Peek A Boo Pop OOTD Bloopers

Hello everyone and welcome to the blooper reel from my Peek A Boo Pop OOTD! Although my best face isn’t forward in the pictures you’re about to see, it is definitely my funniest lol. Saturday is mine and Johnny’s designated picture day and these past two outfits have been pretty casual because tired! So much so that we didn’t even venture out to find a good brick wall and just took pictures at our apartment. But, hey, you do what you can and our streak of Saturday OOTD shoots is still going strong! Let’s take a look at the pictures that didn’t make the first cut and, if we’re all being honest with each other, probably wouldn’t make any cut:

My Peek A Boo Pop OOTD was my first time breaking out a crop top since this past summer and it was an interesting experience. Bodies change. During the warm weather, I am extremely active and love to run with the family dog and play outside with one of my clients. I can’t wait for us to hit the pickle ball courts again! During the winter, however, is a completely different story. I am a gigantic freeze baby and it’s not surprising when I gain some hibernation weight as I trade outdoor activities for binge watching marathons!

When I first put my Target crop top on, I was most definitely not feeling myself because my body looked different in it. I was thrilled to button up my button down and vowed to myself that I wouldn’t take crop top pictures if I was still ambivalent. But where is the fun in that? As Johnny and I proceeded with our day, I reminded myself that I planned this OOTD for a reason; to show a cold weather look that could be modified for summer. I also kept telling myself like a mantra that bodies change.

By the time it was picture time, I had hyped myself up enough that I didn’t even care when we got around to crop top pics. So what if my tummy isn’t as toned as I’d like it to be? Once again, bodies change and they can change again. While I originally thought I’d feel self conscious, I felt more confident than anything. There was a time when I would have fought my body tooth and nail over weight gain but that is the old me. Regardless of if I added on a few pounds this winter, it is still my body and I deserve to feel proud of it. And, in that moment, I was.

If you ever feel like you can’t wear something due to changes in your own body, then my best advice is to wear it anyways and rock it. It might be uncomfortable at first, but I know firsthand that it gets way easier and I know that you can do it too! ❤

Husband’s Shirt Alert OOTD Bloopers

Hello everyone and welcome to the blooper reel from my Husband’s Shirt Alert OOTD! When Johnny takes my pictures, he shoots in rapid succession and leaves me with hundreds of pictures to sort through. This is both a blessing and a curse because god knows I love having twenty of one picture that all look the same, but my memory on my phone fills up rather quickly! This is exactly what happened while taking these pictures and there is nothing worse than hearing Johnny say that I am out of memory.

My sweet angel husband assumed we were done with pictures after this mishap and headed inside. Meanwhile, I stayed out and did a quick mass delete session. Once memory was available, my darling Johnny came back out and took up his role as photographer again. These bloopers of me looking my absolute best go out to him, as they wouldn’t be possible without the most wonderful blog husband on planet Earth!

GIVE ME BACK MY PHOOOOOOONE

My intention with the blooper posts from OOTD shoots is for people to gain insight into the process and, of course, have some fun. It’s so easy to think that influencers and content creators snap one picture and BOOM it’s absolutely perfect. However, that’s just not true lol and the very first picture that Johnny took is a testament to that. Not every pose is going to work, either, and that’s fine. Chances were slim that we were going to get an amazing toe standing shot, but at least I tried – and that’s what’s important!

I love being in front of the camera and having my picture taken in outfits that make me feel good makes me feel good. I am lucky because my husband takes my pictures and he gives me the confidence to try different poses or expressions and not take it too seriously. This is also my best piece of advice for when you’re taking pictures of your own. Getting your picture taken is only as fun as you make it so throw caution to the wind and go for it. Attempting to get a perfect shot with every frame is only going to make you look stiff and stressed. Don’t be afraid of the bloopers – embrace them! The magic happens when you are in the moment and fully enjoying yourself. That is when you will find the sweet spot where all of the pictures are uniquely and beautifully you. ❤

Out & About OOTD Bloopers

Hello everyone and welcome to the blooper reel for my Out & About OOTD! On Saturday, Johnny and I planned on having lunch at The Basement after running our errands. We actually DoorDashed it the week before but I was craving their spinach artichoke dip something fierce! By the time we finished running around, however, we were both really hungry and verging on hangry. Sitting around at a restaurant instantly became the last thing we wanted to do so we ended up at Taco Bell, instead. It’s all good, though, because it slapped AND we were able to snap some pics while we waited for our food. Take a look at what definitely didn’t make the first cut:

Feeling fierce, but looking like OOTD amateur hour

Have I told you all about my recent falling out with Taco Bell? Well, we are clearly on the mend now but for a month I refused to get it no matter how badly I wanted it. The cause: At least one item in not one, or two, but THREE vegetarian orders in a row were contaminated with meat. The first time, I considered it to be a fluke. The second time, I was annoyed. But the third time? I was pissed because it was just flushing money down the toilet.

After the third offense, I went on strike and planned on saving my business for when the wounds weren’t so tender. It took some convincing on Johnny’s part to get me to eat one of my favorite foods on the planet, and I am so glad that he persisted. While my strike was difficult, the absence certainly made the heart grow fonder and the Taco Bell ordered after this photo shoot was the best ever and had no mistakes. I can handle OOTD bloopers, but TBell bloopers are a totally different story!

All in all, it was a pretty good Saturday this past weekend! Stepping out with my main squeeze even if it’s just for errands is always fun and the outing ended with a reunion worthy of the greatest love story ever told. #blessed ❤

Valentine’s Day Date Night OOTD Bloopers

Hello everyone and welcome to the blooper reel from my Valentine’s Day Date Night OOTD! Johnny and I had the most marvelous V-Day seeing Hadestown at Playhouse Square and there has not been a moment since the show that I haven’t been thinking about it. It was the best and the soundtrack is currently mine and Johnny’s soundtrack for doing just about anything – cleaning, running errands, working from home. It has yet to get old!

Our theater experience was awe inspiring. Now, let me inspire you with these blooper shots that might not invoke awe but somewhere between “woof” and “yikes”! Let’s get to it:

Bloopers bloopers are no fun, unless you share them with everyone! Or however that saying goes! Honestly, mine and Johnny’s whole experience before the show was a blooper in itself. We were going to go to my favorite restaurant, Pepper’s, for dinner and arrived to find it jam packed. I didn’t even think to make a reservation because the last few times I have been, a table was always ready. This was fine, though, because there are plenty of great restaurants in the area we were in so we decided to go to Angelo’s for pizza, instead…

And we couldn’t even find a parking space! At this point, we were both getting annoyed because we were tipping the scales to hangry levels. Every single restaurant I looked up would have been fine for Johnny but not for me because the vegetarian options were so limited. Taco Bell didn’t even sound like a good option because the last thing I wanted was to sit in our fancy-wear at the T-Bell. I wanted an actual sit down dinner with my main squeeze.

By the time all of our options were considered, we were drastically running out of time to eat and make it to the show. We settled for a Tex-Mex restaurant whose name I already forget and it was… Meh. On the bright side, Johnny really enjoyed himself lol! He loved his food and I barely picked at mine so I was still hungry when we got to the theater. Thankfully, Hadestown was so good that I forgot the hunger pangs as soon as it began!

Our mad blooper dash that evening was all but forgotten as we settled into our seats but it was worth remembering now for old time’s sake! Keep it posted for more OOTDs and fun here on lifewithlilred! ❤

Be My Valentine OOTD Bloopers

Hello everyone and welcome to the blooper reel for my Be My Valentine OOTD! Today, we are going to take a look at the shots that didn’t make the first cut but are worthy of being shared anyways for humor’s sake. Also, did anyone notice that my usual brick wall that doubles as a bathroom at a park wasn’t featured in this look? That’s right, because we used a brick wall at another park instead lol. It wasn’t a bathroom, unfortunately, but sometimes you just have to roll with the punches! Now, let’s get to it:

As you can see, a new brick wall just brings out the best for your girl lol. When it’s warm out, you can always catch me at more fun locations taking pics. During the wintertime, however, is a totally different story because I share Johnny’s sentiments of “are we done yet?”. Therefore, the brick wall method is employed for maximum picture taking efficiency in three easy steps:

Acquire brick wall
Take pictures for five minutes
Leave

Lol – no muss, no fuss, just wall! Granted, it was a scorching forty degrees when these pictures were taken so it wasn’t all that bad but you get my point. The wall method is also great when you are working with a time crunch, which Johnny and I kind of were. This photo shoot was a win/win because the gorgeous shots you see above now exist AND I found a new brick wall to post up by. GREAT SUCCESS!

Feeling Flowery OOTD Bloopers

You’ve seen the limited amount of good from this shoot yesterday so let’s get onto the bad and the yikes so we can all share a laugh. It will be a HOOT, I promise:

Lol, I don’t know if it was the heels or how cold it was when we took pictures but I couldn’t get my balance during this photo shoot to save my own life. Let’s just say it was a combination of both because every time that foot popped up, I was shaking like a leaf! There are so many pictures that Johnny took in this collection that are literally just me tripping up, shaking it off, and trying to recover with another terrible photo haha. They can’t all be winners!

Despite the cold and taking pictures in front of a bathroom (Which was fully intentional – you know I love a brick wall!), we still managed to get some salvageable shots in this five minute rapid fire session. Granted, the majority may have been bloopers – I only had six winners in yesterday’s post. But all is fair in love and OOTDs and and I’ll take what I can get. The good, the bad, and the “why would you post that?” alike!

Hello everyone and welcome to the blooper reel from my Mad For Plaid OOTD! As I was uploading all of the images below, I couldn’t help but think of the Mean Girls quote about the Burn Book when one of the Plastics was like “We have pictures of everyone in the school, then we wrote comments”. Lol, I suppose my blooper posts are my own mini Burn Books in a way except I am fine with all of my own comments! Let’s see what I have to say for this batch of yikes shots:

These pictures were taken on mine and Johnny’s dilapidated balcony on New Years Eve. While I did have grand plans for a more elaborate backdrop, it was raining like a mother so we worked with what we had to achieve awesome shots as well as shots where it looked like I just took some shots! Because of the inclement weather, I retired to comfy clothes as soon as we were done with pictures. And, because tired, I think I fell asleep on New Years Eve around nine. What can I say, styling and profiling takes a lot out of me!

My only regret about this outfit is that literally no one but Johnny and my parents saw me in it. However, I was feeling myself for the rest of the entire world so it’s all good. In terms of blogging goals for 2023, I want to continue doing as many OOTD posts as I can so here’s to another year of fun and fashion on lifewithlilred! ❤

My Presence Is A Present OOTD Bloopers

Hello everyone and welcome to the blooper reel from my Christmas OOTD entitled My Presence Is A Present lol. I had grand plans for lots of Christmas time looks and, unfortunately, that didn’t go accordingly to plan at all. We celebrated with Johnny’s family on Christmas Eve and when we woke up that day, the temperature in our apartment was barely sixty degrees. It. Was. Awful. The culprit was a very improperly sealed front door and the last thing I wanted to do was stand on the cold tile of the bathroom to do my hair and makeup! These bloopers will be the last of my holiday season OOTDs so keep it posted until next year for more! Haha check it out:

Although none of these pics are worthy of being included in a Christmas card (Or are they?!), I had a celebration worthy of a Hallmark movie. My family Christmas was so incredibly perfect and it was a joy to be almost all together. We were missing my brother-in-law, Ramon, who had to work. Negative four degree temperatures didn’t slow down our celebration at all and we spent the day opening gifts, enjoying a delicious meal, and basking in the excellent company of each other. My best face might not have been forward in these bloopers but, rest assured, it was all smiles all day this Christmas. ❤

Surprisingly, this picture was taken before I had a drink at the bar!

OOTDs are, honestly, my time to pretend like I’m on America’s Next Top Model and as you can see from the pictures above, I am well on my way lol. These posts have always been one of my favorite things to create for lifewithlilred because it’s purely fun for me. I just love the process of it. Styling an outfit, picking out a location, and trying to get perfect pictures is a fashion challenge that I am always up for. And, although going through the million pictures that Johnny takes each shoot can be a time consuming chore, the hunt for the best bloopers turns it into a much more enjoyable feat!

One of my goals for these past few months was doing a lot more OOTD posts and, unfortunately, that didn’t go as planned due to unforeseen circumstances. However, the craziness has slowed down significantly in Lil Red’s world and I am excited to get back on the horse for more fashion, shoots, and date days with my blog husband! And, of course, laughing at all of the shots that make me glad that I haven’t fully quit my day job. 😀

When it comes to taking pictures, give me a brick wall and I will work the ever living hell out of it. That is all I wanted for this shoot and, honestly, the location is a blooper in and of itself. The brick wall I chose was the bathroom building of a local park lol. But, hey, you work with what you’ve got and it was a mighty nice brick wall! This was a brain blast when we were about to head out to downtown Cuyahoga Falls for its excellent brick building selection and what we ended up with just makes me like these shots even more. You are never too old to be an emo kid OR laugh about bathroom related humor. 😀

This shoot was such a hoot and it really did take me back to my days of yore when my badass little self loved to post up by a brick wall and have a cigarette. Obviously, I thought I was the coolest. Judging by my popularity in high school, clearly, I was not lol. Be that as it may, these pictures are the coolest to me, bloopers and all and I hope that you enjoyed this photo series as much as I did! ❤
