Howdy everyone and happy weekend! Once again, I am calling upon all of the fabulous Beauty Bloggers of WordPress for some HELP! I’ve been using The Body Shop’s Vitamin C Skin Boost for as long as I can remember. Although I’ve always found their price of twenty-seven dollars per bottle a little steep, I still shell out the cash when there’s a good sale. However, the price for the Boost is now almost thirty dollars and that doesn’t mesh well with my lifestyle of ballin on a budget.
I’ve been wanting to wean myself off of TBS products for some time now because I truly feel like I can find similar products for a better price elsewhere. Now that one of my favorite items in my daily beauty routine has hiked up in price, I feel like there’s no better time to start browsing the market for a new serum style product. Does anyone who’s familiar with TBS’s Vitamin C Skin Boost have any suggestions on a similar item? I have normal skin and am willing to try anything within reason. Thank you so much! -Sarah

Hi,
While I usually use Drunk Elephant, which is ridiculously expensive, I’ve been alternating recently with Lumene Bright Now Vitamin C Hyaluronic Essence. I have liked it, but I haven’t used it exclusively. If you want, check out my entry on drugstore beauty, where I review the Lumene.

Boots Botanics range is brilliant, definitely the best serum I have ever used. I will never go back to anything else, I’ve done a review on my blog previously also. It’s there ultra calm skin relief serum. And it’s always on offer for around 6.95 :’) x

Oooh that sounds nice!! Stupid question but is Boots just a UK brand? I seriously see none of their products when I’m out and about (I’m in Ohio)

Not a silly question at all, do you know what I’m not too sure, I know you can definitely find this product elsewhere online, sometimes when it’s out of stock I order from eBay because I’m that addicted to the product it’s that good!. I will try and find out for you!

Awesome! Thank you so much! I’d love to find out because until I started blogging I literally had no idea the brand existed until I started hearing about it from the people I follow in the UK

Not a problem at all, i’m glad I can help. There’s a lot of things here in the UK that is exclusive to the UK, so if you’d ever like to do a swap and send some exclusive things over from our countries that would be awesome, and would make an excellent blog post. x

I remember I blogged about this product for my winter skin care routine… I like it, but I don’t think it’s really doing the trick. My aunt suggested this to me and it’s been amazing: vodka. I bought a good (not cheap, but not expensive. definitely in a glass bottle) vodka and put it on a cotton round and cleanse my face with it. I haven’t used a serum. It cleans and brightens!

Omg. Best. Suggestion. Ever. The only hard liquor I drink is vodka so it can work double duty if it’s kind to skin, too! Score!
