New Orleans OOTD Bloopers

Hello everyone and welcome to the Blooper Reel from my New Orleans OOTDs! Be sure to stick around this week to see the actual OOTD post for what I wore to my cousin’s wedding. ๐Ÿ™‚ Without my resident photographer, Johnny, my sister pulled through in the clutch to take my pictures and TikTok videos. It took a little bit of coaching for Kristen to get them just right but she was a quick study! Huge shout out to her for putting up with my nonsense not just with OOTD shoots but for always taking a selfie with me every other minute lol. Hey, sister time is a rarity for us so I had to milk it for all it was worth! Let’s get to these yikes shots:

After my cousin got married, we paraded around the street and it was absolutely amazing. The entire block was going freaking nuts and I think we all felt like celebrities during that five minute trek! Because the experience was so exciting, I wasn’t looking where I was going whatsoever. In the streets of New Orleans, that is a big mistake because their walkways definitely need some love. As I strutted my stuff, I was so unaware that I walked right into a pothole with a huge cone in it lol SMH. It was a shock to the system but I think I recovered beautifully and made the rest of the parade without further incident. That was to come later…

When the dance floor opened up after dinner and speeches, my uncle and I were cutting a rug. My cousin’s dad is the literal coolest and he is very tall and very broad. For the beginning of our dance, we were in perfect step and it really was lovely. Then, came the spin. Oh, that spin lol. We were dancing on brick and combined with that, my heels, and my uncle’s sheer strength without even trying, I completely ate it when he spun me out. I went from being on my own two feet, to in flight, to on the ground in two seconds flat. You guys, it was SO embarrassing I can’t even put it into words. In my defense, however, literally everyone said that my uncle straight up hurled me and that made me feel a lot better… Kind of. Once again, SMH!!!!!

Weebles wobble and in this case they fell down. But, hey, all that matters is that I got up again, right?!

Has anything embarrassing happened to you recently? Would you consider yourself clumsy? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Navy, Baby OOTD Bloopers

Hello everyone and welcome to the Blooper Reel from my Navy, Baby OOTD! I am dead tired as I type this and am fantasizing about a crispy Diet Coke from McDonald’s. However, the blog must go on and I am nothing if not dedicated. Hello, six and a half year blogging streak! Perhaps I need a laugh to perk me up and maybe all of you do too. So, let’s take a look at these yikes shots and discuss why this chronically sleepy gal is extra sleepy today!

Has Daylight Savings time thrown you for a loop? It most certainly has for me and your girl is dying! Johnny and I have a pretty unique schedule. We are both up for work around three AM and go to bed at six thirty or so. In normal circumstances, this is a-okay. In Daylight Savings time world, however, it is a massive problem. I am one of those people who simply cannot fall asleep unless it’s dark out and it throws a wrench in the plan when it is still light until eight PM. Eventually my body adjusts to this new rhythm but it is hellacious until it does.

When my alarm clock went off this morning, all I wanted to do was hit the snooze and keep snoozing until I got back to baseline. What motivated me to get up? The bunnies, of course! I know I would hate if I was hungry and my breakfast was late and, although my schedule has been unwillingly adjusted, there’s doesn’t deserve to be. While my mind screamed more sleep, my heart screamed “but the bunnies” louder and so here I am… Typing this post while half asleep! Zzzzzzzzzz

Can we all just make a pact to do away with Daylight Savings time because WOOF. Mama needs her beauty sleep!!

Has Daylight Savings time effected you? When do you normally go to bed? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Cute In K-Pop OOTD Bloopers

Hello everyone and welcome to the Blooper Reel from my Cute In K-Pop OOTD! As you all know, not every picture taken is going to be a winner and rather than instantly hit delete, I like to celebrate them. For every good picture I take, there are several bad ones to go along with it and I never miss an opportunity to poke some good old fashioned fun at myself. They may be yikes shots, but they are my yikes shots so let’s check them out and have a laugh:

While bloopers are a sure fire way to make me laugh, the most common way that Johnny and I get our yucks is through workplace comedies. We just love them! Like many people, shows like The Office, Parks & Rec, and Superstore are consistent background noise at chez nous when we are just hanging out or going to bed. However, we have seen each of those shows a thousand times apiece and needed something different. Thankfully, I feel like we are in a workplace comedy renaissance because we have added so many to our roster and have really been enjoying them.

For the past several months, Johnny and I have been watching Stumble, St. Denis Medical, Abbott Elementary, Animal Control, Strays, and Shelved. I actually don’t normally care to watch a lot of different shows at once because it’s so much to keep up with. But all of these are so funny that I’ll give it a pass! With a majority of these programs currently airing on TV, it gives us a daily show to look forward to and it has been so nice – especially since The Traitors and my beloved Olympics are all done. These shows have been the perfect way to settle in after work and no matter what the day has been like, we are always ending it in stitches!

If you haven’t given any of the above workplace comedies a try, we can’t recommend them enough. They are a hoot!

What is your favorite workplace comedy? Do you have a favorite game show (We are loving The Greatest Average American!)? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Jammin Jumpsuit OOTD Bloopers

Hello everyone and welcome to the Blooper Reel from my Jammin Jumpsuit OOTD! This little look was worn to go to a minor league hockey game in Cleveland and it was just the best. We were blessed to see FIVE fights and I felt at least ten pounds lighter by the time the game was over. I guess I had more pent up frustration than I thought! I had to laugh because later that night a star from Heated Rivalry hosted Saturday Night Live (It was a great episode!). Unfortunately, no one at the Cleveland Monsters game we went to kissed and made up after getting into their tussles. Maybe next time! #fingerscrossed Let’s take a look at some of these yikes shots and discuss another instance that gave me the giggles:

When I think of the apartment community I live in, several things come to mind and raccoons are always high on the list. They are literally everywhere – in the dumpsters, roaming the property, in the walls, and making guest appearances on porches. I kid you not, I once had a neighbor who left food outside of her door for them. But, hey, it’s home and I still love it all the same. Almost every night and early morning, several trash pandas visit mine and Johnny’s porch. Sometimes they do a pop in and move on, sometimes they hang for a while, and other times they eat pizza that they rescued from the dumpster. I’ll tell you what, my mind was blown when I witnessed that!

This past Wednesday was freaking crap lousy at work and I was still in my feels about it when I worked from home on Thursday morning. As I was at my computer, I saw a couple of raccoons taking their morning constitutional on the porch. An hour or so later, I got up to look out the window because it was raining buckets. However, the weather wasn’t the first thing that caught my eye. What I clocked immediately was a Taco Bell wrapper on my porch that one of the raccoons salvaged in the trash. I’d know those wrappers anywhere. ๐Ÿ˜€

As you all know, T-Bell is my absolute favorite and despite being in a bum mood, I just had to laugh. I know it isn’t true but I like to think that the raccoons knew I was having a tough go of it and brought me something to cheer me up. In reality, I’m sure they were just having their breakfast. It did make me smile, though, and gave me a moment to take joy in the little things. I told all of my clients that story when I saw them later in the day and they all got such a kick out of it too. Everyone I work with knows that Taco Bell holds a special place in my heart so they saw it as a gift from the raccoons like I did. It might not be flowers or diamonds but I’ll still take it! โค

My early AM raccoon visit was a silly reminder to smile and a sign from the universe that Taco Bell is in order like yesterday. If you are feeling some type of way – look for the little things, cash those happy checks, and feel better soon! ๐Ÿ™‚

What kind of wildlife visits your home? What is something funny that has happened to you recently? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

V-Day OOTD Bloopers

Hello everyone and welcome to the Blooper Reel from my V-Day OOTD! Johnny and I had an absolute ball on our Valentine’s Day date with a yummy dinner out and an evening at a Cupid’s Revenge haunted house. We ate like kings and had the most spooky, silly time at the haunt. We cannot wait to go back to the Haunted Schoolhouse And Laboratory for their St. Patrick’s Day haunted house next month! If it’s anything like the V-Day one, it will be a freaking hoot. ๐Ÿ˜€ Our night on the town was full of fabulous memories as well as super styling OOTDs on both of our parts. I felt like a V-Day queen but these pictures are more like me as the royal court’s jester lol, check it out:

Johnny and I were both exhausted on Sunday after all of the hubbub and I took it as my opportunity to get caught up on the Olympics. This is the happiest time of every four years for me and I was chomping at the bit to watch all of the figure skating that I missed. After I was done watching the men’s long programs, I decided to have some fun by watching a bit of the bobsled events that were taking place. By that time, Johnny was up from his nap and was SO into it. I think he had his fill of figure skating after he graciously sat through the team and short programs with me. ๐Ÿ˜€ To my surprise, he requested that we watch more Olympic sports after watching several bobsled heats and it was music to my ears. The sport he chose…

Curling! I haven’t watched a ton of Olympic curling in my day and I regret that deeply after our bingeathon. Honestly, it begged the question of why aren’t we watching these sports regularly like we do for football and baseball. Curling was absolutely hilarious to watch. Not because of the athletes, but the commentators. Johnny and I are so not hip to curling lingo and all of the phrases they rattled off were like a new language. We had no idea what they were talking about but it all sounded good! In fact, at one point one of the commentators delved into a story about his wife that really had nothing to do with the matter at hand. It reminded us SO much of the commentary in one of our favorite movies, Best In Show, which made us laugh even harder. These lesser known sports might not be at the top of your Olympics agenda but I promise you they are just as fun if not more so than the big events. I can’t wait to watch more with my main squeeze!

I cannot describe how happy I am that Johnny found an Olympic sport that we can enjoy watching together. It was the perfect way to wrap up a perfect Valentine’s Day weekend!

Have you been watching the Olympics? What is your favorite sport? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Let It Snow OOTD Bloopers

Hello!! My wonderful hair stylist blessed me with a Christmas miracle by squeezing me in on her birthday for the appointment I had to miss when I had Covid. Honestly it was the best Christmas gift ever and I couldn’t be more thankful to her. Once I got home with my brand new do, I couldn’t wait to venture out into the snow to show it off in an OOTD shoot. It was icy cold but the fashion was oh so hot. These pics? Ehhh… Not so much lol check out the Blooper Reel from my Let It Snow OOTD:

When it comes to gift giving occasions, I am extremely impatient and would prefer to give my giftees their prezzies as soon as they’re purchased. I absolutely love picking out the perfect gifts for everyone on my list and I just want them to have it ASAP. Unfortunately, the old “Can I give you your Christmas gifts now?” works on literally no one. Except for one person – my Johnny! โค

Since we started dating, I truly can’t recall one Christmas, birthaversary, or Valentine’s Day where we gave each other our gifts the day of. It goes a little something like this: I am a chronically early gift shopper, I ask him regularly if I can give it to him, then he eventually caves. On Thanksgiving week, Johnny finally cracked and I was able to give him his Christmas prezzies – all of the Spinal Tap albums on vinyl. In my defense, however, Johnny technically gave me my gift earlier. All I wanted for Christmas was Little Nightmares III and he got it for me the day it came out in October. The Little Nightmares series is one of my all time favorite games and I simply couldn’t wait until December to receive the latest installment. It looks like Johnny beat me at my own game this year and I’ve never been more proud. ๐Ÿ˜€

No matter when, it’s always so fun to give and receive gifts… Preferably on the early side though!

Are you patient when it comes to presents? What is on your Christmas wish list? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Thxgiving OOTD Bloopers

Hello everyone and welcome to the Blooper Reel from my Thxgiving OOTD! Has everyone worked off their food coma? I’m getting there lol. I absolutely live for Thanksgiving food and the only setting I know once dinner rolls around is going hard in the paint! All I have to say is, I’m SO glad that we took OOTD pictures before our Thanksgiving feast because I literally couldn’t move afterwards. I couldn’t wait to get into sweatpants! The meal? Amazing. These shots? Not so much!

Johnny was off of work the entire week of Thanksgiving and I had a four day weekend. Even on the days I was working, it felt like a vacation because Johnny took care of the bunnies every morning and I was able to sleep in. It was freaking awesome! Although it was very hard to leave for work while he was posted up on the couch, those extra Z’s made my days a breeze and I was eagerly counting down until my time off too. It had been over three months since my last days off, which I actually didn’t realize until now. So, yeah, I really needed it!

During my four day weekend we got lunch with Johnny’s parents for Thanksgiving and I was able to FaceTime with my blogging bestie. Other than that, I did nothing and it was glorious! After going nonstop for what felt like forever, it was just me, myself, and the couch. And Johnny when he wasn’t napping. ๐Ÿ™‚ It was exactly what I needed. However, as I type this on Monday morning I think I could definitely benefit from another day off, or two, or ten. It is SO hard going back to work after a mini vaca!!

It’s back to the grind which means my Christmas countdown is starting NOW. Bring on more time off, pretty please and thank you! โค

How are you celebrating the holidays? Are you traveling during time off from work? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Howdy! Raise your hand if you’re feeling tired and eating ramen noodles for breakfast, can I get a hell yeah! Just me? Oh. Lol I did NOT sleep well at all last night but your girl is pulling through because this daily content doesn’t write itself! Today we’re going to take a gander at some yikes shots that definitely didn’t make the first cut of my Weekend Adventure OOTD pics. Then, I’d love to have a chat about what has been making me and Johnny laugh lately! You game? Let’s get to it:

Johnny is a big fan of standup comedy. Me? Not so much. If I want to have a laugh, I’d rather watch Step Brothers lol. Not when it comes to Pete Holmes, however! This past weekend we watched So. Much. Pete. Holmes and I honestly want to do it all over again. He is just SO funny and all of his witticisms have been in my head for days. Pete Holmes can only be described as jovial. He has the most infectious smile and is always funny without poking fun. His stand up is all about finding joy in the silly and he does it oh so well.

A common saying during Pete Holmes’ standup is “cashing your happy checks” and I just love that. Cashing happy checks is all about giving yourself permission whenever you want to laugh. To find amusement in every day situations no matter how small or mundane. It makes me genuinely happy to think about this giant, jolly man going about his day with laughter and the best part? We all can too! Who knew a standup comic could teach such a valuable lesson but I know I will be making an effort to cash my happy checks on the daily!

If you haven’t watched any Pete Holmes, do yourself a favor and get on that immediately. You’re going to love him!

Who is your favorite standup comic? What is your favorite comedy movie? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Mix & Match OOTD Bloopers

Hello everyone and welcome to the Blooper Reel from my Mix & Match OOTD! This look was the epitome of quirky cool and I absolutely love how it turned out. It is so fun to have fun with fashion and I encourage all of you to pop into your wardrobe and experiment. Mix and match to your heart’s content. It might not work or it will look amazing but if you never try you never know! These blooper shots, though? Not so amazing lol! Take a look:

As you all know, I am an avid reader. It is one of my favorite hobbies and once I start a book I literally can’t stop to save my own life. I typically read one book in a day or two per week, find a new one, and then rinse and repeat the binge reading. At a discount store, I saw The Wrong Family by Tarryn Fisher and decided to get it from the library next. I have been reading a fair amount of horror and was looking forward to diving back into my usual “Lifetime movie books” as Johnny calls them lol. He isn’t wrong! Once I got the book, I started reading immediately and it all seemed very familiar…

I kept reading for a chapter or two because sometimes those twisty novels all blend together. I have read so many intertwining tales of unstable narrators that I can barely keep them straight! I just couldn’t shake the deja read sensation, though, so I turned to my trusty blog for guidance. It turns out that I definitely read The Wrong Family before and I have the Lil Red’s Book Club to prove it! It’s too bad because after reading my review it sounded like a real winner. It even got the ten out of ten stars award. It’s also too bad that I straight up couldn’t even remember reading it lol SMH big time!!

My book blunder threw me off of my reading schedule so I am open to any and all suggestions on what to read next. Preferably something that I haven’t already read before! ๐Ÿ˜€

What is your favorite book genre? Do you have any recommendations for me? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Pajama Party OOTD Bloopers

Hello everyone and welcome to the Blooper Reel from my Pajama Party OOTD! I don’t know about all of you, but the best part of my day has to be when I get home from work. This is not to say that I don’t love my job but because I love the feeling of putting on pajamas as soon as I barrel through the doorway and set my purse down. There is just nothing better than slipping into something comfy, winding down, and binge watching whatever Johnny and I fancy. It’s heavenly! These pics? Not so much lol. Check it out:

Sundays in my household are strictly Lazy Sundays. Johnny and I hang out downstairs with the bunnies, he’ll go upstairs to nap, I watch whatever I want on TV, then I’ll head up mid afternoon. This past Sunday, I was on a Sandra Bullock kick as I recently read Bird Box and watched the movie. Johnny was still asleep when I got upstairs so I decided to put on one of my favorite chick flicks – The Proposal. It is just SO funny and cute and I put it on whenever I need a laugh or background noise. Due to my laughter, Johnny woke up about ten minutes later and watched the rest of the movie with me. He LOVED it and we have been quoting it all week. ๐Ÿ˜€

After The Proposal, I couldn’t believe Johnny’s movie choice… One of my OTHER favorite chick flicks: 13 Going On Thirty!! This is a movie that I quote constantly and one that Johnny has declined watching with me until now. The joke is on him because he ended up LOVING it too! Curling up in these cozy pajamas and watching chick flicks together was honestly like having a midday slumber party. We were giggling like schoolgirls at every little thing and delighting in seeing all of my most quotable parts. Next on the agenda? I see The Devil Wears Prada and What A Girl Wants in our future! โค

Sandra Bullock and Jennifer Garner in one afternoon? Be still my heart! It took over six years for Johnny to hop on the chick flick train and now that he’s onboard, I refuse to let him leave anytime soon! ๐Ÿ˜€

What is your favorite chick flick? Who is your favorite actor or actress? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah
