All Done Holiday Shopping!!

HURRAY HURRAY! As of this week, I am officially all done holiday shopping and I seriously could not be happier. Being finished with gift buying less than halfway through November might seem obscenely early to some but, for me, it is just right. For as long as I can remember, I have never been one that enjoys last minute shopping or even going to the shops as Christmas draws closer. Don’t get me wrong, I love holiday set ups in stores and magnificent window displays just as much as the next person but, my god, the stress can be unbearable.

What if I can’t find just the right present in store? What if the gift arrives broken or the shipment gets delayed? What if the present is out of stock by the time I get to buying it? What if, what if, what if. AHHH! Just typing this out gives me anxiety!! I am far from the home stretch, just because Amazon packages still have to arrive, but the fact that I’m ninety-nine percent done makes me breathe easier.

Not only the aforementioned, but I’m happy to get one big bill out of the way now, rather than have it broken up into December when I’ll be trying to save moolah again. Hello, holiday cash! This is the earliest that I’ve ever completed my holiday shopping before, and I find myself wondering why I haven’t done it like this every year. The major stress of the season is gone and now I can sit back, relax, and sip my hot chocolate while the rest of my family and friends do the December Dash to get all of their shopping done in time! But that’s none of my business. πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜‰

Who else is all done holiday shopping? Who is a last minute gift buyer? I want to hear from all of you, so leave me a comment and let’s chat! Much love. -Sarah

  1. Hey lilred! I like to go shopping with my mom usually around early December. We usually go pick ourselves some winter clothes and than she goes on a different date to get the rest of the stuff. Early shopping does sound like a good idea. You just get it over with. It sounds like you had a lot of peace while shopping which is good. So anyways yea… great post!

  2. I have half of my present already and hope to have the rest before December hits. I too hate last minute shopping for the same reasons. It’s too stressful and shops may not have what I’m looking for! πŸ™‚

  3. Wow!! Already done!? That is awesome! I am definitely a very last minute shopper. I never have a clue what to get for people. Maybe I’ll start NOW. Being able to sit back and actually enjoy the holiday season sounds unbelievably amazing. Thanks for inspiring me to get on the ball!!!

    • Girrrrl I promise you that if you have all of December to sit back and enjoy yourself you are never going to be a last minute shopper again.
I always start my shopping out by making a list of everyone that I need to buy for and jotting down some of their hobbies, teams that they like, etc and going from there. Once you narrow down the type of gift you want to buy, it makes shopping a lot easier!

  4. Way to go lady! I am almost done. I usually start the day after Christmas and spread it out and it culminates on Black Friday (hello steals and deals!) when I usually finish. I also prefer to enjoy the season rather then be stressed out that I have to not only shop, but go to a mall (shudder) and actually wait in lone lines ;p ❀

  5. Well done to you. I wish I was this far ahead. I find the whole thing very daunting and haven’t started yet, but I know I need to soon, I don’t want to be left panic buying and risk not being happy with what I have bought. You might have given me the kick I needed. Thank you πŸ™‚
