the worst thing that could happen… I really like oven pizza lol.

Go Grocery Shopping:

Once your menu is in order, it is never too early to hit the grocery store so what you need isn’t sold out. Now would be a great time to get your turkey or ham, stuffing mixes, potatoes, cranberry sauce, beverages, and other cooking essentials like oil, flour, and milk. Veggies like green beans for the much debated green bean casserole (which I freaking LOVE) should be purchased a few days before Thanksgiving for ultimate freshness.

Clean Up:

If you are hosting Thanksgiving dinner at your house, then a deep clean is definitely in order – especially if you’re like my family who puts literally everything on the dining room table! Clean up the dining room, kitchen, bathrooms, and the living room so you have a comfortable space to relax after gorging yourselves. While everyone might be too full to play games after dinner, a movie screening in the living room will be much appreciated while you digest. I, personally, am hoping that my family continues with the tradition of watching Step Brothers after our Thanksgiving meal!

Early Food Prep:

There is plenty of food preparations that can be done before Thanksgiving day to make your cooking extravaganza easier on yourself. It is also an essential task for the perfect turkey. A day or two before Thanksgiving, you can work on cutting veggies and fruits if you’re having pie for dessert, baking rolls if you’re going the homemade route, and measuring all of the spices and seasonings you’ll need for each dish into a zip lock baggie. Anything that you can do beforehand will have you thanking yourself on Thanksgiving day since it will lighten your work load.

Get Your Outfit Ready:

I think it is so funny that people get super dressed up for Thanksgiving even though they are just hanging out at home but it is part of the tradition so a great outfit is in order. Plan out your OOTD ahead of time so you’re not left with the horrible feeling of having “nothing to wear” come Thanksgiving day. I already have a few ideas in mind so be on the lookout for an OOTD post of me straight stunting at the home front! 😀

Ease some of the stress that the Thanksgiving holiday can bring with the check list above so you can fully enjoy your day with family and friends. ❤

What is your favorite Thanksgiving food? Does your family have any Thanksgiving traditions? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Spooky Spectacular OOTD Bonus Pictures

Howdy! As promised, today we are going to look at some bonus pictures from my Spooky Spectacular OOTD. Johnny and I had a very successful Halloween weekend, minus me coming down with an awful cold on Sunday. But that’s okay because Halloween Sunday was just us watching scary movies all day so we didn’t miss out on any of our festivities. Take a look at some pics and let’s discuss:

On Friday, Johnny and I attended a Halloween get together hosted by one of his work friends seen in the picture above. Her and her husband set up a mini haunted house in their backyard which we unfortunately didn’t get to go through because it wasn’t finished by the time we were heading out. It was still a lot of fun, though, and it was nice to finally meet some of my husband’s work friends who he has spoke so highly about.

Saturday was a hoot too and we took our little niece trick or treating at our apartment offices and had a spooky song dance party afterwards. She also enjoyed playing with all of the bits and baubles on our spooky shelf as well as our huge collection of LEGO mini figs! Later that evening, we headed to a friend’s house for some Halloween hangs. Of course, Johnny and I had to step out in our costumes even though no one else was dressed up lol.

As mentioned above, I woke up feeling miserable on Sunday and was left exhausted by a killer cold from outer space. Everyone has a certain time during the year when they usually catch a little bug and I thought that I had surpassed mine because it tends to happen for me in mid-October. I guess Halloween weekend had one more trick for me so it was the perfect day to watch all of the scary movies and a couple episodes of Criminal Minds – our favorite! 😀

Even though I fell under the weather, our Halloween weekend was a great time. Johnny and I had so much fun getting dressed up in our costumes and we are already talking about what we should be next year! ❤

How did you celebrate Halloween? What is your favorite Halloween candy? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Spooky Spectacular OOTD

Spooky Spectacular OOTD

Hi! Today, we are going to take a look at my Spooky Spectacular OOTD for Halloween. I’ll be the first to admit that I threw this costume together and hoped for the best and I am incredibly pleased with how it turned out. Although I couldn’t find a vampire costume to match Johnny’s, that’s okay, because I was able to come up with a costume that no one else would have. Take a look:

Who? What? Wear?

During our search for Halloween costumes, Johnny and I went to three different stores and I couldn’t find NOTHIN minus a couple of super cool accessories. This included the claw rings that I am obsessed with even though they are way too big and crazy cheap lol. Johnny was able to find a vampire costume that I thought he looked dashing in while I had to resort to online shopping after our rounds at the stores.

I scoured Amazon for over a half hour and was still coming up empty. I just couldn’t find anything that spoke to me and I had all but given up when I stumbled upon the skeleton bodysuit by Tipsy Elves. It was definitely more expensive than what I was comfortable with, however, it was one of the few things I saw that I could actually work with so I gave it a shot. It conveniently arrived with free one day shipping and it was a huge relief that it fit well when I tried it on. The last thing I needed was to find another costume in a sea of not so muches.

Despite having the bodysuit, my costume was not complete because I felt too exposed in just the bodysuit and fishnets. I decided that a black tutu skirt was a necessity so Johnny and I made our way back to Spirit Halloween the Thursday before the big weekend. The store was so picked over and entire shelves were completely bare with no black tutu skirt in sight. All that was left was red and purple skirts, so red it was. At the time, I wasn’t thrilled about it but after putting on the completed costume, I should have been looking for a red skirt all along – it’s so cute!

To finish the look, I went with my wedding heels that worked perfectly with the skeleton bodysuit. I also was really happy to be able to wear them again after mine and Johnny’s June nuptials. After my OOTD was ready to go, it was time to apply makeup and that went as well as to be expected with a palette from Spirit Halloween lol. Needless to say, it didn’t apply very well but I was pleased with how my attempt at skeleton makeup turned out even though I didn’t have the best tools to work with.

My Spooky Spectacular costume is one that I am really proud of and it turned out even better than I expected. Thrown together? Yes. So cute it’s scary? Yes times a million! Be sure to tune in tomorrow for bonus pictures! 😀

What did you do for Halloween? What did you dress up as? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Show Your Bones OOTD

Show Your Bones OOTD

Hi! I have been making great use out of my new iPhone for exactly why I wanted it in the first place – lots of OOTD posts. 😀 Today, we are going to check out a spooky OOTD perfect for Halloween that I sported this weekend for a date night with Johnny. Let’s get to it:

Who? What? Wear?

Over the weekend, I got certified in Medication Administration which was a nine to five class both Saturday and Sunday. The location of the training was a decent amount away from the homestead, so I thought that I would get a hotel nearby to make it easier on myself. The classes were very intense and the only thing getting me through the day towards the end of the Saturday lesson was a date night afterwards.

After class, Johnny took me to a delicious Italian dinner at Napoli’s. Then, we headed to an arcade bar called the Buzzbin to play some games. However, when we got there we learned that there were no longer any arcade games there. Johnny immediately hopped on the case and we ended up at Rack It Up, which was another arcade bar in the area. We must have played ski ball for close to an hour – it was a hoot!

Whenever my husband and I step out together, we love to show out in our emo’s best. With spooky season upon us, I couldn’t think of a better time to break out my hand me down skeleton sweater from Johnny. While it was too small for him, it fit me just right. 🙂 All Black Everything was an obvious must for this look and to keep the wearing your insides on your sleeve motif going, I wore my vertebrae platforms a la Dolls Kill. It has been a while since I have gotten to wear them and they reminded me so much of the heels that I wore for my wedding. :*)

Although my Show Your Bones OOTD is quite simple, it was so much fun to wear because it felt like Halloween came early! As a short gal, it is important to me to create the illusion of length in the outfits that I style and I felt ten feet tall in this one. Rest assured that no bones were broken in the making of this post! 😀

What are you going to be for Halloween? Where do you find the best spooky themed clothes? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Feeling Fall OOTD Bonus Pictures

Hellooo everyone and welcome to some bonus pictures from my Feeling Fall OOTD! I loved my outfit and the pictures so much that I just had to include some extra content because I couldn’t narrow down the pics I liked to save my own life lol. And guess what? These pictures were all taken from my new iPhone which was a nice change of pace from having to use Johnny’s for all of my OOTD shoots! Check it out:

Nothing makes me feel more confident than a great outfit and I think this one had it in spades. It also makes me feel so good when Johnny steps in as my OOTD photographer. He is a total blog husband and is incredibly dear for taking a million pictures of me… And then a million more if I don’t like them!

I have to say, Johnny has stepped up his photography game considerably thanks to all of my nitpicky directions. He has become a master at not cutting my feet out and I could not be more proud. In fact, he suggested that I put my cardigan over my shoulder which was an inspired idea. I was very impressed because I hadn’t even thought to do that. 😀

Getting all dolled up for OOTD shoots is great but the time spent with Johnny is priceless. I am so thankful to my blog husband for always being there to snap pictures of yours truly. Tune in tomorrow for more outfit pics and a cameo from the man behind the magic of my Feeling Fall OOTD! ❤

Feeling Fall OOTD

Feeling Fall OOTD

Howdy!! Fall is my favorite season for many reasons. I love the weather, the activities that come with it, Halloween, and the clothes! Fall fashion is the absolute best and if Ohio weather permitted it, I would be dressing for fall all year round. Today, we are going to check out an OOTD that had me Feeling Fall in nothing short of a spiritual way. Let’s get to it and be sure to tune back in tomorrow for bonus pictures from this shoot:

Who? What? Wear?

This OOTD is one of my favorite looks that I have styled in a while because I feel like it captures the fall season perfectly. The floral skirt by Originality is one of my most recent purchases and I couldn’t wait to wear it. There was no better time than on our family vacation to the Poconos to break it out and I felt so fabulous the entire day in this look. I have a feeling that I will be rewearing it a lot!

What I love the most about the Originality bodycon skirt is its versatility. As I mentioned in the New Skirt Alert post, it comes with countless styling options as you can match a top to any of the colors of the flowers for a cohesive look. I chose to pair this skirt with a Rachel Zoe tank top tucked in to make it look more like a dress. Then, I went with my Knitted Dove cardigan which paired beautifully as the cream base and burgundy accents were just right with the floral skirt.

To complete my Feeling Fall OOTD, I went with an adorable pair of Nine West Kitten Heels to add a little bling and some length. These heels were an ideal choice for the outfit because there are no straps on them to break up the leg line, making for a long and sleek silhouette. (Also this is the first time I spelled that word correctly on the first try so kudos to me lol!)

In my humble opinion, this OOTD is simply charming. From the mixing of textures and the matching of colors to the sparkly surprise on the shoes, this is an amazing look for fall. I am already looking forward to wearing it again! 😀

What is your favorite fall color? How about your favorite fall activity? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Jeans & A T OOTD Bonus Pictures

Jeans & A T OOTD Bonus Pictures

Howdy and welcome to some bonus content from my Jeans & A T OOTD! I don’t know if it was my hair, my outfit, or the setting at Taco Bell but I liked so many of the pictures that Johnny took for me that I had an insanely difficult time narrowing it down. That’s why we are going to look at some extra pics as well as a few blooper ones as well as discuss how we ended up at Taco Bell in the first place! Let’s get to it:

^^^ Can you guess which ones the bloopers are?! 😀

On Saturday morning, Johnny told me what every girl wants to hear when she wakes up: “I’m getting us Taco Bell for lunch”. It was the nicest thing that anyone has ever said to me and I couldn’t wait for my husband to return home from errands with TBell in hand.

While Johnny was out, I texted him what I wanted and, instead of putting a “medium Baja Blast” I just texted “medium Baja”. I assumed that he knew I meant the drink but assuming makes an ass out of U and ME. Once he got home, I didn’t see my blue drank and figured that he left it in the car. When I asked Johnny where it was he told me: “I thought you meant a medium amount of Baja sauce on your food”. LOL!

The Taco Bell was delicious, as always, but it would have been even better to wash it down with a Baja Blast. I joked with Johnny about it and in between laughter, my sweet husband told me that we could go back to TBell on our way to taking pictures at a new hiking trail.

As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, we drove around everywhere and could not find this trail to save our own lives. I also still really wanted my Baja Blast so I told Johnny let’s just forget it and take pictures at Taco Bell. At first, he didn’t think I was serious but I meant it with every ounce of my being. So, we turned around and headed to TBell and after getting a drink for the both of us, the photo shoot commenced!

Taking pictures for my Jeans & A T OOTD was a mini road trip and one hundred percent hilarious. It also gave me some of my favorite pictures that I have ever taken for my blog. Johnny’s silly mistake ended up being a blessing in disguise! ❤

What is your favorite fast food place? What is your usual order from Taco Bell? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah
