Makeup Magic OOTD Bloopers

Hello everyone and welcome to the Blooper Reel from my Makeup Magic OOTD! I would never consider myself a makeup girl and much prefer purchasing clothes and shoes instead. However, if someone else is doing my makeup then that’s a totally different story! I had such a delightful time getting my face beat by my makeup artist friend who works at MAC. She did a bang up job and I was SO impressed with her skills because Lil Red could NEVER lol. I wouldn’t even know where to begin to recreate the MOTD she made up on a whim. Although I was feeling myself in a major way after my makeup was done, yikes shots are always going to happen during an OOTD shoot! Take a look:

My Johnny and I very much enjoyed the horror series, Welcome To Derry, and were yearning for another scary show to sink our teeth into. I have always wanted to watch From as I have heard nothing but good things about it and we finally started watching it two or so weeks ago. All I have to say is: Holy shit. Lol that show is freaking nuts and we cannot get enough! I look forward to watching an episode or two every day after work and genuinely feel sad when it’s time to start heading to bed. This is the most binge worthy series I have watched in a long time and I highly recommend it to any horror fan.

To make a long story short, people who are traveling end up in a town they can’t escape from and creatures come out at night. The atmosphere is claustrophobic, the plot is insane, and the acting is sublime. It’s hard to put a tally on how many times Johnny and I say “wtf” when we are watching From but I would put it in the twenties, bare minimum. We’re honestly two of the most obnoxious TV watchers on the planet but it’s hard to not vocalize it because, I repeat, wtf with that show lol. If you are looking for a twisty, spooky tale that warrants a wtf every five to seven minutes, then you have got to give it a try! 😀

Wtf with From and wtf with these bloopers! Have a laugh and then have a scare because you will be hooked after one episode!

Have you watched From? What do you think of it? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

Makeup Magic OOTD

Hello everyone and welcome to a brand new OOTD here on lifewithlilred! As you saw a few days ago, I had a fabulous time getting my makeup done by an old friend who works at MAC. I rolled into the function wearing a 70s inspired outfit and she transformed it into David Bowie a la Thin White Duke and I was in love. The outfit might have been quite simple but when paired with the amazing MOTD that was created, it turned into an absolute statement. Between the makeup and my new hair I was feeling myself SO hard lol! Take a look:

Denim Collar Top: Truth By Republic, TJMaxx

Tan Slacks: Sincerely Jules, TJMaxx

Retro Platforms: ModCloth

Face Silhouette Earrings: Cynthia Rowley, TJMaxx

Although I wore the Truth By Republic top in a recent OOTD, I just had to bring it back for the one time. It’s so damn cute! I am all about classic staples with a twist and the denim collar and cuffs on this shirt are exactly what I’m talking about. Sans this unique touch, I wouldn’t have given this top a second glance. However, it immediately caught my eye. In fact, I tried on several look at me spring blouses when I purchased this shirt and it was the only thing that came home with me. The blouses were nice but the Truth By Republic top took the cake as it was so cool and different than anything I own.

In the pants department I opted for a pair of tan slacks by Sincerely Jules. While you can almost always catch me in black skinnies, sometimes I like to change it up! These straight leg pantaloons scream 70s to me and are so classic. They are perfect for work or play and I definitely appreciated the stretchy waist. We went to Buca Di Beppo after my makeup adventure and mama needed some breathing room afterwards lol. Between the pasta and A LOT of pre gaming with bread, I was completely stuffed!

Finally, it was onto shoes and accessories. For shoes, I went with a pair of retro platforms from ModCloth. These heels are as old as dirt and were purchased over a decade ago during a warehouse sale. You would never know, though! The navy in the wallpaper pattern tied the look together from head to toe while the orange and camel heel provided a fun pop of color. All that was left to do was accessorize and I kept it minimal with a pair of face silhouette earrings by Cynthia Rowley. These earrings are so funky and I was loving how the gold popped against my hair!

From the MOTD to the OOTD, this look was pure magic. I can’t wait to have more makeup fun with my friend soon!
