Suggestions For Home Improvements

There are many reasons you might find to make changes to your home. It could be something simple like there is a draft coming in or it might be purely emotional, you just want to update your surroundings. There isn’t a wrong reason for improving your property, but there are bad ways to go about it. Keep in mind that if you rent your home out, you may want to utilize the services of a property management company in Reno, NV (or wherever you are based) to handle these improvements so you can be kept free for other essential needs. Here, we are going to take a look at some of the ways you can make changes with meaning and purpose, with as little stress as possible:

Interior Decor:

There is plenty to discuss when it comes to updating your home, but the most common types of changes are through interior design. By breaking this section into different stages, we will explore some of the unique ways you can improve your home and use complementing features.

  • Painting & Wallpapering

We are going to start by looking at the decorating of your walls. You might prefer a painted wall and there will be readers who like a papered over effect. However, the most important thing to consider when it comes to this area of decorating is the color. The tones that you use in each room will set the mood and create the vibe that you want for them. This is why you should make sure you are exploring color psychology before getting started. Color psychology is the understanding of how different colors affect our mood and thought process.

For example, blues are said to have a calming influence on the user of a room which makes it ideal for living rooms and other areas of the home that are designed for relaxation. Whereas red is a stimulant which means it is better suited to a creative space like a home office or the kitchen. The idea is to find the colors that suit each room and your tastes effectively.

  • Flooring

If you’re starting off by addressing the walls, then the next logical step is to move on to the floor. Once you have sorted the color scheme that you are going to be working with you will quickly find out if the flooring that you currently have in place suits the new look of your room or if it needs an update, as well.

Color is going to play a role but, more importantly in this case, is the style of flooring that you want to utilize. There are many different options when it comes to choosing a floor these days from carpet to hardwood and everything in between. But the way you decide should have more to do with the room you are using rather than anything else. In the same way that color psychology is designed to give you an idea of how to make the room meets its requirements, so too does the choice of floor. A carpet promotes comfort and warmth which makes it ideal for bedrooms and living rooms. However, if you spill something on it, then a clean can be expensive and problematic, which means carpet in the kitchen is far from ideal!

Renovation:

There are, of course, bigger projects that you can take on when it comes to updating your home and ways to go about making sure they are done right. The aim with renovation should be to ensure you are enhancing your property and that the decisions you are making fit exactly what you want. Renovating a property can be an expensive and inconvenient thing to do so getting it right the first time is essential:

  • Extension

One of the biggest changes you can make to your property is to get an extension, but this can mean any number of things. The most popular type of building renovation to a property tends to be either a loft or garden extension. The idea is to get more space for your home and achieving that might require planning permission. This is where hiring someone who knows what they’re doing when it comes to extensions is important. Not all changes to the design of your property requires planning permission, but you do not want to be on the wrong side of the law when it comes to these changes – it can get expensive quickly.

An alternative to the traditional type of extension is to use the space underneath your property by developing a basement. Once upon a time these rooms were famous for lacking light and being targets for damp, but thanks to progress in engineering and changes to the way they are designed basements are very much the future of extensions. They are ideal for a playroom for the kids or an entertainment area with cinema decor.

  • Assess The Roof

Assessing your home’s roof is one of the key things that you can do that will help you when it comes to making the right choices for home improvements. Many people take the roof for granted, and in many ways it is the most important and essential area of the home. It’s the shelter that protects you from the elements and from potential intruders, and you need to make sure you have the best possible roof you can for the future of the home. There are several steps that will help you to achieve this and it is a vital part of improving the aesthetics and the safety of your property.

The best place to start with is to make sure that you hire a roofing repair company to help you assess the damage that comes with the home, and this is something that you need to keep in mind right now. There are so many different elements that are involved in helping you improve your home and your roof and knowing what you are dealing with is one of the best places to start. Experts in Roof Repair and Replacement Services can give you the peace of mind that your home is ready to withstand the weather and keep your family safe.

  • Doors & Windows

One of the things we have mentioned at the top is the need to address a draft or something similar. This isn’t the most fun project, but it’s a change you need to make. That doesn’t mean that you should settle for whatever you can get. Instead, you should use this as an opportunity to think about the windows and doors that you have and how you would like to see them improved. Companies like Renewal by Andersen windows will be able to provide you with a service that combines style with necessity, like preventing drafts. As you are planning a home face lift with new windows, it is important to keep in mind codes and regulations to ensure optimum success. If you are unsure of any of these guidelines, simply enter a search for “Florida building code for windows” (or your local area) so your renovation can go right the first time.

Outside:

Finally we are going to take a brief look at how you can improve the outside area of your home, specifically the garden. If you are fortunate enough to have a nice open space at the back of your property, then you should make sure you are using it to its full potential with some of the following:

  • Furniture

A good garden table and chairs is the starting point for making the most of your garden. Along with a large shade umbrella on the sunny days and a fire pit for the chilly fall nights. Whatever you’re planning on, make sure you are cultivating a space that is usable, encourages you to get outside, and is comfortable for guests.

  • Gardening

For some people, playing with plants and crops is a hobby but for others is just isn’t their idea of fun. However, you will want to be looking at something that pleases your eye so invest some time in finding easy to grow plants and bushes for your garden. Things like pansies and sunflowers will grow without much attention and will give you something to look at as you sit on your furniture in the summer months.

Improvements on your home help raise its market value and provides a more comfortable space for your family. Use some of the ideas above to help get you started!

4 Home Décor Doggy Dos And Don’ts To Live By

4 Home Décor Doggy Dos And Don’ts To Live By

Everybody wants the American dream – the job, the partner, and the house. Decorating is something homeowners take seriously because it impacts lives. Living in a dark, dingy property is bound to make you miserable. Likewise, renovating every other week and spending a small fortune on repair won’t help your stress levels. You want a dream home, and that means the interior has to be perfect.

Unfortunately, as a pet owner, this isn’t always easy. As well as being cuddly and adorable, dogs are messy and can cause havoc. One minute they’re chilling and the next they’re chewing anything in sight. Even when pooches are happy and relaxed, the hair from their fur cramps your home’s style. Yep, it isn’t straightforward to be an animal lover and a fashionista at the same time. But, with home décor dos and don’ts for dogs, you can finally live in peace without fear of coming home to a scratched-up sofa. Here’s what to do and what not to do:

Don’t: Splurge Too Much

It’s nice to splurge on furniture or rugs; it helps to turn the house into a home. The problem, is that dogs aren’t clean freaks and they will tread things through the house, especially in the winter. What you’re left with is a permanently stained armchair or shag rug, which will be marked forever. No matter what you do, nothing will lift the stain so it’s money down the drain.

Cheap alternatives might not look as good but they are easier to replace. Plus, the fabrics aren’t as thick or deep so the marks tend to come out with the help of baking soda and warm, soapy water. If you do buy something expensive that you want to preserve, make sure it comes with a guarantee.

Of course, you can spend money on features that are expensive yet don’t have the same risk. Tiles are perfect examples. High-quality tiles are costly and instantly boost the appeal of a home, and they don’t leave permanent stains. Thanks to the texture, dirt and grime are straightforward to wipe off with a little bit of elbow grease.

Do: Put Breakables Out Of Reach

Most homes have things that are fancy and expensive. They are also fragile and break at the slightest touch. With a canine jumping up and down, they are perilous objects to decorate with unless they are in a safe place. That means, putting them out of reach where nobody, not even a playful Labrador, can get to them.

First, place breakable items on shelves. As long as the shelves are a couple of feet from the ground, they should be secure yet still in your eye line. Another option, is to hang them from the walls. Hanging art is the new thing for pet owners as they create a dramatic feel and are out of your pet’s reach. https://www.dnainfo.com/new-york/20160718/midtown/hang-heavy-pictures-mirrors-objects-how has more.

Last but not least, don’t forget about cabinets. Because they’re sturdy, they’re hard to push over or knock down. But, thanks to the glass, you can still put your delicate features on display so that the interior doesn’t take a hit. Put one in the corner of the room up against a wall to make it doubly safe from energetic canines.

Don’t: Leave Furniture Uncovered

Furniture is often the focal point of any room. Walk into the kitchen, living room, or bathroom and the first thing you’ll notice are the fixtures. So, it’s imperative that they are in as good a condition as physically possible for a long time. Furniture doesn’t come cheap and homeowners don’t want to replace them regularly. The good news, is that covers are available which prevent dogs from making a mess.

Slipcovers aren’t the most attractive accessories in the world, but they do make a difference. From scratches to marks to bodily functions, the plastic sheet bears the brunt of the damage. Owners whose pooches suffer from a lack of bladder training might want to check out https://petparentsbrand.com/products/dog-belly-bands. There are some things slipcovers can’t prevent that doggie diapers can.

To spruce things up, you can swap slipcovers for throws and blankets. As long as they don’t potty everywhere, a throw is a perfect protector. Plus, it’s machine-washable so you don’t have to throw it out when it gets dirty. Put it in the washing machine and it will come out as good as new. Https://www.thespruce.com/great-pet-friendly-fabrics-1976777 is an excellent source of inspiration if you need it.

Do: Be The Boss

Although there are ways to limit the damage, the best course of action is to take control. As the owner, the dog should listen to your commands. This doesn’t mean you need to be a dictator; more you should set rules they have to follow. There is still some flexibility as long as they are in the right place. Take a doggy corner as an example. Choose a part of the room where it doesn’t matter if they molt and get fur on the floor or mark with their muddy paws. A pet-zone gives you and your dog the ability to relax without always thinking about the furniture. Pick somewhere with a hardwood or laminate floor to avoid stains.

With a pet, there are precautions you have to take to maintain the décor in your home. Use the tips above to get your place chic AND pet friendly.

Choose Contractors The Smart Way

Standard
Choose Contractors The Smart Way

Sometimes your DIY skills are up there and able to patch up those little problems around your home. But, there are times when even your enthusiastic amateur skills are not going to do it, and that’s the time you need to call the experts in. But how do you know when you’re getting ripped off when that job you could almost do is escalating in cost and not going the way you think it should? Here are our top tips on how to find and choose a reliable contractor and how to avoid the great rip off:

Word of mouth:

By far, the best indicator of a reliable contractor is a recommendation or two from friends or family. Your loved ones don’t want to see you paying over the odds, so ask around if you need a chimney repair recommendation or that plumbing finally sorted out.

Online review:

If you are lacking in real life reviews, then turn to an online version for more recommendations. Simply enter a search for “South Jersey Contractors” or your local area and see what you can find. There are sites that will rate traders in your area but, if you’re still not sure, have a look at their website and take note of the reviews left by previous customers. You then have the option of calling them up to see if the review is legitimate and why they would recommend them.

Get quotes:

If you want to see if your preferred contractor is in line with others in the area, then invite more than one over to give you a quote on the work. Three is often a good number as it gives you a middle figure to work with and lets you know if the other two are way out either way.

Trust your gut:

You might not know much about electrical systems but you do know how to read people, so if you’re talking to a contractor and you get a bad feeling, go with it. You don’t have to have anyone in your home that makes you feel uncomfortable, even if they offer a competitive rate.

Don’t scrimp the details:

Be sure to look for more than just the cost when it comes to hiring a contractor. You’re going to want to know their start and completion dates, how early they start, how late they finish, and if they’ll be working alone or with a colleague. Will your WiFi connection be affected (important if you’re working from home) and how much overall disruption are you likely to face?

Don’t be afraid to ask the obvious and get your questions taken seriously. Rope in family and friends for help and suggestions and find a contractor who can deliver your project on time and to your budget.

3 Simple Changes For A Hassle Free Garden

3 Simple Changes For A Hassle Free Garden

Some people absolutely love gardening. They don’t mind being out there on their hands and knees weeding or mowing the lawn and tending to their plants. But for some people, it’s a bit of a chore. You can’t just leave it because it’ll get out of control, but there is a long list of other things you’d rather be doing than maintaining your garden. There are some simple ways that you can save time with your gardening but, even then, it’s a pain if you don’t enjoy it. If you’re fed up with gardening, here are a few simple changes you can make for a low maintenance garden:

Pick The Right Plants:

Every plant has different needs and some of them are a lot harder to look after than others. If you pick the right plants and go for things that don’t need much care, you can massively reduce the amount of time that you spend in the garden. Conifers and some varieties of shrub are great for filling space in the garden and they don’t need much attention at all. Ferns and daffodils are great, as well, because they look good and they’ll grow fine when left to their own devices. Visit https://www.millracegardencentre.co.uk/blog/18-easy-to-maintain-flowers-plants-for-lazy-gardeners/ for a list of easy to maintain plants for the garden. As long as you fill your garden with the right plants, you shouldn’t need to spend much time looking after them.

Get Rid Of The Lawn:

Pushing a heavy lawnmower around is one of the worst gardening jobs there is, especially if you’ve got a big yard. Why not save yourself the hassle and get rid of the lawn entirely? You can just take it up and replace it with a nice patio, instead (you can get some great deals at https://www.stylemasterpatios.com.au). It’ll give you a lovely space where you can put a couple of chairs and a table for outdoor dining and relaxing and you’ll never have to worry about mowing the lawn again.

If you like the idea of having a lawn but you hate looking after it, you should look into artificial grass. There’s some good stuff out there that looks almost identical to the real thing and, once it’s laid, you’ll never have to do anything with it. You could also look into lawn care specialists to maintain your yard for you. With a professional team looking after your yard, you can have all of the lush greenery you crave without having to lift a finger.

Put In Fences:

Hedges give the garden a nice green border but they grow fast and, unless you want your garden to look overgrown and messy, you’ll have to trim them all the time. If you’ve got them all the way around the garden, that’s a big job. You can save yourself a lot of time if you take the hedges out and put some fences in, instead. It also makes your garden a lot more secure which is important because that’s a common entry point for burglars.

If you can’t be bothered to spend hours every weekend looking after your garden, you can make these simple changes and spend the time doing something you really like, instead!

Incorporating Reclaimed Wood Into Your Home

Incorporating Reclaimed Wood Into Your Home

Interior design trends tend to sweep the world by storm. But, many of us feel reluctant to engage with them in fear that they will soon fizzle out and we will be left with a property that ends up looking a little dated. However, there are certain trends that have longevity to them and are actually beneficial in regards to more than mere aesthetic value! Reclaimed wood is likely to be one of these. If you’ve spent a little time browsing Pinterest boards or glossy magazines for interior design inspiration lately, chances are that you’ve seen the words “reclaimed wood” thrown about a fair amount – so what actually is reclaimed wood and should it be something that you’re paying attention to? Read on to find out!

Why Reclaimed Wood?

Reclaimed wood is essentially reused or recycled wood. It is wood that has a past and has previously been used in some way or another. Generally speaking, reclaimed wood that is used in interior design has already existed in a home elsewhere and can generally date back as far as the eighteenth century. So why use this wood with history? Well, there are various benefits that come hand in hand with it. The first, is that it tends to have a rustic look and feel to it. This can make your home feel more vintage or have a unique aesthetic. It also has environmental benefits. New wood (which is often unsustainably sourced) tends to contribute towards deforestation and habitat destruction. Why engage with this when there’s already perfectly good wood out there? Be careful to not mix reclaimed wood up with salvaged wood – this is wood that has been cut and stored for several years, but that has simply not been used. It is the interior design equivalent of deadstock vintage clothing.

Sourcing Reclaimed Wood:

It can be relatively difficult to guarantee that any reclaimed wood that you purchase is genuinely reclaimed wood. Some people have noticed that they can sell reclaimed wood at a higher cost, so will simply attempt to make new wood look a little distressed and pass it off as the real deal. To ensure that the reclaimed wood you are using is genuine and of good quality, use reliable suppliers like Manomin Resawn Timbers. They will be able to provide you with everything that you need!

Incorporating Reclaimed Wood Into Your Home:

Now, there are various ways that you can incorporate reclaimed wood into your home effectively. Some inspirational options include:

Hopefully, the above information has helped you to see some of the benefits of reclaimed wood and may have given you some inspiration to start incorporating it into your home!

Important Decisions When Upgrading Your Home’s Exterior

Important Decisions When Upgrading Your Home’s Exterior

If you’re planning to improve your home over the festive period or in the new year, the best solution is to start from the outside. Internal changes will count for very little if the outside aspects fail to offer the protection and foundations of success. Knowing that you wish to upgrade external parts of the home is one thing, but doing it in a productive manner is another thing altogether. Making the right decisions requires careful planning and preparation. Here are the issues that you need to consider:

The Color Of Brickwork:

Your emotional reaction to the property begins as soon as it comes into sight, and the color of the walls will have a telling impact. Some people prefer to leave the brickwork as it is, but others like to paint it to bring a fresh energy to the home. With so many colors to choose from, you need to think about how it will look alongside any other cladding materials that may be used. This is a job that can be completed on a DIY basis, although you may still wish to hire a professional, too.

The Style Of Roofing:

The roof is one of the most important elements of any property. It influences the appearance, protection, and the insulation all at once. First and foremost, any roof should be kept in perfect health. Nonetheless, it’s important to make the right decision on style. There are many contributing factors to consider including your location and the overall style of the property. Metal is an increasingly common option, and you can visit https://roofingwarnerrobinsga.com to learn more. A great roof will enhance the entire home.

ext1

Very cool!

The Quality Of Windows:

New windows are an upgrade that we made not too long ago, and can confirm that it was worth every penny. Alongside the roofing, they have an integral role to play in the overall insulation. Moreover, their influence on the look of the home is noticed from both inside and out.

There are many shapes and styles to choose from, but the key is to opt for thickness. Depending on how close your home is to the public pathways, you may wish to consider using window films. These items provide the additional privacy to help you relax while you’re enjoying the home.

The Type Of Security:

No home feels 100% right until the security is under control. You can have a positive impact by ensuring that doors and windows are blessed with the right locks. In truth, though, adding external security should be on the agenda, too. The right facilities should deter any wannabe thieves.

In addition to the latest monitored security cameras, you can use automated gates and voice access systems. This will promote even greater safety. It should prevent burglaries while it also collects evidence should the worst occur. Best of all, it’ll give your family added peace of mind.

The Function Of Your Garden:

If your home has a backyard, you should make the most of it. The right choices will add a whole new dimension to the property while also adding esthetic beauty and added value. When done well, the transformation can turn this into your favorite part of the home.

There are many options at your disposal, such as building a deck or using a shipping container to create a pool. Sheds, summer houses, and other structures can all be built too – and usually without planning permission. A beautiful garden will go a long way to making the house a home.

ext2

 Lovely!

The Selection Of Plants:

Some homeowners will opt for a vegetable patch or want to grow trees in the garden. However, the flowerbeds aren’t your only option. Hanging baskets can be added to brighten up the decks and porch areas. Likewise, potted plants are ideal for making a big statement. When choosing flowers and plants for the external areas of the home, it’s important that you consider which seasons they will bloom. Moreover, the colors should complement the overall vibe of the external spaces.

The Driveway Materials:

It’s very easy to overlook the importance of your driveway. In truth, though, it’s one of the first parts that you interact with. As such, it’ll have a huge influence on your impressions of the home as well as the views of others. The quality of materials could impact your car tires, too. The choice of material will largely be determined by the dimensions of the driveway and your personal tastes. Whichever you choose, visit https://drivewaysealcoatingusa.com to seal the driveway. This will ensure that it continues to sparkle for years to come.

The Choice Of Furnishings:

Small details hold such significance when designing a home. You can give the outside of your property a serious boost in style and grandeur with the most basic upgrades. Investing in a better mailbox is just one example of what can be achieved. Upgrading the door numbers, nameplate, knocker, or bell can have a similar impact. If nothing else, going the extra mile in this field will establish a sense of ownership. You cannot underestimate its influence for a second.

ext3

Upgrade, perhaps?

The Source Of Lighting:

Lighting is a central focus when building the atmosphere inside a room. However, it can be equally useful for the external parts of the home. External lights can add beauty, extend your time in the garden, and be used as another security feature. Spotlights, floodlights, and solar panel garden post lights are all great options. When choosing LED solutions, you can also create different color patterns to give the home an entirely new esthetic. Overlook this aspect, and you’ll never unlock the full potential.

Give everyone the best first impression of your home by using the tips above!

Oh, Christmas Tree

Oh, Christmas Tree

Hiiii! With the holidays right around the corner, I thought that I would share with all of you what my family Christmas tree looks like. Fortunately for me, I get to see it year round, because we never take our tree down. In fact, my family has gotten into the habit of putting other holiday themed decor on it like Easter eggs and Happy Harvest gear for fall. So, don’t be surprised if you see some ornaments that don’t quite belong! Haha, take a look:

oh2oh4oh7ohoh1oh6oh5oh3

As you can see, we have a very large collection of ornaments on the Mushenheim family tree! My dad loves travel themed ornaments and I always try and get him one on every vacation we go on or any trips that I take by myself. Most of my siblings have followed suit on that tradition, so my dad has ornaments from all of our travels. So fun!

Other than the vacation ornaments, many of the ones that are on our tree date back to decor from both sets of my grandparents and from when my siblings and I were little. I think that, despite it being a little quirky, all of us like having the tree up at home, because it’s just one of our “things”. And, it’s nice to feel some holiday cheer no matter what the season is. 🙂

Do you have any travel themed ornaments on your tree? Do you have a favorite ornament in your collection? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Making Your Home Feel Christmasy On A Budget

Standard
Making Your Home Feel Christmasy On A Budget

Christmas is just around the corner so it’s about that time where we begin to decorate our homes in a manner that St. Nick would be proud of. Unfortunately, we all know that Christmas decorations can be a bit pricey, which might make you want to say “bah humbug” and promise to decorate next year. But, instead of throwing in the towel, you should get creative and find new ways to still make your home feel like it’s worthy of having Santa Claus and his reindeer park on your roof. Decorating your home can be done on a budget and it doesn’t have to feel tacky or last minute. As long as you stick to the fundamentals, you’ll always find some kind of deal and items that will suit the occasion:

Sparkling light:

What are the most recognized colors of Christmas? Looking at any Christmas tree that is in the center of any notable major city you will see red and green along with gold or yellow. But there’s one hidden color that can make all the difference in the world, and that’s silver. Silver is the unsung hero of Christmas décor, because it tends to blend in and, rather than just look pretty on it’s own, it helps all the other colors come to life; especially red. So consider buying a silver candle holder which you can use to create an effect of sparkling light. It’s cheap, but it’s very eloquent in the way that it spreads natural and manmade light around.

Something for leisure:

Infusing Christmas into otherwise un-Christmasy items can also be a fun way to go when it comes to decorating. Using the ibotta app, you can go onto Etsy and choose a personalized Christmas cushion that has your family name written in the middle of an artistic wreath. If you do, you can stand to get a 6% cash back coupon which can be used as extra pocket money or towards another purchase. It helps to keep informed about these things so that you’re not spending more than you have to.

A tartan home:

Thinking of Christmas clothing, one of the key items we tend to look over is the tartan ribbon. The tartan pattern and style are used in many kids’ clothing such as coats, mittens, socks and scarves around this time of year as well as for adults. Get some tartan ribbons and tie them in a bow all around your home such as around the stairs, around the door handle of the front door or hanging off the kitchen cupboard door.

If you’re on a budget this year for Christmas, then consider style over accessories. Then, use a little imagination, and you’ll have a house decked out for the holidays!

Solutions For A Home That’s Seen Better Days

Standard
Solutions For A Home That’s Seen Better Days

It might be tempting to throw in the towel if you’ve grown tired of your home’s appearance. As the years go by, a household’s design can quickly become dated and forlorn. Things start breaking, clutter starts to shrink the rooms, and your house no longer feels as fresh as it once did. If you’re out of ideas to improve the situation, then here are some solutions for a home that’s seen better days:

Do more with your space:

The first solution that might help a worn-out home is to do more with the space. For starters, you should consider decluttering. Sometimes, a household simply appears old and worn out because it’s cluttered. Getting rid of possessions you no longer need will help to open the available space in your home and also create a minimalistic layout. With increased spaciousness, there are more opportunities to reinvent your humble abode.

Of course, if you assess that your home is just too small for you and your family, then it might be time to move on. You should do some research on the real estate market if this is the case. You might be able to find a property that’s better suited to the needs of your family. If you’ve cleared out your house and still feel like it’s too small for you, then this might be your best option. On the plus side, a minimalist aesthetic is more attractive to potential buyers. If you’re going to sell your old house, then stripping it back in terms of design might help you on your mission.

Give it a better external face:

If you really want to improve your worn-out home, then you need to give as much attention to its exterior design as the interior. A modern household on the inside might not have the same impact if it looks shabby on the outside. Start off by cleaning up your front yard. Putting away loose items, pulling up weeds that are coming through concrete cracks, and cleaning the driveway are all simple ways to spruce up your household exterior. Maybe you should plant some flowerbeds and even get hanging flower baskets for either side of your front door, too. This will give your home’s front face some eye-grabbing visuals. If the exterior of your house needs more TLC than what minor changes can provide, you might want to consider house rendering to improve the aesthetic and hide imperfections. It can make a huge difference and will have your home looking as good as when you first moved in.

Use lighting to create an impact:

Lighting can really create an impact in a home if used correctly. As shown in the picture below, neutral wall paint can help to reflect daylight and brighten up a room. Even using different flooring can help to put your house’s lighting to better use. Rather than using carpet in your home, which can quickly become tacky and unappealing, you could use laminated wooden flooring to help reflect light and brighten up your home. If you want to retain the comfort factor, then rugs can easily achieve the same effect as carpet without losing the chic aesthetic of wooden flooring. Plus, natural materials such as wood are classic and timeless; your home will look fresh and modern on an endless basis.

By installing a frameless, all-glass door, you are keeping this openness which helps bring together all the elements such as the decorative tiles, bath fixtures, and all other vanities inside. Traditional shower curtains or doors, on the other hand, work against the open feel since it tends to create a closed, defined space.

If you are daydreaming about giving your bathroom an update, you can get inspiration from Glass ShowerDirect.com for ideas on shapes, styles, and sizes. With an all glass shower door, you can turn every evening into a spa-like experience. Doesn’t that sounds fabulous after a long day?!

They Aren’t Just For Looks:

A door built to last completely sums up the frameless, all-glass shower enclosures. With a standard thickness ranging from ⅜ to ½ inch, frameless doors are sturdy, structurally sound, and safe. All glass shower doors are also made of tempered glass which is very hard to break or shatter, so if going all glass seems a little too risky for you, you haven’t found the right kind of shower door yet.

Most common questions from homeowners when considering frameless, all-glass doors are safety since the edges aren’t protected by frame barriers. While we can understand why it might be a bit concerning, the shower door’s edges are filed down to be soft and smooth, thus removing the danger of being cut or otherwise hurt for anyone going in and out of your shower.

In addition, thanks to the seal-in technology used in all frameless, glass shower doors, they have watertight seals which makes leakage near impossible. These doors are not just stylish, but they’re also very functional. Moreover, since there is little to no metal used in making them, homeowners need not worry about dealing with corroded parts. Win, win, win!!!

Simple Cleaning and Maintenance

Installing a frameless, all-glass shower door in your bathroom isn’t just about appearance, it’s also a practical decision. Since frameless glass enclosures do not have the structural edge of aluminum framing, it is much easier to clean and restore due to its trackless design.

They Can Fit Any Space:

Frameless, all-glass shower doors can be designed to fit any bathroom space, no matter what look you’re going for. If you aren’t a fan of the boxy look, you can opt for circular, triangular, or even oval frameless doors to fit your bathroom space while still creating the same elegant effect.
