Fetching In Flowers OOTD

Hi! This past Friday we had the greatest joy of celebrating my best friend’s engagement and it was the most wonderful time! A gathering of bestie and her fiance’s family and friends all met at HiHo Brewing Company for some drinks and good old fashioned Tom foolery and we were so honored to share in the happiness of the beautiful couple. Of course, a partay called for some fancy dress and I LOVE styling special occasion OOTDs. It was, unfortunately, hot and muggy AF on Friday but this little fit kept me somewhat cool. Let’s just say I was thrilled to take it off as soon as I got home lol check it out:

Button Down Dress: Zara

Platform Heels: Marc Fisher, TJMaxx

Earrings: Lucky Brand

To begin styling this look, I knew I wanted to wear a dress but the question was which one. A majority of the dresses in my collection felt way too casual while others were too fancy for a get together at a brewery. I needed something hey diddle diddle, right down the middle for the event and was in business when my eyes landed on this little number by Zara. This button down dress is oh so chic with its silky material, slightly oversized fit, inky black flowers, and corset tie sides. It feels dressy without feeling like the queen of England and just right for a summer evening celebration. It was a huge hit at the party and blessedly no one could tell I was sweating buckets underneath lol.

It was WAY too hot for any extra additions to this outfit, which now brings us to shoes and accessories. I wanted the striking pattern of the dress to do all of the talking so kept things simple with my go to pair of Marc Fisher platforms. The ballet slipper pink added such a sweet pastel pop to the bold dress which I adored because the easy choice would have been a pair of black heels! For one more pop of color, I added my favorite pair of dangly turquoise cross earrings and was ready to see my bestie in the best style! ❤

Although this outfit didn’t have many bells and whistles, it felt so effortlessly cool and sometimes simple is best. Stay tuned for the Blooper Reel coming soon!

Fetch Review

Hello!! Way back to last October, I went out to dinner with my bestie at our favorite Mexican restaurant. As we were paying our bill, I noticed she was snapping a picture of her receipt and learned that it was for an app called Fetch. She explained that all you had to do was take pictures of your receipts and you would earn points towards gift cards. So, I signed up, we both got points for her referral, and I was ready to take the Fetch app by storm!

When I first started using the app, I thought it was great! It was exciting to see the points climb with each receipt scanned and you would get a bonus scanning one receipt per day. With your receipt, you could spin a wheel for additional points and that really helped speed up the process. Another thing that made a difference in my point count was occasionally scanning receipts that I unknowingly purchased “featured deals” with. This would normally happen during big grocery shopping trips – one time I got twelve hundred points from one receipt. 😀

Despite constantly increasing my points with almost daily receipts and “spin to win” bonus points, it still felt like I had a long way to go. A ten dollar Amazon gift card alone costed twelve thousand five hundred points! Then, Fetch eliminated the bonus points and my account began moving at a snail’s pace. It took me from the beginning of October to the end of March to get my ten dollar Amazon gift card and it felt like a drop in the bucket for using the app almost daily for over a half a year.

As I have continued using the app, I find myself wondering why I even bother and am probably going to delete it soon. These receipt scan apps are, honestly, more trouble than they’re even worth. If you are consistently referring friends and shopping deals on Fetch, I’m sure it can be a somewhat lucrative tool. However, if you’re like me who has no friends and never shops any of the deals, you are in for a slow going process. Am I happy to have an extra ten bucks on Amazon? Sure. Was it worth saving and scanning receipts for such a long period of time? Meh… Not really.

If you are thinking the receipt scan apps will have you cashing out immediately, it is not like that whatsoever. They sound awesome until you realize how much effort goes into getting one gift card!

Have you used any receipt scanning apps before? What did you think about it? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Hello!!! I used to be an avid user of the site InboxDollars and haven’t been on it in weeks. InboxDollars is a survey taking website to earn money for gift cards and I used to get Amazon cash pretty frequently with their paid emails. Then, they did away with them and I haven’t visited the page since. Luckily, my bestie introduced me to her favorite gift card app called Fetch when we were at dinner last week. I have been using it every day since and I am obsessed!

Fetch is really neat because literally all you have to do is take a picture of receipts from purchases and you earn points for gift cards. The receipts can be any price and from anywhere. In fact, I just submitted a receipt that was barely over a dollar from McDonald’s lol. You guys know I love a crispy Diet Coke! Fetch is a handy little app and I thought I would share it with all of you. Why not get something back from the items or services you are buying anyways?! I am already a fifth of the way there to a ten dollar Amazon gift card – it’s that quick and easy.

Below is my referral code so we can both earn points when you create your own Fetch account. Here’s to free money!

If the answer is yes, then do let me know. Becauuuuuse, I have the opportunity to begin working with an affiliate company that will give me a percentage of the cut if I have readers that purchase clothing and beauty products similar to what yours truly is rocking. But, the trick is that I would need to update my blog to a business plan, which would cost me way more per year. So, I only want to do it if I’m one hundred percent sure that my darlings will participate. Let your girl know!

Are you a member of any affiliate programs? What are your experiences with them? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah
