Pumpkin Patch Party OOTD Bonus Pics

Hello!! We are back to our regularly scheduled programming of some bonus pics from my Pumpkin Patch Party OOTD! Johnny and I had such a blast during our date day at Heritage Farms and I love the baby pumpkins that we picked out so very much. We can’t wait to take our nieces there to share in the fall fun with hay rides and a huge children’s section decked out with games and crafts. Although, I don’t know if I’ll be able to put together an OOTD as good as this one:

image_50460673(7)image_50451457image_50736897(2)image_50443009(1)image_50740481(1)image_50428161(8)image_50458113(2)

This past week, it was like a flip switched in Ohio and my neck of the woods truly began feeling like fall. Seemingly overnight, the leaves began to change colors and the temperatures dropped to the pleasant chill of an autumn day. I can’t even fathom a guess at the amount of times that I have said “look at that tree” already lol. Say what you will about Ohio but, come fall time, my state delivers with postcard worthy beauty.

Heritage Farms is located near Peninsula, Ohio and this area is filled with Metro Parks, bike trails, orchards, and the most delicious ice cream on planet Earth. It was such a lovely drive to get there, as we went through the Cuyahoga Valley and passed many a good tree. I thought that I had been in fall mode since September but this OOTD and an afternoon at the pumpkin patch made me think otherwise!

Although I have a lot of unique clothing in my wardrobe, I try to achieve balance through classic styles so that I can wear everything for forever. Each piece in this Pumpkin Patch Party OOTD is something that I can picture wearing now or when I’m forty. At twenty-eight, I often forget that I am technically a “grown up”. However, this fit made me feel like woman, hear me roar. This is, arguably, the most grown up OOTD that I have ever wore and it definitely took me out of my comfort zone. But, I achieved my goal of a classic fall outfit and what better place to wear it than to a classic fall activity like going to a pumpkin patch?!

There are so many different ways to expand your fashion horizons in the fall and I can’t wait to keep exploring them with all of you. Tune in tomorrow for bloopers from this shoot! We will also be revisiting my A Night At The Theater OOTD series next week after a date night at Playhouse Square this weekend. See you then!

When does it start feeling like fall to you? What is your favorite thing about fall fashion? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

New Hair, Who Dis? OOTD Pt. 2

Hello everyone and welcome to some bonus pics from my New Hair, Who Dis? OOTD! This shoot was just too much fun and turned out exactly how I wanted so, of course, I have to share some extras. You can also keep it posted tomorrow for the blooper reel and then it is on to celebrating lifewithlilred’s eight year Blogiversary. There’s nothing better than ringing in a brand new year of blogging with a brand new me OOTD! Check it out:

image_50402049(1)image_50395393(1)image_50427137(4)image_50445825(3)image_50419201(4)image_50445825(2)image_50398721(5)image_50404097(6)image_50403841(7)

Johnny always tells me that I have perfect timing in the most sarcastic way possible. For example, I’ll ask him for something to drink as soon as he sits down or try to change my DoorDash order right before he’s about to send it in. I never mean to but apparently I have a knack for it! In the case of this OOTD coinciding with my blogiversary, I agree with my husband. My timing is perfect lol.

I had, honestly, forgotten about my blogiversary completely with all of the craziness going on in my life. So you can imagine my surprise when I got the WordPress notification before I began yesterday’s post! A reminder of all of my years of dedication to lifewithlilred paired with pictures that I am obsessed with was just the pick me up I needed. It’s so easy to lose sight of accomplishments – especially when it feels like your life is in shambles *face palm*. But another year of posting daily content under my belt is something that I am so proud of and it felt good to remember that.

Starting my new blogging calendar off with a new OOTD is also serendipitous because lots of OOTD posts are my goal for going into year nine of lifewithlilred. Creating new outfits in a variety of styles is such a blast for me and fall outfits are my jam. So, yes, to my husband – sometimes I really do have perfect timing. Keep it locked for more unique and affordable looks coming soon!

What is something that you are proud of? What is your favorite type of post to write on your blog? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

A Stroll In The Garden OOTD Pt. 2 Bonus Pics

Hey! Today, we are going to check out some bonus pics from Part Two of my Stroll In The Garden OOTD. Johnny took these pictures and prior to being with him, I always got a kick out of the “husbands of Instagram” posts. I thought they were so funny and sweet and I admired the significant other for assisting in all of the pictures. They seemed like the partner to have and I feel like the luckiest girl to have me a blog husband of my own!

Not only is Johnny the best in every aspect of my life but he turned out to be a formidable iPhone photographer as well. His method of “just take a million pictures” works perfectly every time and I am so appreciative whenever he helps me out for my OOTD shoots. Take a look at his handiwork:

image_50446849(1)image_50739457image_50417921(3)image_50740993(1)image_50428161(7)image_50424577(1)

Taking pictures used to be something I was really self conscious about due to constant battles with low self esteem. To this day, I still don’t let just anyone take my pictures and have a handful of people that I like to work with. In fact, the first time Johnny took some OOTD shots, I was SO nervous! That feeling quickly dissipated, however, because he treats every photo shoot like an America’s Next Top Model moment… Even the bloopers!

Johnny’s comments of “you’re working it”, “you look great”, and “are we done yet?” make all of our photo sessions a joy. He truly makes sure that every picture he snaps is shot just the way I like it and has also gotten so good at not cutting my head or feet out! My blog is something that I take a lot of pride in and being able to collaborate with my husband for OOTDs is really special to me.

A HUGE shout out to my sweet blog husband for indulging me in my OOTD shoots. He is the behind the scenes hero of almost all of them and my love and self confidence soars with every picture taken. I LOVE YOU, BABE! ❀

Who is your favorite person to take pictures with? What or who makes you feel confident? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Country Concert OOTD Bloopers

Hello!! It’s time to wrap up my Country Concert OOTD with everyone’s favorite segment: The blooper reel! I don’t know about all of you, but some of my favorite parts of comedy movies happen in the bloopers during the credits. It’s a true testament to not everything being a perfect take – for actors and influencers alike. Before I began doing blooper posts, the following pictures would have been deleted without a second thought. Now, I think otherwise and love sharing them with you:

It’s safe to say that none of these shots would make the cut as the cover of my country album “Timbertop” (In honor of my apartment community) but they certainly have a place here on lifewithlilred. Actually… Now that I think of it, Timbertop is a great name for a country album! For me, OOTD shoots are a lot of play and little work and it’s fun to team up with Johnny to create some photography magic – the good, the bad, and the yikes!

Tune in tomorrow for one more peek at my Country Concert OOTD in the form of a couple’s shoot with Johnny. The pictures are pretty adorable minus one glaring issue… You’ll know what I mean when you see it!

What is your favorite comedy movie? Do you delete or save “bad” pictures? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Country Concert OOTD Bonus Pics

Hello everyone and welcome to some bonus pics from my Country Concert OOTD! Although we didn’t end up going to said country concert of Willie Nelson, I got tons of pictures that I love to show for it so I guess it all worked out lol. This OOTD was a blast to style and even more fun to wear! My inner Dolly Parton was able to burst free and I felt like a total country diva. Take a look at some bonus pics so good that they should be outlawed (See what I did there?!):

image_50444033(2)image_50416129(2)image_50416897(3)image_50744321image_50434817(2)image_50404609(4)image_50424065(2)

Wearing this outfit was very interesting to me because it is not even close to my usual personal style at all. I’m sure all of you can agree! However, it was a true testament to the confidence that a great outfit can give – regardless of of it’s something that you would normally wear or not. When I first put this OOTD on, I admit that I was slightly self conscious. Then, I began playing with the fringe and dancing around in the mirror and I was transformed!

What has always drawn me to fashion is that it gives you the opportunity to be whoever you want on any given day. My standard look is a combination of glam rock and punk but who says that I can’t be a country superstar or a posh theater goer? When you dress the part and have the confidence to pull it off is when you can start having real fun with styling without limiting yourself to your signature style.

I can honestly say that this is an outfit that I would wear again without the catch of attending a country show. Is it a bit much? Absolutely. But, so am I so what difference does it make? I felt AMAZING in this OOTD and that’s all that matters to me. So, if you have a look that you’re on the fence about but feel good in: Wear it anyway!! It will be an excellent practice in your own self confidence and you’ll end up feeling glad that you took the risk.

Tomorrow, tune in for a new watercolor painting project. Then, it will be on to bloopers from this look and a couple’s photo shoot! See you then! ❀

How would you describe your personal style? What makes you feel confident? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

A Stroll In The Garden OOTD Bonus Pics

Hello everyone and welcome to some bonus pics from my Stroll In The Garden OOTD! This is neither here nor there but, as I type this, there is something stuck in my eye and it’s super uncomfortable/annoying. Happy Monday, am I right? ANYWHO, this little OOTD was shot by my dad and he did a bang up job! And, something very special happened afterwards so let’s get to it:

image_50755329(2)image_50422529(1)image_50736897(1)image_50451713(2)image_50747905image_50473217(1)

My niece, Valerie, was over when we were taking these pictures and was outside with my mom while my dad was snapping pics. Val is my lil BFF and she is always joined at my hip whenever we are together so it was pretty amazing that these pictures could even happen! Now, normally, Val refuses to get her picture taken so we were all shocked when the unthinkable happened… She said she wanted to take pictures too!

After a few more minutes of OOTD pics, I was able to take Val’s pictures and it warmed my cold, bitter heart like no other. We all knew it was because she wanted to be doing what I was doing and it was just so freaking cute. Her and I ran around the backyard finding good patches of grass because, oddly enough, she didn’t want pictures by flowers. She showed off her cool dance moves and took her TT’s directions well when she felt like it. πŸ˜€

I couldn’t wait to share the pics that I took with my sister and brother-in-law and they were equally as surprised from Val’s apparent change of heart for getting her picture taken. Val makes me proud all of the time but this moment is definitely in my top five. Maybe we have a future blogger in the family?!

Do you like having your picture taken? Or do you prefer to be the one taking the pictures? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Summer In Spring OOTD Bloopers

Hello everyone and welcome to the blooper reel from my Summer In Spring OOTD! Today, we are going to take a look at the “yikes” shots that definitely didn’t make the cut the first time around – and for very good reason! Let’s get started:

That face you make when there’s a river behind you and you chose this as your background:

What can I say, guys? If you’ve got it, flaunt it lol. That about does it for my Summer In Spring OOTD but keep it posted on lifewithlilred for lots more fun and OOTD shoots! ❀

Summer In Spring OOTD Bonus Pictures

Hello everyone and welcome to some bonus pictures from my Summer In Spring OOTD featuring myself AND Johnny! πŸ˜€ He is so sweet to always be taking pictures of me and sometimes I just have to return the favor by making him take pictures with me lol. I truly have the best blog husband in the world and my OOTDs wouldn’t be possible without him. Thanks for forever indulging me, babe! Now, let’s get to it:

image_50457345(1)image_50441985(1)image_50400513(1)image_50423553(3)image_50444289(6)image_50416897(2)image_50439937(1)image_50372353

Of course, I love taking OOTD pictures for the fashion and I very much enjoy being in front of the camera. But, the best part is the time that I get to spend with Johnny who has been my master photographer since we started dating. In fact, when he proposed, he disguised it as him just taking OOTD pictures to surprise me. It was perfect. ❀

lifewithlilred is so special to me and it warms my heart to be able to share it with Johnny. It’s such fun to work together and make my visions happen and I know that no matter how ready he is to be done taking pictures, he will always oblige when I say “just a few more”. What an angel and I am the luckiest gal in the whole world! ❀ ❀ ❀

Does anyone help you with the content on your page? What is your favorite thing to post about? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

PS: Be sure to tune in tomorrow for my April Finishes and then it’s on to some bloopers from my Summer In Spring OOTD!

Polka Dots, Please OOTD Bonus Pictures

Polka Dots, Please OOTD Bonus Pictures

Hello everyone and welcome to some bonus pictures from my Polka Dots, Please OOTD! As you will see in tomorrow’s post, there are way more bloopers from this shoot than there were winners. The lighting was wonky, Johnny and I were insanely full from Easter dinner, and it was a bit chilly so we were more concerned about just getting things done!

In true Ohio fashion, it’s going from snowing and freezing rain this past week to summer level hot so be on the lookout for more OOTD shoots soon! But now, let’s look at a few extra shots that didn’t quite make the first cut:

image_50428417(2)image_50735105image_50462209image_50446081image_50440961(1)

Have you ever had one of those days when you look into a mirror and you look even more fabulous than normal? You then think that it’s the perfect opportunity to take some pictures but can’t take a good one to save your own life? That’s kind of what this shoot was like! Despite a full stomach and cold temps, your girl was feeling herself. Then, I scrolled through the final results and I was just like “oh” lol.

No one ever said a blogger’s job was easy and with each passing shot, my commentary in my head was “blooper, blooper, yikes, DAYUM, blooper, etc”. Haha but I promised bonus shots and bonus shots is what you’re all gonna get! The hardest part of OOTD pictures is not taking the pictures themselves but finding the good in them after it’s all said and done. Kind of like finding the needle in the haystack of one hundred selfies that all look the same!

Were these my favorite pictures of all time? Not in the slightest. But, I didn’t have much to work with from this shoot so what can you do? When my confidence was barely above ground level, I would never post pictures that were nothing short of amazing. I don’t consider these bonus pictures to be my best work but that’s okay!

OOTD pics are not always home runs and, sometimes, you end up with a billion pictures that do nothing for you. That was the case with this shoot and I am posting them anyways. No matter how your pics turn out, I encourage you all to get in front of the camera, try it out, and post away. It will help build your confidence, you’ll have some fun, and see that it is still your best self even if the final result might not reflect it. ❀

How do you build your confidence? What are some of your picture taking pro tips? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Spring Skirt Savvy OOTD Bonus Pictures

Howdy everyone and welcome to some bonus pictures from my Spring Skirt Savvy OOTD! Tomorrow, tune in for a brand new edition of Lil Red’s Book Club and then we will be taking a look at the numerous bloopers from my shoot. Thanks to Johnny’s rapid fire picture taking, there was an equal amount of bloopers as there were winners lol. Now, let’s peep the ones that made the cut:

image_50407937(3)image_50416385(2)image_50443009image_50415617image_50405889(3)image_50425601(1)image_50461441(2)image_50414849(1)image_50421249(1)image_50427649(2)

Although I don’t get to take OOTD pictures as often as I would like, it is still one of my most favorite things to do for lifewithlilred. While I would have loved to go to a more scenic location to shoot for my Spring Skirt Savvy OOTD, the parking lot of my apartment worked just fine! I have actually always wanted to take pictures with my car because it is one of my most prized possessions. And, luckily for me, it rained the night before so the Little Red Love Machine was nice and clean. πŸ˜€

There is nothing that boosts my confidence quite like a good outfit and getting in front of the camera to capture it. When I was younger and America’s Next Top Model was the most popular thing on planet Earth, I always dreamed of being on that show. And, thanks to the ol’ blog, I can make those dreams come true even if it is just in front of my apartment haha.

While I will never work with Vogue level photographers, that’s okay because I have Johnny and that’s even better. He is seriously the best blog husband ever and puts up with my OOTD shoot antics like a champ. “Just a few more” is my mantra when he takes my pictures and he always obliges, which truly warms my cold bitter heart. I am a very lucky gal! ❀

My cure all for when I’m feeling down is getting dolled up and snapping some pics. Even if you are a bit camera shy, I encourage everyone to get their pictures taken when the mood suits. I think you’ll have some fun! πŸ™‚

Do you prefer to take pictures or be in front of the camera? What makes you feel confident? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah
