Easter Extravaganza OOTD Bloopers

Hello everyone and welcome to the blooper reel from my Easter Extravaganza OOTD! My Easter was short and sweet with a quick visit to my mom and dad’s for some lunch. We just ended up getting a take out meal from Giant Eagle and everything was so good. So good and SO very filling! After our lunch paired with champagne, I was ready to go home, put on my pajamas, and sleep for the rest of the week lol. Of course, it wouldn’t be a holiday without getting dressed up in your Sunday best to just eat food. Despite being in my Sunday best, these pics were the absolute worst:

Although Easter breaks my rules of never doing anything on a Sunday, I was pretty excited for it. We were going to do an Easter egg hunt for my sweet nieces and I couldn’t wait to assemble the eggs with candy treats. Then, my sister ended up having to work and Ohio did that typical Ohio thing… It rained all weekend so any outdoor egg hunts were no longer an option anyways. I’ll be looking forward to having a belated egg hunt with better weather soon. ❤

Another Ohio uh oh will actually be happening today. In my neck of the woods, we are in a path of full totality for the solar eclipse. It has been the hot buzz here for over a month and there are countless festivals and events taking place. For once, people are traveling from all over just to come to Ohio lol. Unfortunately, I don’t think anyone is going to be getting the show they expected because it will be cloudy all day. This has been a “what if” joke online and leave it up to my state to make good on it. Maybe next solar eclipse four hundred years later… 😀

Like the weather in Ohio, the blooper pictures are never the best. But, hey, at least that’s to be expected with both of them!

Are you going to view the solar eclipse? Are you going to an event for it? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

A Night At The (Movie) Theater OOTD Bloopers

Hello everyone and welcome to the blooper reel from my Night At The (Movie) Theater OOTD! Last Saturday was one of the best nights ever because Johnny and I attended a screening of The Room hosted by Greg Sestero, AKA Mark. An event like this has been on my bucket list since I was fifteen and it finally happened almost exactly fifteen years later. Good things take time, I suppose! Maybe that’s why these bloopers turned out the way they did – this was an ultra speedy OOTD shoot because it was windy AF out lol. Let’s take a look:

I LOOK GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

image_50745089(2)

One thing that you might not know about yours truly is that I am not great at meeting new people. I definitely would consider myself an introverted extrovert and it takes me a while to get warmed up with people I’m not used to. I often leave these situations thinking “that wasn’t my best work”. Back in November, I was in an absolute tizzy before meeting Tim Misny for the first time so you could only imagine the state I was in before meeting Greg Sestero! Johnny, of course, was as cool as can be both times with his insistence of “he’s just a guy” lol.

I was a complete mess meeting Greg and I admit it wholeheartedly. It was just so crazy to be face to face with the person that I have seen more times than I can count in one of my all time favorite movies. I blabbered, I stuttered, and believe you me when I say I left that encounter feeling like the face palm emoji. Thankfully, Greg was just the nicest human being on planet Earth and I still felt welcomed while feeling ALL of the yikes. In fact, I sent him a Facebook message the following day and he replied! My best work? Not in a long shot. Still one of the best moments of my life? You KNOW it!

Meeting new people is difficult for me. Meeting celebrities is, clearly, even worse. But, hey, at least I own it!

Have you met any celebrities? What was an instance when a social situation wasn’t your best work? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Hello everyone and welcome to the blooper reel from my Date Night OOTD! Despite getting sick the following day, Johnny and I had a wonderful dinner date at Mike’s Place and I can’t wait for our next night out together. Here’s to hoping I don’t get sick again afterwards smh because that really would be just my luck! I loved the look that I created for date night and it was so fun to show it off. Let’s keep the good times rolling with some pics that are not the most love-worthy of the bunch lol. Check it out:

The irony is not lost on me that literally every time I take time off is because I am under the weather. I rarely take work days off because it does me no favors since I’m self employed. I wouldn’t say that I lived it up during my week of being sick, but I didn’t not enjoy the time to myself? I made my own little schedule of working from home for the first half of the day and then lounged with my shows until Johnny got home from work. Being able to put on whatever I wanted on the TV was SO freaking awesome and I felt spoiled by it even though I wasn’t feeling well.

Now that it’s back to work, I find myself yearning for my TV time around noon and I don’t know if that will ever go away. All I know is, that while being sick sucks, I was living my best life with that schedule! I mean seriously, how great is that? Work a handful of hours from home and then just be done? That’s the dream! I mean, I probably would get bored after a while but that didn’t happen at all when I was sick so who’s to say lol. Another thing I know for a fact is that I will be daydreaming about my sick leave schedule for the foreseeable future! 😀

It feels good to start getting back into the swing of things and now I have a new happy place for my mind to go to when I need it… On the couch, with my bunnies, watching all of the shows that Johnny despises!

What is one of your favorite TV shows? What is a show your partner likes that you can’t stand? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Hello everyone and welcome to the blooper reel from my Simple Stripes OOTD! I was most excited to break out my new top by Modern Works and loved how my outfit turned out. While it was nice to wear it now, I cannot wait to wear it tucked into some cute jean shorts this summer. Add a little wedge heel? Forget about it! As per ushe when Johnny and I take OOTD shots, it was freaking freezing out. On the bright side, we are really fine tuning our craft here and were back into the warmth three minutes later. Yes, it took me an hour to heat up by the space heater afterwards but that’s neither here nor there lol. Let’s take a look at some of these yikes shots:

One of my favorite things to do over the weekend with Johnny is play video games! We are avid fans of the Diablo series and are working our way through IV one quest at a time. We have the best time with it, but it’s always fun to try something new too. That is exactly what Johnny and I are doing! Recently, Johnny had the inspired idea that he could play through a game and then help me when I play it. He just beat Resident Evil IV and has been guiding me every step of the way as I do my best to blow up everything.

Resident Evil IV is my first time in almost thirty years of living that I have played a shooter game and I had no idea what to expect. We both assumed the game would be a hit or miss for me and, as it so happens, it’s a hit! I have always been interested in the Resident Evil franchise because horror and it’s cool to finally give one of the games a go. Having said that, this game is a pain in my ass lol. If I didn’t have Johnny holding my hand the whole time I would have quit within the first five minutes. Same situation if he didn’t take over from time to time when I can’t beat something. Major shout out to him this weekend because I’m almost halfway through the game now and about at the point when I think he’s about to start having to do everything for me haha. Super frustrating, yes. But, still a hoot to do together!

After I do or don’t finish Resident Evil IV, the next game Johnny is going to help me with is The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. I have wanted to play that game for so long and I can’t wait give it a try!

What is your favorite video game? What is the last game you beat? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Terrific Trench Coat OOTD Bloopers

Hello darlings and welcome to the blooper reel from my Terrific Trench Coat OOTD! I had been looking forward to wearing my new Solitaire trench coat since I got it and finally got to break it out this past Saturday. Johnny and I enjoyed a very lazy three day weekend together and the only thing we did was get lunch with my sister and nieces. We went to our favorite Mexican restaurant, El Meson, and it was divine as always. There is nothing like having a go to restaurant that hits just right every time! Maybe it was a bad idea wearing a brand new coat for a lunch date with my two fave little ladies, but everything turned out A-okay! These pics, not so much? Check it out:

Being around my nieces is such a blooper in and of itself. Raya is a year and a half old and Val will be turning five in March. They are at that age when literally everything they do and say is hilarious. The girls are nonstop energy and joy and I don’t think it’s humanly possible for them to sit still. In fact, with the cheerful music playing in the restaurant, Val just had to get up and dance and TT joined in for a twirl or two, or ten lol. Raya even did her best with a little side stepping action in that adorable way that only tiny walkers can. 😀

One of my fondest memories of Val is kind of a silly one. Two years ago when we took Kristen out for her birthday to Bomba (A new age Mexican eatery), our waitress approached the table. Before she had the chance to greet us, Val proudly proclaimed “Hi, I want cheese dip”. I was in stitches and also proud that she knew exactly what she wanted! Cheese dip is still a delicacy to Val Gal and we have to get some for her (And me to share!) whenever we go out to eat. This past time included. It’s nice to know that some things are never going to change no matter how old they get. ❤

A lunch date with all three of our best girls is just what Johnny and I needed. So glad I have my circle of people that I can depend on to always get Mexican food with me!

What is your favorite restaurant? Is your favorite food when you were little something that you still like now? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

New Matching T-Shirts!!

New Matching T-Shirts!!

Hello!! When Johnny and I are watching our favorite shows or movies, we tend to make comments like “I want that shirt” that whatever character is wearing. For example, in the movie Step Brothers, Will Ferrell wears a Pablo Cruise baseball tee that we both loved. So, I got two of them for us so we could match! Although we frequently point out the shirts we like while we’re vegging out, we never really do anything about it… Until now. As a Valentine’s Day treat, I ordered two matching T-shirts for me and Johnny. These are truly an example of “if you know, you know” because they will be hilarious if you get it and will make you scratch your head if you don’t lol. Check it out:

image_50428161(15)image_50457345(9)image_50385153(5)

Do you know what these shirts are from? If not, allow me to explain! Johnny and I are constantly quoting Flight of the Conchords and always enjoy watching their music videos from time to time. In their banger “Business Time” a “baggy T-shirt from the team building exercise you went to in 1999” is referenced and shown in the video. This is one of our favorite parts and I was tickled that the shirt existed when I looked it up. I mean, of course it did, but it was still a pleasant surprise! Our only regret is that we didn’t get them in a size too big to make it baggy lol.

The other shirt I got for us to match in simply states “Happy Birthday Jerusha”. This is from one of our all time favorite shows, Superstore. In one of the episodes, the store manager wants to take a picture for his wife, Jerusha’s, birthday with their huge brood of children. All of them are wearing a “Happy Birthday Jerusha” T-shirt, hence this purchase. We have seen every episode more times than I can count and, without fail, one of us brings up the fact that we need this shirt whenever this particular episode plays. It is exactly what I expected it to be and I am so glad that we finally have them!

If you got any of these slightly obscure references, kudos to you! If not, I can’t recommend watching these shows enough. Stay tuned because we will be rocking our new matching T’s together soon in a husband/wife photo shoot! 😀

What is your favorite Flight of the Conchords song? Who is your favorite character from Superstore? (I LOVE Dina!) I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Hello everyone and welcome to the blooper reel from my XOXO OOTD! In case you couldn’t tell, this was a Valentine’s Day outfit and guess what I’m doing right now?? Enjoying my first cup of coffee from the Keurig that Johnny gifted me with! This is the first time I have had a Keurig cup of coffee since the Great Kitchen Flood of 2022 when a pipe burst in my apartment building. Water was literally pouring out of the kitchen walls and it ruined a majority of my countertop appliances. It was gross and highly inconvenient lol. ANYWHO, the coffee is great; These pics are not! This past Saturday was a fantastic, wonderful day because Johnny and I got to hang out with our dear friend, Tim Misny. We made our way to Misnyland to create some content to show off the Valentine’s Day shirt that was released through MisnyMerch. On the front, it says “Tell me you love me” and on the back, it says “Or Tim Misny will make you pay”. Lol, classic! Not only is Tim’s merch cool AF, but it also does a lot of good too. All proceeds from each purchase goes towards supporting the Cleveland City Mission. This is a charity that is very close to Tim’s heart and I feel quite the same now. ❤ In fact, we sold over four hundred orders during the holiday season!

It is always such fun to do merch videos with Tim and it was even better this time around because Johnny was our videographer. We both thought he did a banner job for his first time doing anything remotely like that before. Videos are a whole different ball game than rapid fire OOTD shots! If you’d like to see the Part One and Part Two videos we made, visit me on social media! You can watch them on my Facebook page: Sarah Mushenheim. On my Instagram: @lifewithlilred94. OR on my blog’s Facebook page at: lifewithlilred . I hope you love them as much as Tim and I do. 🙂

I am pleased to say that none of these blooper faces made it into mine and Tim’s most recent content drop. They do, however, always have a very special home on lifewithlilred!

Who is your favorite internet personality? Do you prefer video or photo content? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Howdy! A brand new OOTD means brand new bloopers so it’s time to peep those from my Jeans & A V (Neck) outfit. Taking OOTD pics in the wintertime just freaking sucks lol. It’s cold, windy, and unpleasant and it’s the kind of weather that makes you want to go inside as soon as you step out. The day we took these pictures, we anticipated pleasant temps because *shocker* the sun was actually out! We got SO much more than we bargained for, however, and it freaking SUCKED! image_50755841(1)

Before I begin this story, let me first start by saying that Johnny and I have amazing neighbors in the Timber Top community. We are most fond of all of those we have had the pleasure of meeting and it makes the sprawling property feel more like a neighborhood rather than a billion apartments in close proximity to each other. Having said that, when Johnny and I take pictures in the winter – we don’t want to talk to anyone! We want to go out, be as quick as possible, and go back in to get warm.

As I mentioned, the sun was shining and it looked like it was going to be nice out. WRONG! It was frigid cold and the blustery wind was nonstop. Naturally, we would get stopped by one of our neighbors who was bundled up warm and ready for a chat. Johnny and I were not in the slightest. We ended up staying in the conversation for over fifteen minutes before it was blessedly over and still had pictures to take! I shit you guys not, after ten seconds of shooting Johnny goes “Can you try not looking so cold in every picture?” LOL, so much easier said than done and we were frozen solid by the time we got back inside. We both had to sit in front of the space heater to thaw out afterwards!

You never know what’s going to happen during an OOTD shoot and, in this case, it was near hypothermia haha. I guess Johnny and I are great neighbors too! 🙂

Do you have any awesome neighbors? How about any terrible ones? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Hellooo everyone and welcome to the blooper reel from my Best Of The Vests OOTD! This has been, hands down, my favorite look from the new year so far and it was just as fun to wear as it was to style. After a few weeks of a hiatus from OOTD posts, it felt so good to get back in the saddle and keep working towards my blogging goal of weekly outfits. The weather being a bit warmer this past weekend was also a huge plus! 😀 Without further ado, let’s take a look at some of the many faces of Lil Red:

There was a point in the past year when Johnny, myself, and our bestie got deeply into watching the WWE Royal Rumbles. I’m pretty sure either Cliff or us just saw a commercial for it on Peacock and were intrigued. Then, we actually did watch it, realized it ruled, and began watching all of the old ones in order. Let’s be real, we all know that it’s fake but my god if it isn’t hilarious! What could be funnier than a bunch of greased up, gigantic dudes serving the worst trash talk ever? The answer is: Not much.

Over the weekend was a brand new Royal Rumble and Johnny and I couldn’t wait to host our friends Cliff and Ty for the main event. I cooked jalapeno popper quesadillas, White Claw was poured, and the Rumble was SO on. It has been months since we had a good Rumble and, I’ve got to say, we really needed it lol. It is honestly one of my favorite traditions that Johnny and I have established! The Royal Rumbles at chez nous are just a goofy time where we cheer on the wrestlers, I watch Cliff put Johnny in a headlock at least once, and we have a whole lot of fun!

Is it a blooper to be heavily invested in Royal Rumbles? Somewhat! Were the pictures above flattering? Definitely! Lol, stay tuned for tomorrow on lifewithlilred because I cannot wait to share a new recipe I tried with all of you!

Who is your favorite wrestler? What is one of your favorite traditions in your friend group? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Busy Day OOTD Bloopers

Hello everyone and welcome to the blooper reel from my Busy Day OOTD! Normally, weekends are my time to veg out and catch up on my R&R after a long work week. This past Saturday, however, was different because I needed to get recertified in CPR and first aid for my job as an Independent Provider. As much as I don’t like doing anything work related during my beloved time off, I am happy to have gotten it done and brush up on my skills. Of course, I had to take some OOTD pics before I got my training on and, as always, there were lots of yikes shots interspersed with the winners. Check it out:

image_50456321(10)

I LOOK GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

image_50445569(8)

As an Independent Provider, I have to get recertified in CPR and first aid every two years and this was my fourth time doing so. Back in 2022, I had arguably the WORST time at the class. It had snowed like crazy the night before, my car got stuck in the parking lot, and Johnny had to take me to the Red Cross building in Akron for the training. This was fine, but what wasn’t okay was that the teacher of the class was TWO HOURS late! All of the trainees decided to stick around instead of sign up for another session because the weather was crap. I think we were all so fed up by the time the teacher arrived that it was going to be the worst class ever regardless of if she did a good job or not.

This time around, though, was fantastic. It was actually the best training I have ever had in four sessions because our fearless leader, RANDY, was amazing! He armed us all with a wealth of knowledge and perspectives that I have never heard before in almost a decade. Not to mention the fact that Randy was an absolute cut up. He was cracking jokes left and right and real recognized real because I was his go to for some back and forth. It was a hoot!

My favorite part of the class has got to be when we were practicing CPR on our dummies. Randy told us the situation could get chaotic if we ever had to perform CPR and he did his best to bring that craziness to our practice rounds. He would bend down beside our dummies yelling “JOE, YOU’RE GONNA MAKE IT! YOU HAVE SO MUCH TO LIVE FOR!!!”. In my head, I was having a laugh but it didn’t stop me from doing a good job! I am also pleased to report that I didn’t lose count for compressions even when Randy was trying to mess us up by going “thirteen, twenty-four, two, nine” and so on and so forth. He had some tricks up his sleeve, for sure, but I have never felt more confident in my CPR ability than after his class. 🙂

Even though it was a Busy Day, I am thrilled for it because I would have never gotten the highest quality training in CPR and first aid that I have ever had. Fingers crossed that Randy will be my teacher again in 2026!

Are you certified in CPR or first aid? Why did you have to get that training done? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah
