B-Day OOTD Bloopers

Hello everyone and welcome to the Blooper Reel from my B-Day OOTD! Johnny and I have been celebrating our birthaversary big time all month long and this lil look was worn to lunch at the Olive Garden with my family. It was the best gift! We still have beaucoup plans lined up in our roster and it is honestly kind of overwhelming lol. We went from never doing anything on the weekends to nonstop plans and I am exhausted! But, hey, the birthaversary is a monumental occasion so let the good times roll because when I can relax with a new season of my guilty pleasure show, it is going to be oh so sweet. 😀 Take a look at these yikes shots and let’s discuss:

Am I the only one who feels overwhelmed by streaming services? Lol, every single day there are a million brand new things. Some might be good, a majority is crap, and it is just a pain in the keister to figure out what to watch. I am one of those people that will spend a solid twenty minutes trying to find a show or documentary and then just end up turning on Superbad! For once, however, I know exactly what I am going to watch whenever I have time to spare. That’s right… A new season of America’s Sweethearts on Netflix just dropped and I am SO there for it! 😀

America’s Sweethearts is all about the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, the audition process, prepping for games, and all that good stuff. I remember when the first season came out vividly because I was sick and I watched it all in one day! I was hooked and you have no idea how happy I was for season two to be released – reality TV is my guilty pleasure and America’s Sweethearts serves on every level. Pretty ladies for your favorite bisexual, insane dancing, hardass coaches, drama, and sisterhood. What could be better?! Do I care about football? The hardest NO ever. Do I care deeply about the cheerleaders? You’re damn right! This new season is a bonus birthaversary gift and I cannot wait to revel in it. Go team!

A new season of a favorite show really is a treat and during my binge-a-thon of America’s Sweethearts, I plan on treating myself even more. I got a Taco Bell gift card for my birthday and am going to have a one person fiesta. Let those birthaversary good times roll on, baby!

What is one of your guilty pleasure shows? Have you watched America’s Sweethearts? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Cute & Comfy OOTD Bloopers

Hello everyone and welcome to the Blooper Reel from my Cute & Comfy OOTD. This was a simple little look that I put together to host a dinner party at chez moi this past weekend. And, based on the outfit, you can see that it was anything but a fancy get together lol. However, after saying that, I do think it would be hilarious to host a fancy dress dinner party in our two bedroom apartment. Ball gowns and Taco Bell, perhaps? It’s a work in progress! While I workshop this idea, took a look at some of these yikes shots:

One of my biggest guilty pleasures has got to be reality TV and I am especially partial to the Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives and Farmer Wants A Wife lol. Are these shows pure crap? Yes. Are they entertaining as all get out? Absolutely! Johnny and I started watching Farmer Wants A Wife as a joke and it turns out the joke was on us because we got incredibly into it. We devoured the first season, waited on pins and needles for season two, devoured that, and just completed season three this weekend. What can I say, we just can’t get enough of these farmers who want wives!

Normally, Johnny and I wait for entire seasons to air on TV before watching them at our leisure on streaming services. With season three of Farmer Wants A Wife, we were watching it on regularly scheduled time and it was honestly kind of fun. Don’t get me wrong, I love to binge watch with the best of them. However, Farmer Fridays became something we would look forward to and we would settle into watch it as soon as the work week was over. I love that Johnny and I watch Farmer Wants A Wife together because it’s funny to us and I am mourning the end of this last season. I literally cannot wait for new seasons of both of my favorite reality TV guilty pleasures and more Farmer Fridays with my main squeeze. 😀

Reality TV is such a laugh lol, it’s exactly what I need when I want something mindless and fun and don’t even get me started on ALL the drama!

What is your favorite reality show? What is your guilty pleasure show? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Fall Flannels OOTD Bloopers

Hello everyone and welcome to the blooper reel from my Fall Flannels OOTD! Today, we are going to take a look at the bad and the yikes that definitely didn’t make the first cut. Hey, every single picture can’t be a winner. In fact, sometimes I scroll through seemingly endless options that make me audibly say “woof” until I can find that diamond in the rough shot. Let’s see some of these said woof pics and then chat a bit about my most recent obsession…

The most fake ass laugh ever

When it comes to my preferences for TV shows, it’s a mixed bag. Yes, I love me my horror and true crime programs. I enjoy game shows, comedy series, documentaries, and political satire reports. I do, however, have a huge guilty pleasure – that being reality TV. Sometimes, I am just in the mood for something I don’t have to think about and reality TV checks all of those boxes. It’s mindless, can be funny, and always promises to be juicy. I take great pleasure in discussing these types of shows with my best girl, Kate. During our last FaceTime gab session, she told me about a show I just have to watch called The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Right off the bat, I told her that sounded dumb AF but she insisted. Because I trust Kate with my life and TV choices, I decided to give it a go and… I. Was. Obsessed.

Long story short, this show is set up like a Desperate Housewives series and revolves around the Mormon gals of the popular TikTok channel, MomTok. As you can imagine with any close group of girls, things aren’t always what they seem and it was drama central. I was SO there for it and was hooked within minutes. The scandals, the different personalities, and all around different culture piqued my interest. What I liked best of all wasn’t so much the drama as it was delving into social media as I could relate to a lot of it being a professional myself. Before I knew it, I had binged the entire series and Kate and I are eagerly awaiting Season Two. I have ate my words about my initial sentiments on the show and am now recommending it to everyone. And, if you do or did watch it, hit your girl up so we can gossip!!

Just because The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is wrapped up for a while doesn’t mean there’s not still plenty of dirt going around and you already know I’ve been keeping tabs. Bring on Season Two, baby!

What I Did During COVID (Nothing Lol)

What I Did During COVID (Nothing Lol)

Hello!!! As I write this, Johnny and I are finally on an upswing from our COVID experience. Thank gawd because, let me tell you, it was really horrible for a while. We were both feeling like absolute garbage and when one feels like garbage, there’s not much you can do but sit there lol. I will say, if we weren’t in the throws of the virus, it actually would have been quite pleasant to veg out and watch all of the TV. Johnny chose to stay downstairs with the bunnies watching WWII movies and I claimed the upstairs as my own to watch all of my guilty pleasures. This included:

The Saw Franchise:

My first order of business once we were bit by the COVID bug was to rewatch the Saw franchise in its entirety. I am a HUGE fan of those movies and I am excited to see the newest one in theaters once Johnny and I are feeling better. Yes, they’re violent. Yes, they’re freaking gross. And, yes, they aren’t for everyone, but to each their own. I watched all of the Saw movies in a whopping two days and even though I was feeling completely miserable, I kept thinking to myself “at least I’m not that person” for everyone playing a “game”. It actually kind of helped a little lol.

Sister Wives:

After my Saw bingeathon, it was time for my next guilty pleasure and that is literally every single show on TLC. Haha, I just can’t help myself – I love crappy television. I have been an on again off again Sister Wives viewer for years and I must say, this newest season has been explosive! Can we all please talk about what an asshole Kody is or?! He is the freaking WORST and I am so happy to see Christine and Janelle finally come out from under his stupid thumb. My only hope is that Meri follows suit soon so Kody can be left alone with Robyn, which is what I think he truly wanted all along. SHAMEFUL!!!

My Strange Addiction – Still Addicted?:

Speaking of crappy television… After I got caught up on Sister Wives, I finally was able to watch the follow up series to My Strange Addiction to see where the people on the show are at ten years later. It was just as weird as the original episodes and it was SO cringe worthy. There were people addicted to eating toilet paper, couch foam, cat hair – you name it. I was, however, very sad to learn that Nathanial’s beloved Chase, the car who he shared an intimate relationship with kicked the bucket. RIP to a real one.

The Office:

And, finally, when all else fails – there is always The Office. Like millions of people, I find The Office to be one of my favorite comfort shows. Johnny and I have seen every episode more times than we can count, but they are never not funny. This was a great show to put on when we were really sick because we could close our eyes and rest and still know exactly what was going on. There is no think work to The Office and it is what we both refer to as our “warm blanket” show. Whether we have COVID or not, it is always on our lineup at chez nous!

One can only watch so much TV, sick or not, until their brain turns to mush and I am very happy to be feeling well enough to pass some time reading. Keep it locked for a new edition of Lil Red’s Book Club soon as we discuss a thriller called We Love To Entertain!

What is your favorite comfort show? How about one of your guilty pleasure shows? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah
