Christmas OOTD Pt. 1

Christmas OOTD Pt. 1

Hi! If you follow me on TikTok, you were able to see my Christmas OOTDs in real time. If not, let’s take a look at them in blog time AKA several weeks later lol. I had three festive fits to break out and I was so excited to wear them all – even if it was just for the sake of taking pictures. That was very much the case for the outfit you are about to see. We didn’t have an adult holiday party to attend and I couldn’t have imagined wearing this ensemble to visit our parents! Check it out:

Ho Ho Ho Sweater Vest: Spirit Christmas

Tree Skirt: Spirit Christmas

Bedazzled Fishnets: Urban Outfitters

Red Heels: Reaction By Kenneth Cole, TJMaxx

Hoop Earrings: Argentino Vivo, TJMaxx

I had a blast visiting Spirit Christmas before the big celebration and was hoping to find a cute elf or Mrs. Claus costume to wear. Instead, I walked away with a Step Brothers T-shirt, a sweater vest that put me on the naughty list, and a tree inspired skirt. Now, during a normal shopping trip I am looking for pieces that can be worn for several seasons rather than one day of the year. However, I just couldn’t say no to the Santa’s Favorite Ho sweater and a skirt that looked like I had stolen Christmas!

This OOTD was part naughty, part nice, but oh so much fun and I WILL find an event to wear it to next year, damnit. That cheeky sweater vest with the make you blush saying paired so perfectly with my tinsel skirt adorned with red and silver ornaments. It was like a sassy version of Santa’s elves and I got to do it Lil Red’s way as opposed to a store bought costume. The sweater vest may or may not have been a for the sake of content purchase but I did get to bust out the skirt again for my family celebration. My nieces and nephew were obsessed with it and so am I. Although the tinsel definitely started to shed after extended wear!

To wrap up this fiercely silly look, I slipped on a pair of bedazzled fishnet tights from Urban Outfitters for an extra pop of bling and, dare I say, naughtiness! To balance things out, an oh so sweet pair of red heels by Kenneth Cole were in order. It matched the sweater vest to the T and I just adore that fringe detailing. Last on the agenda was a pair of forest green hoop earrings by Argentino Vivo to keep with the Christmas palette. With that, I was ready to take pics and get back in my pajamas lolol.

I might not have gone anywhere in Part One of my Christmas OOTDs but that’s no matter. This look was for me (And all of you too!) and I am SO happy with these purchases even if they can only be worn during the holiday season!

Do you have a collection of holiday seasonal clothes? Where do you like to shop for them? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

December 2025 Finishes

December 2025 Finishes

Hello everyone and welcome to the last beauty finishes post of 2025! It is officially 2026, baby, and I am so ready for another year of lifestyle fun with all of you. I am also eagerly anticipating the great skin care haul of 2026 with my Christmas gifted TJMaxx gift cards. Before we go into the new, it’s out with the old so let’s take a look at these empties and discuss further:

Would I Use Again?

Bath & Body Works Evil Queen Body Cream: MAYBE

Precision Beauty Fountain Of Youth Retinol Serum: YES

Emilianna Hyaluronic Acid Moisturizer: MAYBE

Why/Why Not?

B&BW Body Cream: I purchased the Evil Queen body cream when it was offered at Semi-Annual Sale prices after Halloween. It wasn’t my favorite scent but that doesn’t matter too much to me as I only wear lotion to bed. Evil Queen smelled faintly like apple but it was primarily musky which I am so not a fan of. It grew on me after a few uses but I wouldn’t buy it again unless it was dirt cheap. It took me about two weeks of daily use to finish the bottle.

Precision Beauty Serum: I have been fairly loyal to the Precision Beauty brand for serums and I am not mad about it! They are long lasting and the effects are awesome. It took me a month and a half to finish this bottle with twice daily use. These serums are thicker in texture but absorb quickly and a little of it goes a long way for full face and neck coverage. In the time of using it, I noticed an instant glow up with every application. The Precision Beauty serums are so nourishing and I highly recommend them!

Emilianna Moisturizer: This moisturizer was pretty good but it wasn’t the best one I have used in the world and I probably wouldn’t purchase it again unless it was the only option available. The light, clean scent was nice and it almost felt like a cold cream when applied which was refreshing. However, in the over one month of using it I failed to see anything special about it. Definite last resort option, for sure.

With that, 2025 on lifewithlilred is complete. Stay tuned for a massive skin care haul coming soon!

Which products did you use up this month? What are your thoughts on any of the above products if you have used them before? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Let It Snow OOTD

Let It Snow OOTD

Howdy everyone and welcome to a brand new OOTD here on lifewithlilred! This past Saturday I enjoyed a wonderful pampering session at The Shear Shop and emerged with a beautiful new do in a peacock palette. Afterwards, I could not wait to take pictures to show off my new look – rain, shine, or snow! Once I returned home from the salon, Johnny and I ventured out into the cold for some OOTD magic in the freshly falling snow. I just love how these pictures turned out! Take a look:

Faux Fur Jacket: Me Jane, TJMaxx

Coated Skinny Jeans: Seven Jeans, TJMaxx

Heeled Boots: Olivia Miller, TJMaxx

Gloves: StilEstro, TJMaxx

I have no idea where the earrings are from!

I pondered what I wanted to wear for these pictures as I drove home from the salon and decided that I wanted to sport an All Black Everything motif. These pics were about the outfit, of course, but also to showcase the hair. I wanted the rockin peacock palette to be seen in all of its glory and that called for a neutral background to prevent color clutter. This may be a simple OOTD but between the unique details in the clothing and my new hair, it turned into a full fledged fashion statement.

For my jacket, I chose a stunning faux fur number by Me Jane. I am an avid fan of faux fur and this jacket is pure sophistication. I adore the visible diamond shaped stitches and the brooch style button. The shape is so classic and it is nice and warm for the wintertime. The timelessness of this jacket created such an interesting juxtaposition with the modern hair and I felt like an old fashioned movie star! As I was going with All Black Everything, I paired my jacket with some top or another underneath as I planned on wearing it buttoned and my coated skinnies by Seven Jeans. These pieces paired together formed a long and lean silhouette while also playing with texture from the shiny coating of the jeans and soft faux fur to make the eyes dance.

Next up was shoes and accessories. I went with my favorite pair of chunky heeled boots by Olivia Miller which added a shiny pop of bling from the chains. It also helped tie the look together from head to toe thanks to the blinged out brooch button on the jacket. As another additional sparkly surprise, I chose a pair of gloves by StilEstro in a gorgeous cream hue that featured a big flower brooch on one of the hands. Finally, I popped on a pair of dangly earrings with sizeable burnt amber gems hanging from them. These playful touches of shiny gems and silver looked so striking against my neutral palette and the white fluffy stuff falling from the sky!

With winter fashion this good, I say Let It Snow… In moderation, of course!

Have you had a snowy winter? What is your favorite wintertime activity? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Thxgiving Pt. 2 OOTD

Hi!! The day after Thanksgiving, Johnny and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch at El Meson with his parents. I might have still been in a slight food coma but I never say no to Mexican food and El Meson is, hands down, the best restaurant in our neck of the woods. The meal was delicious, the company was delightful, and I loved piecing together this little something to wear. Also, so aware there aren’t many pics to check out. We were starving and freezing our nads off when we took these before leaving and it was definitely not my best work. Lol, hey it happens to the best of us!

Jacket: Vince Camuto, TJMaxx

Skinny Jeans: 1822 Denim, TJMaxx

Boots: Candie’s, Kohl’s

Earrings: Argentino Vivo, TJMaxx

The hat belonged to my grandma! ❤

I am not a fan of winter in the slightest and am a spring and fall girl through and through. However, I sure love dressing for winter! Jackets are one of my favorite fashion items and I have quite a collection of cold weather coats to choose from. It is exciting to break them out again and I couldn’t wait to wear my amazing blazer style jacket by Vince Camuto. It is one of my all time favorite TJMaxx purchases and I feel like a star in it. Those faux fur cuffs just scream luxury and I have a little Devil Wears Prada moment every time I slip it on. This jacket is a timeless staple with a twist and that is exactly what I like.

The base of this outfit was kept simple as I wanted the jacket and accessories to do all of the talking. And anyways, I had no intention of taking my jacket off. Did I mention it was freaking freezing?! Black skinny jeans and a form fitting navy sweater were the move and it was off to accessorize. This is always the best part of dressing for winter for me as I am a huge accessory girl and the cold months are my time to shine. As a heavily tattooed chick, accessories fly out the window when it’s hot out because they are my accessories. In the winter, I forget I have a majority of my ink because I’m all covered up!

For accessories, I delved into my hat collection and returned with a beautiful vintage cloche hat from my grandma. She had the most impeccable style and hats were her favorite. I am lucky enough to have several of her hats and it brings me so much joy to wear them. I think she would be so happy about it too! This hat is so timeless yet modern with that black feather and it was just right with my jacket for that freshened up old-timey feel.

In the shoe department I opted for a gorgeous pair of thigh high boots by Candie’s to strut my stuff in. These boots are eight years old but I just can’t part with them! I love their length, the heel, and how form fitting they are for a sleek and lean silhouette. Last but not least was jewelry and I chose a medium sized pair of hoops by Argentino Vivo in forest green. As red and green are complimentary colors, they looked especially striking against the vibrant red of the hat. With that, I was ready for food coma round two!

I love me a holiday where all that’s required is to dress up and eat. Is it bad that I’m already thinking about Christmas dinner… and next year’s Thanksgiving?! 😀

What is your favorite holiday? How do you celebrate it? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Thxgiving OOTD

Thxgiving OOTD

Hello everyone and welcome to a brand new OOTD here on lifewithlilred. I hope all of you had a fabulous Thanksgiving. I sure did! Thanksgiving is a funny holiday because you literally just get dressed up to eat a bunch of food and then change into clothes that stretch. At least that’s how my Thanksgivings always go anyways. I couldn’t wait to break out the dress in this OOTD for the occasion of standing around my parents’ kitchen so let’s take a looksee:

Dress: Blu Pepper, TJMaxx

Kitten Heels: Nine West, TJMaxx

The earrings were purchased forever ago from PacSun!

My mom and I had a TJMaxx shopping trip a month or so ago and I fell in love with this beautiful little number by Blu Pepper. As soon as I saw it, I had visions of wearing it to Thanksgiving and it came true! This dress looks like something a doll would wear and I just can’t get enough of it. That rich caramel color, polka dots, bib collar, AND bow? Forget about it! It just feels like the perfect Thanksgiving dress and I can’t explain that any further. It just is!

I stayed very true to my original plan for this look and paired my dress with a cozy pair of charcoal grey cable knit tights. I’m glad I did because it was snowing when Johnny and I left the house! The tights added to the doll vibe of my dress and to keep with that theme, I chose the sweetest pair of kitten heels by Nine West. That tiny heel and blingy strap is too cute and as much as I adore a big, chunky heel these are one of my favorite pairs. Last but not least I popped on a pair of brooch style earrings that feel oh so vintage. They kind of are, I guess. They were bought over fifteen years ago lol. Pretend you didn’t just read that. 😀

My Thxgiving OOTD turned out exactly how I pictured it and I can’t wait to wear my Blu Pepper dress again. One of my favorite TJs purchases!

How was your Thanksgiving? What are some of your holiday traditions? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

November 2025 Finishes

November 2025 Finishes

Howdy and holy WOW! Happy last day of November, everyone! Is it just me or did this month fly by? I literally feel like I blinked through spooky season and now here we are in *almost* December. I’d say I’m mad about this super speedy time warp but I’m so not. I have been DYING to give everyone their Christmas gifts for months now lol. Let’s wrap up this month here on lifewithlilred the old fashioned way… By discussing my beauty empties, of course:

Would I Use Again?

Evoluderm Micellar Water: YES

Bath & Body Works Waikiki Beach Coconut Body Cream: YES

Bath & Body Works Vanilla Romance Shower Gel: NO

Bath & Body Works Japanese Cherry Blossom Lotion: YES

Dirty Works Vitamin C Miracle Moisturizer: YES!!!

Why/Why Not?

Evoluderm Micellar Water: You all know I am a HUGE fan of the Evoluderm micellar water and I am so sad because I haven’t been able to find it at TJMaxx for months. This was my last bottle and I can only hope for a restock soon. I just wanted to reiterate what a great value the eight dollar mega bottle is. It took me over three months to finish this baby which makes its cost per use next to nothing. Love that!

B&BW Body Cream: If you need a dose of sun, sand, and surf during these dreary days of winter then you are going to love the Waikiki Beach Coconut scent from B&BW. This is literally sunshine in a bottle and smells so exactly like the beach that you will feel like you’re there! It took about two weeks of daily use to finish this bottle and I enjoyed my mental vacation every time. 😀

B&BW Shower Gel: I am a vanilla scent girl through and through. SO not a Vanilla Romance girl though! If you live for a pure vanilla fragrance like me, definitely skip on this one. It is straight up musky with the littlest drop of vanilla added in. I grabbed this freebie for the hell of it and it was the first and last time for me!

Dirty Works Moisturizer: If you are on the market for a new moisturizer, the Vitamin C Miracle Moisturizer by Dirty Works was absolutely fabulous. It took me close to a month and a half of twice daily use to finish the bottle and I so wish I had more! A not even dime sized dollop fully hydrated my skin to silky smooth perfection and provided a huge radiance boost. This moisturizer absorbed quickly, sat like a dream under makeup, and left my skin looking and feeling amazing. Highly recommend!

Not bad, not bad at all. November was a solid month in the beauty department and I can’t wait to test out more goodies in December!

Which products did you use up this month? What are your thoughts on any of the above products if you have used them before? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Weekend Adventure OOTD

Weekend Adventure OOTD

Hello everyone and welcome to a brand new OOTD here on lifewithlilred! This past Saturday I went on a fun little outing with my dad and Johnny to a lunch and vendor fair event. It was such a nice afternoon with my two favorite fellas! I knew both my boyz were going to keep it casual in their fashion which was fine by me because it was a go there, go home kind of day. A day that called for the softest sweater in the whole world with elbow patches to feel oh so perfectly fall! Check it out:

Sweater: Blu Pepper, Dry Goods

Boyfriend Jeans: Banjara, TJMaxx

Snakeskin Boots: These were purchased forever ago from Target!

Necklace: This was purchased from a vendor fair by artist John Deveer.

Earrings: These were purchased forever ago from PacSun!

This was actually not the outfit I originally had in mind. However, when I was shopping in the pants department my eyes landed on my Banjara boyfriend jeans and I decided to pivot. I absolutely love these bedazzled beauties and it reminded me of something that Miranda or Taylor would wear from my guilty pleasure, Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives. I had just binged it so it was weighing heavy on the brain! These jeans are just so totally cool and they are exactly what I like – an exciting take on classic staples. Give me distressing and huge rhinestones and I am sold!

As these jeans give such a comfy, chill vibe I decided to pair it with a cozy sweater to match. I went with a lovely little number by Blu Pepper and also had a brain blast. I recently bought a dress of the same brand, knew I had something from Blu Pepper in my wardrobe, and couldn’t remember it for the life of me. Then, there it was in my hands! This dusty pink hued sweater was a lovely compliment to the charcoal grey jeans and I am all about those extra details. I am a sucker for elbow patches for a nod to collegiate chic and the up the side buttons. My sweater was also slightly oversized which was just right for pairing with the slouchy boyfriend jeans.

Next up was shoes and accessories. I definitely needed the extra height as the Banjara jeans are REALLY long on me and selected a pair of heeled grey snakeskin pattern boots from Target. The muted tones fit the color palette I had established to the T and snakeskin is my all time favorite pattern! For accessories, I chose a beautiful hand carved necklace from a vendor fair I attended in Atlanta. I love its simplicity and it can literally pair with anything for jewelry without going overboard. Last but not least was a pair of vintage brooch inspired earrings that offered flowers in the same dusty pink shade of the sweater. With that, I was ready to go on an adventure!

I may have had Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives on the mind but this look was one hundred percent Lil Red!

What is your favorite guilty pleasure show? What are your weekend plans? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Lunch Date OOTD

Standard
Lunch Date OOTD

Howdy! This past weekend Johnny and I went on a fabulous lunch date to Boss ChickNBeer. We had the most fantastic meal, made some new friends, and found our new favorite restaurant! Since our plan was to dine and dash… Not literally lol as in dash to go back home, I opted for a casually cute OOTD. As soon as I got back home it was back into comfortably cute pajamas! I couldn’t wait to show off my amazing new TJMaxx cherry earrings and knew exactly what I wanted to wear to really make them pop. Check it out:

Cardigan: Jessica Simpson, TJMaxx

Crop Top: This was purchased forever ago from Target

Skinny Jeans: 1822 Denim, TJMaxx

Heeled Combat Boots: BCBG, TJMaxx

Cherry Earrings: Anthropologie, TJMaxx

The apple belt was legit purchased when I was a teenager from some stand in the mall lol

An outfit like this is about as casual as it gets for your girl without being in pajamas. I am one to dress for the occasion, however, and a lunch date definitely doesn’t call for dressing to the nines. Regardless, I still had a lot of fun with this look because of the accessories! I knew right where to start with this fit because I had already pictured pairing my cherry earrings with the cream colored Jessica Simpson cardi. The deep red cherries directly against this neutral sweater was just *chef’s kiss*. Also, can we talk about how pretty those raised flower decals are? This cardi is so soft and sweet and is the perfect one to wrap yourself in on a chilly fall day.

Next on the agenda was the outfit’s base. As I wanted cherry red to pop with the other fruit themed accessory I had up my sleeve, All Black Everything was the move. I slipped on my go to pair of skinnies by 1822 Denim as well as a little cropped number from Target. I’m pretty sure I got this top as a teenager but I refuse to part with it. It is so handy to have this basic essential to put on when you want to make other pieces in your outfit shine. Remember, simple is best when you want a statement piece to be the focal point in your fit.

Finally, it was onto shoes and accessories. I started with my cherry bomb earrings, of course, and chose a pair of heeled combat boots by BCBG. Red and green are complimentary colors so I knew this pair would work. I didn’t want this look to be Christmas-y, though, and that was deterred by having the green all the way at the bottom. After the shoes and the earrings were on, I still wasn’t in love with this OOTD. So, I decided to add a bright red belt with apple clasps to the mix. That was much more like it! From the top down it went from pop of red to cream back to pop of red again for a tutti fruity surprise. With that, I was ready to hit the road for our Lunch Date!

These accessories made my Lunch Date OOTD a total blast with bursts of red for casual vibes with a fruity twist!

Do you have a favorite type of jewelry? Do you own any quirky accessories? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

New Cherry On Top Earrings

New Cherry On Top Earrings

Hello! Every Tuesday I get an hour and a half break before my last shift of the day. I use that time to write, read, or do blog jobs. And, oh yeah, I go shopping too! There is a TJMaxx right by the job site I am at and I have been frequenting it as I plug away at my holiday shopping. I am pleased to report that I am almost done and can’t wait to finish up, wrap them up, and cozy up for the rest of the holiday season. Of course, it’s extremely hard to visit TJMaxx without looking a little bit for myself too! During my last shopping trip, I ended up with a ten dollar treat and I couldn’t believe my good fortune. I have wanted something like this for forever! Check it out:

When I saw these darling cherry earrings I literally gasped. I have always thought that a pair of dangly cherry earrings would be so retro and fun. They were never a must have but a nice to have and the pair I found at TJMaxx was even better than what I had in mind. These good enough to eat earrings detach at the top of the cherry so you have to put the stem through the ear and then put them back together again. I thought this was way cool and unique and I absolutely love the deep red, shiny cherries. They are the ultimate in fairycore chic!

There was no brand listed on the packaging of my new earrings so I decided to look them up. Once again, I couldn’t believe my good fortune because these are actually from Anthropologie! The price listed on their website is forty-four dollars and I got mine for ten. You just can’t beat that! Anthropologie is a brand that I have always coveted and I got an accessory from there that I have been dreaming of for a song. Lady Luck continued to smile on me because there are three colors of the cherries to pick from at Anthropologie and I found the deep red. The brighter hued options on their website didn’t speak to me whatsoever. This find was as sweet as cherry pie! 😀

As always, huge ups to TJMaxx for providing me with the things I want and the things that I didn’t know I needed. Forever my happy place! ❤

Is there a fashion item you have been coveting? Where is your happy place to shop? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Mix & Match OOTD

Standard
Mix & Match OOTD

Hello everyone and welcome to a brand new OOTD here on lifewithlilred! This past weekend my brother, Johnny, and I attended Akron Comicon and it was so much fun! It is our tradition to go every year together and we always look forward to geeking out in the crowd of fandom fans. At an event like Comicon, anything goes for fashion and I decided I wanted to go quirky cool with my OOTD. One of my favorite ways to make an outfit chic and unique is by mixing and matching patterns that, at a glance, might not necessarily go together. I was actually ambivalent about this look but it came together perfectly and I absolutely love how it turned out! Take a look and let’s discuss:

Blazer: Scotch & Soda, TJMaxx

Button Down: Karl Lagerfeld, TJMaxx

Coated Skinny Jeans: Seven Jeans, TJMaxx

Platform Boots: Dolls Kill

Purse: Foley + Corinna, TJMaxx

The earrings are from Target I think!

As I went shopping in my wardrobe department store, I had blazers on the mind and began this OOTD by browsing my options. I had been so focused on cold weather jackets that I haven’t been thinking blazers at all and honestly had forgotten about my Scotch & Soda one! Shame on me because this pajama style blazer is SO fabulous. I am totally there for that relaxed fit and the floral pattern with colors that just scream fall. This little number was definitely the move but what to pair it with?

The last thing I wanted for Comicon was a basic look so simply wearing my blazer over top a black sweater just wouldn’t do. As the vast majority of my clothing features some type of pattern or bold color, I knew I would have to get creative with mixing and matching patterns. To get started, I took a closer look at the colors in the blazer which had black as well as some lighter hues that were close enough to white. Remember, if you are mixing and matching patterns that the best way to form cohesion is by using like colors in the two pieces you are pairing.

After my double check of the blazer, I knew black and white would be the best way to go and selected my button down by Karl Lagerfeld. This top features a stark white background with classic Karl aviators in black. Initially, I thought this top was too far a cry from the blazer but put both on with a pair of high waisted skinnies anyway to see the final effect. And you know what? It worked! Between the high rise of the Seven Jeans and the coverage from the blazer, the button down didn’t look out of place as it was being overshadowed. The end result provided this really cool pop of bright white among the burnt fall hues of the blazer and it was just the quirky cool flare I was hoping for.

Finally, it was onto shoes and accessories. I wanted long legs and height to extenuate the high rise skinnies and went for a daring pair of platform boots with a vertebrae heel. They were a hit at Comicon and I liked how the color of the vertebrae accents closely mimicked some of the lighter hues in the blazer. For earrings, I chose a gorgeous pair of dangly turquoise crosses for a surprise color burst. I love turquoise and orange paired together and these looked lovely with the blazer. Last but not least, I swapped out my purse I was using to a fully neutral one by Foley + Corinna with spikes and a chain strap. With that, I was ready to go get my nerd on!

This Mix & Match OOTD was SO fun to style despite initial uncertainty. Fashion is about taking risks and sometimes they work and other times they don’t. This was a fashion risk that definitely paid off!

Is there an event you go to yearly? What is something you are looking forward to? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah
